Or Steve Young, Brett Favre, Johnny Unitas. Not saying he will be any of these, just saying for the sake of argument. I agree that Spiller will probably turn out at least good (but it was a luxury pick on a team that can't afford luxury picks), but the rest of it you are guessing on. How many of them are even playing besides Spiller? I watched Wang too, almost every game (my daughter just graduated from VT), and I like him too, but he is a project, a converted TE, so that is a crap shoot also. No I didn't want Tebow or McCoy, although passing on Claussen in the second round may turn out to be big mistake. To not address the two biggest and glaring weaknesses at all during the off season shows that they are guessing themselves. That is just it, from their actions since they took over, they clearly do not have a plan in place and are shooting from the hip on almost every move they make.

What I meant to type was that I hope the Bills do win, my mistake, which is why I said read the whole sentence. I guess my frustrations with this franchise not even trying to win has me not even being able to type. Although if they don't win, I do feel the same about hoping Edwards does good. I have never in over 40 years hoped the Bills would lose, even if it was to get a better draft pick like some people do. Some people on this board choose to turn a blind eye to every stupid thing this franchise does and then look like idiots defending it. If this team went 0-16, they would find a way to say it was a successful season, like they have been in a coma for the past decade. Just because you are a realist and don't live your life in a fantasy that this organization isn't the laughing stock of entire league, doesn't mean you aren't as big of a fan as they are. Some people here put on their rose colored glasses and sit in their high chairs and enjoy criticizing people who are only facing reality.

Trent talks about being released
billsfreak replied to joejoebills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I totally agree, alot of professional stuntmen wouldn't get behind the Bills offensive line. It can be more dangerous than jumping out of an airplane with no parachute. -
No, they are the worst team in the NFL, and it isn't even very close. Real the whole sentence before you open your trap Moron. Compare it to having a mechanic for you car. If they keep messing your car up, are you going to keep believing they are great mechanics because it is your car? I certainly hope not.

Must be at Penn State they don't teach students the meaning of the word "some." -
Trent talks about being released
billsfreak replied to joejoebills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Kinda gay isn't it? Goes along with worrying about what jerseys other guys are wearing at the game, instead of watching the game yourself and having fun. Watch in about 9 days when Edwards is playing in the Ralph against the Bills and leaves a winner. Nix, Chan and Ralphie will be hiding under a hat or something-kinda looking forward to it. A little karma for the 3 idiots who are making this disaster of a franchise even worse. -
Del Rio is so fed up with his quarterback, that I won't be surprised if he plays against the Bills next week. How would that look if Edwards comes into Buffalo and lights the Bills up. I hope the Bills don't win, but if they don't (and they may not at all this year), it would be nice to see Edwards come in and shove it in Gailey's and Nix's faces. Maybe wave to Tight Ass Ralphie up in the box if he is actually visiting Buffalo that weekend.

It is a good thing that you are pulling your pork before you get to the game. On a serious note, I live down in Virginia near the North Carolina border, where pulled BBQ pork is king, so it is all around down here. The stuff is awesome, one of the few things that can be reheated and not taste like crap. It is best with some fresh coleslaw on top of it.

I think last season, Lynch did do some "dancing" and looked heavier, sluggish and just not into it. This year after a little playing time, he seems to be back to his old self. I said months ago, if he got his head on straight, stayed out of trouble and got in shape, he is still the best/most complete back on the roster. I like Fred Jackson, but if you had to trade one of the them (I wouldn't trade any of them myself), I would trade him. Fred is smaller, older and doesn't have the hands (he has dropped both passes thrown his way this year) that Lynch has. To trade Lynch at this point, would be dumb, but it would follow the pattern that this new regime is already establishing for themselves.

Why KC 3-0 and Buffalo 0-3? Ownership.
billsfreak replied to DarthICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly it is like comparing Vince Lombardi to, well Chan Gailey? Montana to Losman? Donald Trump to a homeless person. -
The answer to all 7 of your questions is - This new Front Office and Coaching Staff hasn't done anything yet that makes any sense so why start now? I have to agree. With the exception of a couple young defensive backs, who on the defense would anyone want? Poz could be good but can't stay healthy. The D-Line is terrible, and hasn't yet been told they are supposed to rush the passer. He isn't the worst player on the defense, and not by a long shot. I haven't missed a play watching the games this year (yes it is tough), and other then when they announce the starters, I haven't heard Stroud's name mentioned, not once. I see Torber in the picture once in awhile, but haven't heard his name mentioned either. Only time you hear Maybin's name is when he gets a penalty called on him, which is about every other play that he is on the field. I agree, that I don't know why they would be in a rush to extend him, but he is not worse than anyone else on the D-Line or linebackers at this point.

Why KC 3-0 and Buffalo 0-3? Ownership.
billsfreak replied to DarthICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That could be because two thirds of the teams that the Bills have played have been playing each other and it is kinda hard for someone not to win in that scenario. -
Why KC 3-0 and Buffalo 0-3? Ownership.

The Chiefs have already won more games this year by week 3 than we are going to by the time the season is over. -
Why KC 3-0 and Buffalo 0-3? Ownership.
billsfreak replied to DarthICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are absolutely correct in your assessment of Ralph, but the GM and coaching has much to do with KC being 3-0 and the Bills being 0-3. We have been bad from top to bottom this year, just like the past 10 or 11 seasons. No changes. -
Signing Levi - Was it our best option ?
billsfreak replied to I hate the Bills !'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
After the actions of the coaching staff and front office over the past few weeks, I am convinced that they are not any better than the people they replaced and maybe even worse. It is so clear they have no plan, look like a bunch of fools to the rest of the NFL. The phrase that is becoming popular on television shows and internet sites, which was stolen from Manny Ramirez but is "Just the Bills being the Bills" with every dumb move they make. I thought this new regime was sent it to fix problems, but they are making it worse. Brown was here, wasn't good enough to be a practice squad quarterback, had a tryout with two or three different teams who weren't interested, now he is the #3? Makes no sense. -
22 Different Starting QBs since 1992
billsfreak replied to Fairport Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Actually they have had 3, Majkowski started the beginning of the season until he got hurt. But, you point is well taken and it is quite an amazing contrast. One is a solid wall the other is a revolving door of failure. -
I am suspicious of open roster spot
billsfreak replied to Another Point of View's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree, LJ hasn't just lost a step he has lost a bunch of steps. I wouldn't think the the Bills really do have any plans of trading Lynch at this point. If they did, the smart thing would have been to protect J. Bell on the practice squad when the Eagles tried to claim him. It is normally no big loss when you lose a practice squad player (just ask the Packers), but I was kinda bummed that Bell got away. -
The Media's Opinion is a Joke !!
billsfreak replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe because the Bills do suck, have sucked and there isn't much of anything good to talk about with them. This organization and ownership only have themselves to blame for being labeled a losing franchise and a joke among the NFL and only they can change that. I don't know if you watch baseball, but how often do ESPN or anyone else say great things about the Pirates? We are the Pittsburgh Pirates of the NFL. Poor ownership with a bigger emphasis on making money than being competitive. It is so obvious, just look at the history-Ralph has hired one previously successful head coach in the long history of the team-Chuck Knox, and he left as soon as he could and turned down an extension, which has to say something. Levy wasn't successful before he came here. Actually after Knox, Juaron probably had the most previous success being named Coach of the Year in Chicago-and that certainly speaks volumes. -
I am suspicious of open roster spot
billsfreak replied to Another Point of View's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If they bring Brown back it will really make them look ridiculous, since Brown has had 2 or 3 tryouts for a #3 spot and nobody has even thought about making an offer to him. Besides Ralphie loves open roster spots, that means he is paying one less salary than other teams. -
Let's look at the timeline. -A little over two weeks ago training camp and the preseason ended, the coaching staff made it sound that it was more than obvious that Trent Edwards was the best quarterback on the team. Two weeks later he is benched then a week later released. In a little over two weeks he went from being the teams best option to a QB who is a free agent with at least 6 teams arguing over the waiver claim order so they can pick him up. I know the many Edwards haters on this board will like the move, but the way it was handled is ignorant. -A couple weeks ago, Spiller was the starter with Jackson the backup. Lynch was on the border of being traded and was a malcontent who the staff was voicing their displeasure in through the media. After one regular season game, Lynch was now the starter, Spiller was used as he should have been, and Jackson barely sees the field. -A couple weeks ago, after a training camp where one of the biggest battles was the #2 receiver. After a long battle, Steve Johnson was the clear winner of the #2 receiver according to Chan Gailey. Now two weeks later, he is no longer the #2 and Roscoe Parrish, an undersized speedster is the #2, a role no other team would use him in. -The starters in the defensive backfield seem to change every week. It is obvious that the new regime, Chan and the staff are already in a panic mode and have no long term plan for this team. What were they looking at during training camp and the preseason that so many changes have to be made so soon? I am not saying that Fitz shouldn't have replaced Edwards or that these other changes are wrong, but it just seems like there are a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off running this team. Juaron was criticized by Bills faithful for doing the exact thing that Gailey is doing, so obviously this new regime is no different that what we have seen for the past 10 plus years. Is there anything more torturous than being a lifelong Bills fan?
