Buddy's first BIG mistakeS
billsfreak replied to John Cocktosten's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good post. It isn't only us fans that get tired of losing year after year after year after year. If the Bills would have told him from the beginning that he needed to make a decision or gave him a deadline to let them know it might not have come to this. All along they were just telling him to take his time. -
Buddy's first BIG mistakeS
billsfreak replied to John Cocktosten's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The truth is the Bills were letting him do that until a couple days ago. They probably should have done it months ago, but to wait until now and contradict yourself seems like we have another bunch of minor leaguers running the show again. Now the word is that they are going to release him today? Plain stupid, you don't lose anything by keeping him in the failed to report list, at least try to trade him for something. Another incompetent front office apparently-but that is what you get when you buy from the bargain barrel like Ralph always does. -
Rocky 3 was the one with Clubber Lang (Mr. T.), the worst one with the exception of #5 with Tommy Morrison in it. Funny though, if anything Spiller will be the opposite of Rocky. Rocky was a nobody who shocked the world, Spiller could end up being a big hype machine who disappoints Bills nation. He already is acting like a whiny little baby.

Buddy's first BIG mistakeS
billsfreak replied to John Cocktosten's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It does seem a little odd, that all along the Bills were basically saying Schobel could take his time and they would take him with open arms when he came in. Then suddenly when the word/rumor was out that he was looking for a place in Buffalo to rent, they told him he wasn't going to be a Bill in 2010? So far with the Schobel mess, the drafting of the few positions we already have depth and not at the positions we don't have players-period, not too impressed with this new regime, seems like more of the same we have been seeing for over a decade. Way to go Ralph. Like Greenberg said on ESPN this morning, the Bills are "A Shame." -
What some fans say on the internet now will have zero to do with in an extension in 5 or 6 years, Zero. It will come down to money, just like his holdout now is. He hasn't done anything in the NFL yet, so instead of whining like a little biotch online, get into camp and prove you are worth something and maybe fans will stop "picking on you." Please, if this guy is going to be a whiny baby online what is he going to be like when he doesn't get the ball and watches Jackson and Lynch get the majority of the plays because he wasn't in camp to learn the system? Face reality, if he turns out to be a star, no way he stays here when his deal is done, if he is an average player, like a Josh Reed he might stick around for awhile, otherwise it is greener pastures for him. BAZINGA!!!!

Day autograph sessions at camp
billsfreak replied to CodeMonkey's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That is exactly the way it has been every since they moved to Rochester. The website lists which players will be in the tent for the duration of camp. When my daughter was young enough to get in the line, she used to sit there in front as soon as we arrived, reading a book and by the time the practice was half over, the line would be cut off it if was a popular player, like Poz. -
Believe it or not that is the common thought around the country with the exception of a percentage of Bills fans who remain hopeful (or delusional) year after year. Just this morning on ESPN Radio with Mike and Mike, Greenberg referred to the status of the Bills as "A Shame" because of the history and the great fans countrywide of the team, Golic said they were "Just trying to get off the ground" and John Clayton said "The Bills are on the Clock." I don't mind these quotes, because until the team and organization prove them wrong, their quotes are fairly accurate, and the only way to prove them wrong is to win, baby win! Clayton did say that the defense is better than you would expect but that there really isn't much of anything on offense, which at this point is pretty accurate also. The keys to this team improving in 2010 are many, but most importantly the quarterback and Offensive Line play have to improve dramatically.

Camp Full Team Autograph Session-Last Night-Did you go?
billsfreak replied to billsfreak's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks for the info, I come up every year but have seen it before and after practice. You kinda have to choose if you wanna get one or two "stars" or a whole bunch of the other players, but either way it is a good deal. The schedule of when they have full team sessions is on the website. Oh, by the way-Like your avatar, greatest 3 peice band that ever played. Thanks again. -
Any chance of the Bills scrimmaging the Jets?
billsfreak replied to Charles Romes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It would already be on the schedule if it was going to happen, but within the division, probably never happen. I did enjoy the scrimmages against the Browns, which ended a few years ago. -
I always wanted to say this because I have had it thrown my way a few times: LINK?

It is only a couple days into camp, give it a few weeks when they get closer to breaking camp and it might just change.
-
I read where he said he wasn't going to do that and put the Bills on the spot, but both sides have been telling obvious lies so what would stop him from doing that. He said he is interested in the Texans, but they have enough DEs, so unless they have an injury, they aren't interested in him. He could pull what Favre did in Green Bay, but in this case, the Bills would probably keep him.

I don't give a crap how much money Ralph is spending, I just want a winning team for a change. I am not directly paying for any of it, and what money I do put into tickets, clothes, souvenirs, etc, is still going to go up every year regardless how much the Bills spend. I too am not sure why a fan would say, don't sign so and so, he wants too much-hell if he helps us win I say sign them. Until the day when I am signing those checks ( and I am not holding my breath), that is the way I feel. Fans of a team that has went longer than any other team in the NFL since making the playoffs and are a perennial laughing stock, should never be happy with more of the same garbage. That is part of being a fan is wanting your team to win, this losing sucks so damn bad.

If the Bills do anything other than leave him on the failed to report list and keep the rights to him or trade him for value it just shows you this regime is just more of the samr lame crap that we have been putting up with for years here. Let's see if Nix and the rest of the game have any balls and keep all the cards that they are already holding and not give in to what apparently was what Schobel wanted all along. I have always liked Schobel and thought he was underrated and was hoping he came in until this crap today. If the Bills let everyone who didn't want to play in Buffalo get their way and leave, they might not have enough players to field a team. Go Buddly, show us if you have any nuts or are just another continuation of the spinless garbage we have become accustomed to. Something must have happend or there are a bunch of liars here. Up until this point, Schobel said it was the Bills or retire and Nix was saying just a week or so ago that Schobel is always welcomed back and we aren't going to rush him. Something smells rotten.

Fitzpatrick states he can throw 73 yards
billsfreak replied to Glass To The Arson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He would be lucky to throw it 73 feet. -
So you are sticking to that once a year whether you need or not?
-
We are not the last team every year to get our first round pick into camp, I think Crabtree signed after the season started last year. I do think this year though, we will be the last or second to last to get our first rounder signed, only one that might take longer is Suh in Detroit.
-
Maybe he didn't do anything to warrant putting a highlight of him up? That wouldn't be totally surprising would it?
-
I agree, the current ones are the worst they have ever worn. I have pretty much really liked every one they have used up until these CFL type costumes.
-
That could be the result, let's hope so. I like Trent, but the reason he is starting is because he is much better than the other choices, hands down. His upside might not be as high as Brohm, but there is a 100 times more of a chance that Edwards will reach his upside over Brohm reaching his. From what was written about camp so far, is Brohm really isn't being given a chance, Levi Brown is getting more snaps than he is, so the coaching staff must have seen something during OTAs and mini camps.
-
I hope I am wrong, but I have a feeling that Spiller is going to be one of, if not the last 1st rounder signed. The reason I am thinking this is that the Bills are going to want to pay him based on the picks around him, but his agent is going to try to get more because he was the first running back picked. I hope I am wrong, but that is my gut feeling.

More great news on Eric Woods.
billsfreak replied to lets_go_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For a team that hasn't had much good news over the past few years, that is great news. Let's hope he gets back to 100%, I really think if he can he will eventually be a Pro Bowl player.
