Trade Lindell to the Saints
billsfreak replied to Geno Smith's Arm's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How many times can you recall a kicker being traded? Probably none, because it doesn't happen. Why would a team give up something for a kicker, when there are a line of suitable kickers out there waiting to be signed? Not gonna happen. -
Just watching the CBS pregame show and they were talking about the new quarterbacks this weekend and when the talk of the Bills came up, Boomer's comment was "Ryan Fitzpatrick will lead the Bills right to the first pick in the 2011 draft" then he said something about Mallett being a Buffalo Bill in 2011. The sad thing is, it is the same thought around the country about our team, and even sadder is it is true. It has been a terrible decade plus to be a Bills fan. This is first season in over 30 years where I am not psyched up for sundays and Bills' games.

TOP 20 smartest athletes in all of sports
billsfreak replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bill Gates is fairly smart also, but sadly, he probably wouldn't be a very good NFL QB either. -
It has to be Trent Edward's fault! This subject was a post a couple weeks ago? So what can the Bills management do about it? Nothing, they can't even run their own franchise, they don't need to stck their moronic noses into another teams franchise. It is kinda tasteless, but who cares, ignore it. My ownly question would be did Norwood sell it to them? Donate it to them? As far as laughing at the Bills of the last decade-they deserve it. The whole franchise from owner down to the last man on the roster has been a joke, and you laugh at jokes. I would be laughing too if I wasn't a Bills fan, instead I have a decade long upset stomach.

That might be the most truthful line posted on TBD in quite some time. -
Bills are being laughed at on the field.
billsfreak replied to b stein 22's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree, I think that surprised look is still on my face from years ago when I heard it announced. -
Nix hasn't had a best move yet and probably won't. So far his short tenure has been a disaster. We all need to wait for his replacement before this team does any improving on the field. Lynch's contract is up in two years, he wants out now so why would he stay when his contract is up? In his disturbed mind he has done nothing wrong to lose his starting job. I do think though, that with all things level, and if he ever got his head on straight, he is still the best back on this roster.

With The 1st Pick of The 2011 Draft Buffalo Takes ????
billsfreak replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Knowing this team, they will pick another running back. They have a decade long track record of just that, so it would be a safe bet. Will probably be someone at a position we are the deepest at anyway. -
Bills are being laughed at on the field.
billsfreak replied to b stein 22's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Whitner needs to quit talking and start playing better and maybe some of the laughing would stop. Besides, where has he been? This team has been a joke around the league and around the country for a decade and still is. Probably always will be until the team has a new owner with the desire to win and not make every move with spending as little money as possible to do it. -
Is it safe to say we are officially cursed?
billsfreak replied to beggar13's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A curse is something that the recipient, in this case the Buffalo Bills had nothing to do with it happening. In the Bills case, it is all the owners, management, FO and coaching's fault for the problems that the team has had. -
Trint surprised he was benched
billsfreak replied to b stein 22's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seeing how he had no help around him it kinda caught me by surprise too. Gailey is putting the blame for the pathetic offense on Edwards when he should be looking at the offensive line, right after he looks in a mirror. He might just see someone that resembles Jauron if he does look in the mirror. He has been anything but impressive so far. Even if the switch was a good move, it wasn't obvious, so why not keep it under wraps until sunday? We need any advantage we can get, why not let the Pats gameplan for an immobile Edwards then when the game starts they notice Fitzy running for his life behind our terrible offensive line. -

Well said and very accurate. -

Exactly, some people on this board act like Edwards poisoned their pet dog or something. The guy hasn't been good, but there isn't a quarterback in the NFL that would have done much better with no offensive line and one NFL caliber receiver who is always double or triple covered. The guy hasn't thrown an interception this year that was his fault, both of his int's hit his receivers in the hands, it is their job to catch it. Edwards will be back in before the season is over, because Brohm sucks and you know what you get with Fitz, an average backup at best. I think if Fitz got hurt, Gailey would go with Edwards before embarrassing himself with Brohm. -

Gailey appears to be no different than Juaron, Edwards will play again before the season is over. -
Where did you read that Kolb has become available for a trade? The Eagles never said that, in fact Vick is only under contract through this season. Even if they were trying to trade Kolb, there is no way on the moon that Ralphie is going to let them trade for a QB making $12 million this season, and just signed a huge contract a couple months ago. Kolb hasn't done anything in the NFL to prove he can be the QB that you can build a team around, Rob Johnson had one great game too, but how did that turn out?

I don't know how many people think he is a savior, I am sure there is a few, but I do think this move screams desperation after only two games. Anyone who watches the game knows, the biggest problem is the offensive line, so the only part of this move that makes sense is becuase Fitz is more mobile, and will be running for his life, just like Edwards was. How much could have changed in just two weeks, after looking at who knows how many hours of film, mini camps, training camps, pre season games, etc? It obviously is another season of "Here we go again!" Give it 3 or 4 weeks and then it will be Brohms turn, then back to Edwards, etc. It is becoming apparent already that this coaching staff is just another in the long line of jokes and no different than Jauron, Mularkey, Williams, etc. As long as Ralph is around things will never change. Gailey and Nix claim it is going to take some time to rebuild, rebuilding takes consistency and changing your QB every two weeks sets you back to square one each time you do that. I like Fitz, but as people have been saying over the past few weeks, we have the worst starting QB in the league without a doubt now. This FO screwed up their first draft by not addressing the QB or Tackles positions, and it is becoming more and more obvious each and every game.

Little doubt our O-Line is the NFL's worst now

You just plain don't know shiit about football do you? -
Little doubt our O-Line is the NFL's worst now
billsfreak replied to billsfreak's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I never said it was and either/or situation, it just isn't and "all Edwards fault and with anyone else in the NFL at QB we would be a good team" like alot of Edwards haters seem to imply. If all these people know more that the announcers on the game today, why are they sitting at home watchng a game and not in the booth at Lambeau Field calling the game along side Randy Cross? Cause they are full of it, that is why? They have horse blinders on and little knowledge of the game of football, thinking that if a QB is good they will be good on any team with any O-Line, and if they aren't it is all their fault. -
How many poor games in a row until the coach is fired?
billsfreak replied to Chuckknox's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am not a Gailey fan yet, and still think they went cheap in hiring a coach and FO, but anyone who suggests firing a coach that took over one of the worst teams in the NFL after only two games is a moron. Ain't that the truth-they had to dig deep in the gutter to find this one, he was about their 10th choice, the first 9 said NO! Makes you kinda feel about the kid in school who nobody wants on your kickball team in gym class, eventually you have to take the last kid left-Gailey. -
The Offensive Line was even more pathetic this week than last week, and to be honest I wasn't sure that was possible. We will have the Edwards Haters Club full of idiots (like Benjamin Button) who will try to blame it all on the QB but that will just be a display of their ignorance. He had no time at all today, then on the few plays when he was given time, the recievers would drop the ball. The first three pass plays were two sacks and a ball that hit Fred Jackson in the hands and he didn't catch it (same as the first pass last week-is there a pattern here?). Even the announcers stated that is doesn't matter who the quarterback is, if they don't block or catch the ball the QB won't be successful. Now don't get me wrong, I am not saying Edwards is the future of this team, maybe his is, maybe he isn't, but it really makes you sick the people on TBD that don't know football and blame everything on the QB. He didn't throw a single interception today (or this year for that matter) that was his fault. Johnson should have caught the one that hit his hands and the other one Parrish should have caught and not handed off to the defender. This team has alot of weaknesses, but none as glaring as this O-Line, which the team ignored during the draft and off season this year-at least as far as bringing in quality and not some other teams garbage. Before the season started most predictors said we were one of the worst two teams in the NFL, along with Tampa Bay. They are now 2-0 and we are 0-2 and not even competitive, so it is really tough to argue that we are the worst team in the NFL.
-
Maybe it is time you remove your horse blinders away from looking at Edwards and look at the team. You might be correct, he might be one of the five worst QBs in the league, but we also have maybe the worst Offensive Line, One of the worst Defensive Lines, one of the worst owners, one of the worst receiving corps, one of the worst coaching staffs (so far), the worst set of backup QBs in league and at this point, the record shows, the worst organization in football. So all of this said, you obviously have a personal thing towards Edwards, or else you would see all of the other areas that are no worse on a comparison to the rest of the league than Edwards is to the rest of the QBs.

Several reasons why top FA won't come to Buffalo: 1. An owner that won't pay what most other teams will pay. 2. An organization that won't put as many quality players around him while he is here like alot of other teams will. 3. They do everything for the most part on the cheap end-coaches, GM, players, etc. And seem content with being a cellar dwellar as long as the team is profitable. 4. The team has gone longer than any other team in the NFL without making the playoffs. 5. Is a perennial loser, has a reputation and expectation of losing year in and year out, and is considered a joke by most of the league and the nation for that matter. 6. Players that bring their families with them, would rather take them to Tampa, or somewhere else if they have to be on a losing team. Might as well at least enjoy the weather if you can't enjoy sundays at the stadium. 7. Bottom line, players love money, we all know that but to get to the level of the NFL you have to be a serious competitor, and competitors like to win=don't come to Buffalo if you want to win, because the organization won't do their part.
