If he was traded to GB it wouldn't be this week. The game plan is already in place by thursday so trading him now would be like handing them the playbook. Second thought, it is probably going to look like they have it anyway. This is not the NFL of 20 or 30 years ago, there is no building for the future nowadays. It is a "Win Now" league, with free agency, salary cap and huge signing bonuses, teams go from last to first every season. Ralph has hired a dinosaur for a GM that still thinks it is 1980 and he won't do anything except keep things they way they have been, or worse. Like someone else said on this post, what has he done in the 9 months he has been here to return this team to respectability? Nothing other than signing a couple "C" level free agents that nobody else probably wanted (one couldn't pass a physical anywhere else), spent the first round pick on a position with the most depth on our roster (and the easiest skill position to fill on the team) other than maybe DB, and ignored the two most glaring weaknesses on the team (OL & QB). They tell the media they have faith in Trent Edwards, then they put someone at LT to protect his blindside who was just another retread off of Green Bay's practice squad. I realize nobody is going to right this sinking ship in one season, but they could at least make an effort, the rest of the league isn't going to wait around for them. How many rookies from this draft are going to make an impact this year? Spiller maybe, if he doesn't get killed. Troup is a project, a couple are hurt, they cut the first QB they drafted here. People criticize Levy on this board all day long, there are still more players from the 2007 draft making an impact and contributions to this team than this years draft probably ever will.

Are we the worst team in the NFL??
billsfreak replied to buffalo_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At this point, I would have to say, Yes, we are the worst team in the NFL, realistically looking at it. Do I like to admit that, heck no, the truth hurts. I have read dozens of articles, rankings, etc. and the only team that any of them have at the bottom with us is Tampa and they are 1-0. Until this organization gets an owner, FO and coaching staff that has a clue, nothing will change. -
You are correct in both highlighted areas, but the truth is, for every year you delay filling the two most important positions on the offense, if not the entire team, it is another year that you delay any respectability returning to your franchise. It happens once in a blue moon that an QB or LT comes in and saves the day as a rookie, both positions take a few seasons, normally, to adjust to the speed of the NFL game. Clausen wouldn't have saved us this year, but he would moved us one season closer to being decent, and a losing season, as we all know is a long one.

I stand by what I said a few months earlier, when a few members of this board went apeshit wanting to bet me that the Bills wouldn't be in the top ten picks of the draft. They will be in the top 3, and most likely they won't be standing shoulder to shoulder, they will be below the normal cellar dwellars. I was not and am not going to bet against the Bills, as I am as big of a fan as anyone on this board, but unlike some others, I am a realist. You are correct in that most teams would have addressed the two most glaring needs (OL/QB), but not this regime, which is one reason why there will be no improvement over last year, but regression instead. Every time they bring in a new coaching staff, new FO, etc. they hype up things and get everyone excited and expecting improvement, but the wheels keep spinning in mud and no consistent improvement results in the management changes. Until things change, this new regime will be no different, and the results are only going to get worse. They spend their first round pick on a RB (could be great, but has a better chance of getting killed on this team), which will only stunt their growth another season. We had two running backs on the roster who have already rushed for over 1,000 yards in the NFL, there are no other positions in the NFL that need seasoning at the NFL level more than QB and Offensive Tackle, before they become legitimate NFL caliber players, so the longer we take to get someone in these positions, the longer until we become respectable. There are no fans in the NFL that get tortured like Bills fans have for over a decade, we are the Pittburgh Pirates of the NFL.

Sounds like something that nobody has ever said about you. So what happens if a team knows this and employs a different defense against the Bills, and one QB took all the reps in game planning during the week? You might as well draw straws, flip coins or guess a number. It sure is nice of you to let him know that the decision is all his though. If anything on the Bills was your call, we probably all would be gone-voluntarily!

Not to mention that JPLosman is all one word. I guess they will let anyone join this board. Maybe he is still on probation, but kinda negative for just starting on this board, that usually takes a week or two.

You forgot "Hit and Run"
-
Smart post, although after reading people's posts on this board it can't be true, it is all Trent Edward's fault.
-
If you support it, that must mean that Trent Edwards wasn't out there?
-
Am I missing something here? Or is this the most contradictory post ever on TBD? As far as I know, male reporters in a WNBA locker room would be reporters of the opposite sex in the locker room. Hint: The "W" in WNBA stands for Women's (or words to that effect) I believe.

Do you realize how ignorant you sound? If you looked for any articles or facts on this whole issue, you would find out that she isn't the one who complained, yet she found out the following morning on TV that it was even an issue. She said she wasn't offended and isn't suing or filing any complaints against anyone, it was the media around her (mostly male) that had a real issue with what was happening. Get your facts right before you spout out.

Were you in there while the ladies were changing clothes?
-
So now not only is Edwards the blame for everything that has happened negative with the Bills over the past four seasons, he is a coward too? You are a piece of work with your 92 whole posts. If anyone is a coward it is you, go take your crap somewhere else. Wouldn't it just be quicker to make a post "I hate Trent Edwards" then sign off? Everyone gets it you dumbass.

I remember back in 1989, the year of the Bickering Bills, the whole reason for the bickering was that poor performance of the Offensive Line. Now the offensive line play then was Hall of Fame caliber compared to what we saw this past sunday, and Kelly still pointed fingers at the line and blamed them. Now I am not comparing Edwards to Kelly, just to keep that dumb post from happening, but to me it isn't leadership when you point fingers at your teammates in the media. So much for that nutshell.
-
First he isn't a fan now this, he should be executed. Wow, what's next, criticize his hair style just to have something to say negative about him? Some of you Trent haters need to go find another team to cheer for on sundays.

Yes the passing game sucked BUT
billsfreak replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are exactly correct, if the game would have been delayed for lightning it would have been Edwards' fault too on this board. Trent wasn't great, but he was much better than the O-Line, and the passing game was lights out better than the running game and that isn't saying much, check the stats. -
I have always thought something was wrong with women being allowed in a men's locker room while men are walking around naked, which in my opinion is taking "Women's Lib/Rights" too far. I am all for women being able to do just about anything that a man can do, if they can physically do it, it isn't right that the men have no privacy. I do not in anyway excuse what the Jets' players said or done and they are at fault as long as the female media member's are allowed in the locker room, but there are never any men in ladies locker rooms, especially when nudity is present-double standard? Now, I don't think men should be in ladies locker rooms, as I don't think women should be in men's locker rooms. There are plenty of opportunities for females to get interviews without talking to a guy with his junk hanging out. Like someone else said here, the majority of the female reporters are quite attractive, and this one in particular, is a model, and may I say is smoking hot, which only adds to the chances of something undesireable happening, after all these are human beings of the male species in the locker room. Picture yourself, about 22 years old, with a lady that looks like that, with a body like that, dressing like she does (she is a model and her main genre of reporting is not sports) and she looks down even by mistake and sees your manhood, the majority of young men are going to get a stiff proposition for her, if you know what I mean-now is that offending her? Just to put it out there, from what I have heard on the radio, this reporter isn't suing anyone, and she didn't even report it, she found out the next morning on TV about the whole incident. Just imagine if men reporters were allowed into the ladies lockerroom after say a WNBA or NCAA women's championship where there was nudity-every time the reporter glanced below the neckline a harassment charge would be brought against him.

How do you know he is sitting there lonely? Is there something that you're not telling us? If he really was sitting there waiting to play he would be playing.

1. Isn't Flynn their backup quarterback? Not many teams will trade their backup QB, when they lose their starting RB and have a capable backup in Brandon Jackson for a RB who is one strike away from being suspended, and is only a portion of the RB the he used to be. 2. Don't we have enough crappy QBs that Green Bay wasted picks on that couldn't cut it there?

Norwood's Jersey displayed in Giant's Stadium?
billsfreak replied to Transplant's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My first question would be "How did they get it" and did Norwood or someone within the Bills need the money that bad to sell it? Like someone else said, classlessness aside, it minimizes the accomplishments of their own team. Kinda says that they didn't win the game but the Bills lost it (okay, so maybe we do feel that way, but if we were on that sideline we wouldn't). -
Worst Quarterback in the NFL
billsfreak replied to Benjamin Barker's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Edwards wasn't great by any stretch of the imagination, but based on week one the following look more lost or incapable than he was: Matt Moore Mark Sanchez Derek Anderson Jake Delhomme Jason Campbell Kevin Kolb That is just off the top of my head, and ones that if you watched any of the games they played in can't be argued. Also if I may point out, every one of the quarterbacks have a better supporting cast than Edwards does around him too, especially in the Offensive line and receiver areas. Cut him some slack, after all he is still on the practice squad! That and of his 125 posts, 120 have said pretty much the same thing. -
News Flash: The O-Line Played Well Today (sans Green)
billsfreak replied to Got_Wood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are quite accurate in your post, and you can add that in the very first two pass plays, the first hit Fred Jackson in the hands and he dropped it. The next, Bell stood there and watched like a spectator as Edwards was driven into the turf by Carlos Dansby who was more untouched than I was sitting in a recliner watching the game. -
News Flash: The O-Line Played Well Today (sans Green)
billsfreak replied to Got_Wood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the offensive line played well against the Dolphins, then Trent Edwards started his march towards the Hall of Fame. That was one of the most pathetic displays any offensive line has ever had, ever. -
Brohm chant at the next home game?
billsfreak replied to Pirate Angel's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Excellent post, and it goes both ways with regards to people slamming someone like Gailey after one game, they shouldn't crown him the next HOF coach after yelling at a few fans at training camp too. Very good post. -
Wake up! Fair and realistic? You have made a whopping 118 posts, and 117 posts have included your hate for Trent Edwards. I am glad we have Ryan Montanapatrick and Brian Unitasbrohm on the bench.
