  1. If I was forced to make a prediction, I would have to agree that everyone in Bills Nation not to mention the organization itself is going to regret passing on Clausen. I think in time he will be a repeat Pro Bowler.
  2. It comes from someone with no common sense and apparently not a bit of football knowledge. You are correct, our QB situation might be the worst in the NFL, but I too would take any of our 4 QBs over Smith, an under achieving piss poor attitude player who was a fit for the college system, but not the NFL. Maybe he can try the NBA like Charlie Ward did, or just disappear like Tommy Frazier, two of the best college QBs over the past quarter century.
  3. You are exactly correct. I don't hate T.O., but I watched the games. If he scored a touchdown, he would momentarily be all excited and flex his arms at the crowd and try to fire up teammates. More often though it was the opposite, he would sulk on the bench because he wasn't getting the ball enough. Several times when balls were intercepted, he could have either prevented the interception or chased down the defender with his speed, but he instead chose to look up at the crowd or back at the quarterback and throw his arms in the air. Once again, I am not a T.O. hater, I didn't totally agree with giving him the kind of money they did on a team that wasn't close to winning, when he is more suited to be on a team that just needs one or two pieces to complete their puzzle. Those who actually watched the games would say he never lacked effort, and it wasn't every play, but for that money it should have never occurred.
  4. He made up for it with his lack of effort while he played for us.
  5. Colt Brennan, Chase Daniel, Ken Dorsey, Timmy Chang, John Beck, Eric Ainge, Kliff Kingsbury (I think he was actually in camp with us a few years ago), Chris Leak, Brad Banks, Graham Harrell, Brian Brohm (oh crap we already have him?). We could get any of these "college stars" for nothing, why would we give up anything for Troy Smith?
  6. Good to see there are still people on this board who understand the English language and don't take everything literally.
  7. You are the one who needs to give it up buddy? You are the only one in the Continental United States that agrees with your point, so what does that tell you? It should you that you are the one who needs to stop talking, because you sound even dumber with each and every post you reply to trying to justify your ridiculous point. And no, being in Camp and OTAs doesn't give you NFL game time experience, anyone who lives in the real world knows that. If you would stop talking, maybe less people would throw your stupid ideas back in your face. The point of Hamden was a sarcastic point that was being made, but I guess you don't understand that either? No surprise?
  8. None of that relates to NFL experience and success. If just being in NFL Camps and OTAs was all you needed, Gibran Hamden would be an All Pro by your standards.
  9. I too think they messed up by not upgrading at the QB position, but now it is a little too late most likely, as nothing out there is worth adding at this point, just weeks from training camp. Even if they did add a QB at this point, they would gain nothing at all by adding Troy Smith, other than a crappy attitude and another former college QB who hasn't been able to adapt to the NFL game. He would be no upgrade at all over any of the three veteran QBs we already have, so why would you add him?
  10. I too believe we have one of, if not the worst QB situation in the NFL, but why would you add a 40 year old QB who was out of the league for a few years and got cut from the Raiders? I am not suggesting it, but if one wanted to add a veteran QB, there are many better options than Jeff Garcia. Didn't this same idea come up about a year ago with Garcia? At this point, and I would have love to have seen them upgrade at the position, it would be best to ride it out and see if Edwards can produce, if not, we will be a top 5 pick next year and we can take yet another shot at getting a franchise QB with a first round pick.
  11. My dream last night has Alyssa Milano in it, she came to my room and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!
  12. Flip Wilson/Geraldine-for those of you old enough to remember.
  13. At this point he resembles every other hyped up rookie who hasn't even played in a game yet. So I guess he resembles, Chris Johnson, Kijana Carter, etc.
  14. My heart says Frank Reich My head says Earl Morral Honorable Mention: Jeff Hostetler, he was a backup when he beat us in the Superbowl. I can't think of another QB that took over for the starter at the end of the season and lead his team as they dominated throughout the postseason. If I remember right, Phil Simms got hurt against us, the same game that Kelly got hurt and missed the last game or two of the 1990 season. Hostetler was unproven at that point, and Parcells had faith in him and it paid off.
  15. That is a whole separate issue, please don't get me started. My daughter was at school in April 2007 at VA Tech and lost 3 friends that day. Even before that incident, I have thought it is absurd that the everyday individual is even allowed to carry around firearms. There is nothing good that can come of it. Even when a Police Officer uses his weapon in self defense or to protect another human being, he is put on Admin Leave and is basically guilty until proven innocent, so how would it be handled with a regular citizen. Down here in Virginia they just passed a bill that an individual can carry a gun into a bar as long as he doesn't drink-is that freaking retarded or what. I really like Virginia, which is obvious since I stayed down here after I retired from the Navy, but when it comes to guns and the legal ability to get them, it is the most pathetic state in the country. Regardless what these Charlton Heston wannabees have on their bumper stickers, "Guns DO Kill People."
  16. You must have been doing more than smoking a little weed to be dumb enough to take a gun into a place like L.A. Colliseum. Do you take it to PTA Meetings, Sunday School Services or Preschool Show and Tell? Someone sitting getting stoned couldn't be half as stupid as someone who carries a gun to an event like that. Your picture isn't up at the Post Office is it?
  17. That is too dang funny, even if it is sadly true.
  18. There is a much better chance of seeing Brohm on one of their rosters, although he might end up on their practice squad if they have one.
  19. How about you wear an O.J. jersey and your groomsmen can wear Al Cowlings jerseys.
  20. Born and raised in Seneca Indian territory in Salamanca. Graduated from Salamanca in 1980. Joined the Navy at 20 and retired 20 years later and stayed in Chespeake, Virginia. Seems like next to WNY, the most common place of residency on this board is Virginia, no wonder you see vehicles with Bills stuff on them all the time down here. My first Bills game, O.J. got his 10,000 yard against the Falcons and the Bills won 3-0. Still go home every summer and have went to Camp at St. John Fisher every year since it moved there.
  21. There is more than one writer that thinks that.
  22. Why not, 90 year olds adopt 50 year old men all the time don't they?
  23. Hopefully: 16-0 Realistically: 5-11 With Brohm or Fitzy: 2-14 With Edwards all 16 games, maybe 8-8 on a good day If they start juggling the QBs, which in all likelyhood they will, 4-5 wins is best we can hope for.
  24. What is Spiller's trade value, Fred Jackons' value, Byrd's value? Makes just as much sense as trading possibly the only decent receiver we have? We don't know what any of these other guys will bring, regardless of how much you or anyone likes them. No one ever won games based on likeablity. If they even entertained trading Evans, there should be a firing squad set up at OBD and start blasting idiots in the front office.
  25. I have never used duct tape, that is pretty tacky, but when the Bills signed Bledsoe, I did remove the sewn on "Johnson" on the back of it with a razor blade until I could get one with Bledsoe's name on it. The funniest one I have seen was the year after they took a crap and McGahee came out and landed in Baltimore, one guy at training camp covered up all but the first few letters on the back and changed it to "McLovin." I have so many jerseys of ex-Bills in my closet that I refused to buy a Owens jersey, it was obvious it was only going to be a one season stop in Buffalo.
