  1. The way Rinehart has been playing Urbik might have a tough time getting back into the line-up. The O-Line is playing so well this season ...
  2. The first loss will be tough this season because we are on such a high! Sadly the naysayers will immediately increase their level of irrational venom that gets rationally minded fans sick. Oh to feel as good as we all feel right now all season!!! I truly believe that this team's character will have us all smiling in January for what they accomplish!!
  3. Happy for him ... would love to see this kid make it! And, who knows he could end up back here ...
  4. It sure does help to understand the rules .... helps to eliminate conspirarcy theories.
  5. Wish I had known about the REPLAY ... here's a brief moment with George Wilson in the locker room after the game .... Wilson Speech
  6. I am certainly not a Jets' fan even if they do play in New Jersey and can't stand that blowhard Ryan but to say the Jets are on the brink should be taken two ways. They are either on the brink of collapse or on the brink of turning it around. Frankly, I do not see them as this awesome power house but at the same time I would not dismiss them to Dolphins' status. Let's see how the next few weeks roll out .... if at the half way mark the Jets have an equal number of losses as wins then I'll conceded the point that they are not as good as the experts claimed but otherwise if we are to reach the top we will be in an ongoing battle with the Jets.
  7. Well ... I frankly have been ignoring anything from ESPN since they are wrong more often than right. Of course, I don't mind all the positive vibes the Bills are getting from them now but I know it's just their thing of the moment. When the season is over, I expect that Dareus (along with the rest of our D) will have some stat numbers and other highlights that put him into consideration for the Rookie of the Year. I still am glad we took Dareus over Miller!
  8. I think Gailey is right in stating that the challenge he faces is of over confidence but using the game of statistics is never successful because my stats can always counter your stats. It's what a team does on the field that matters most. I love AJ Green, he's on one of my fantasy teams, but no rookie is a sure-fire superstar no matter what that well known talent evaluator Jerry Rice has to say. Dalton's college career I am sure made his family proud as well as the alum at TCU but how many college stud quarterbacks are there in comparison to successful NFL stars? So, all that being said this is a dangerous game for the Bills. I think they are going to win but I am glad I am not a betting man because then I couldn't feed my family. However, this should be a victory for the Bills and they will be coming home 4-0 to play the 'Dream Team' that is having nightmares since it doesn't have an offensive line nor any linebackers plus their $100 million man is playing more like the old Mike Vick if he plays at all.
  9. And, to think people on this board ripped Gailey for saying that ... people in the media thought he was crazy ... and here we sit at 3-0 with a team that knows it can come back from almost any deficit and win. Folks, we have ourselves an "ELITE" NFL head coach. I can't think of any other coach I'd want along the Bills' sideline in a game (Ok, there might be a certain someone in New England but I really wouldn't want him as ours even though he is the best of the coaches.)! He is molding his type of team and it is paying off. It will be interesting to see what he can do on the D side but right now all I can say to those who have been lamenting not getting some retired guy or tv commentator you were soooooo wrong!
  10. What a great CHARACTER PLAYER .... there's fire in his gut and Nelson is a perfect example of what it takes to be a Chan Gailey Buffalo Bill!
  11. This is a new Bills' team!! I remember some great night games back in the Kelly era ... our track record has been pretty poor any time of day/night for the last 10 years!
  12. So many critics of the line ... so many wanting to rip apart Bell or Pears or Urbik ... It's early but watching this line play conjurs up memories of some of our past glory lines ... we had one in the mid-60's, the early 70's, and obviously the mid-80's to mid-90's and it's about time the Bills have a line for the 21st century!
  13. Frankly we shouldn't be tested against the Redskins nor the Cowboys. The Eagles are not a Dream Team and yes, Michael Vick DID NOT break his hand but he is playing and talking like the old Michael Vick not the one year wonder from 2010 plus the Eagles' OL and linebackers are really weak. The Giants are interesting because they have an overload of injuries but keep making things work but again not an impossible team to beat. Our challenges will be the Jets, the Patriots in game two, and being over confident. So, looking at the next six if the Bills continue to play with this 'can't lost' approach while limiting errors to equal trade-off's with the opposition. Bengals - Should be a Bills' win Eagles - The 12th Man should hope. Jackson and Chandler will have huge days exploiting Eagles' weakness another Bills' win Giants - This will be a struggle as the Manning momentum continues and playing in New Jersey has all the appearances of this being loss number one. Redskins - Going across the border should finally give our Canadian fan base an easy win. Jets - Another home game for us and the 12th man can rattle Sanchez plus we need the pass rush to do the same. Jets' running game has apparently died because their OL is no good. Would hate to lose to two New Jersey teams in a row but this will be a battle and possibly loss number two. Cowboys - If we have stayed healthy we should ride out of Dallas with a victory because we are clearly the better team and much better coached. Jerry Jones will be driving them nuts by this game. So, I sit here and see a Bills record of 7-2 after nine games. I just don't see this team losing two games in a row. But this is the National Football League and on any given Sunday anything can happen. But, doesn't it feel good to be able to say there is a possibility that this Bills' team might be 7-2 or 6-3 or even 5-4 after nine games? GO BILLS!!
  14. BELL, LEVITRE, WOOD, URBIK/RHINEHART, and PEARS clearly are proving the vast majority of this board's 'extensive knowledge' of offensive line play as being totally wrong. All those who screamed about our need to bring in an old worn out retread because our young players should have been immediate all-pro status have shrunk back into their corners. The running holes are there, the pass blocks are there, and the upfield second blocks are there. GO BILLS!
  15. I don't have any problem with King's rating. Our victory is being toasted all over the national media today (Fitz is on Rome's show right now and Rome is just cheering on the Bills) but if you take a deep breath I think we can all understand why the Patriot's are ranked higher after the first three games. As for the Lions, they are 3-0 too but their defense has shown a little more than ours to date. What matters is that we are on top of the division, 3-0, we have a division win and three conference wins. Can't wait to watch the rest of the season ... all that matters is come February that we have the last selection in the first round of the draft! GO BILLS!!!!
  16. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Eagles Head Coach Andy Reid is reporting that Michael Vick DOES NOT have a broken hand. He has a blood contusion that caused initial x-rays to have the appearance of a break but after numerous tests, his hand is not broken. His status for the game with San Francisco this weekend is unknown as is his status for the Bills' game. Here in South Jersey, we have learned to not always trust reports coming from Howard Eskin under pressure and he is the sideline reporter who started the broken hand story. Hand is good link
  17. With the 7th pick in this year's draft the BUFFALO BILLS SELECT STEVIE JOHNSON wide receiver from Kentucky. #13 was a draft pick ... but what an incredible tribute to players who have the desire to prove everyone wrong. Talent and drive and attitude are making this Bills team a winning team with the key ingredient being the incredible coaching of Chan 'We Want Cohwer' Gailey!
  18. WHAT HE SAID! Add Poz and Stroud to that list of good guys who just didn't have what it took out on the field to win games and were apparently satisfied with losing. That is the biggest change ... these new Bills believe they will win and I think they are not going to be satisfied with anything less.
  19. ESPN will probably move us up one spot ... hahaha This start has been absolutely amazing. What truly matters is that this team does not lie down and fold like Bills teams from the First Decade of the New Milennium would have done. These undrafted, rejects who have been attacked at every opportunity by many on this board are proving they are winners. And, when you start to look at the schedule ... there is a different reality that comes into focus from the one we had in the preseason. No longer can games against the Eagles, the Chargers, Patriots in New England, Jets, and Giants be viewed as sure losses for these Bills. And, the games with the Dolphins, Bengals, Titans, Redskins, Cowboys, and Bronco's all are very winnable if we stay healthy and continue to play with the energy and spirit of these first three weeks. It feels SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD right now! GO BILLS!
  20. Tackling is not programmed into his robot brain ... I was shocked that the announcers especially Gannon failed to comment about Brady basically waving at Florence as he went by him.
  21. And, an offensive line that the vast majority of this board was ripping from one end to the other ... screaming at the decision to cut Hangman who had trouble pushing across the line ... our line has stood up with amazing consitency opening holes for Fred and keeping the opponents off of the AMISH RIFLE! Where oh where are those who said the Bills would be going 0-16 ... We have a coach finally! We have a general manager finally! We have a quarterback finally! This is a new Bills team for the second decade of the 21st century. That first decade is history along with its ugly uniforms! On to the Bengals ... and then home again for a very beatable Philadelphia Eagle preseason "Dream Team!"
  22. No mistakes ... no stupid penalties ... pressure on Brady ... OL continuing to prove they are for real ... and LIGHTS OUT returning to form plus Dareus is due for a really big game!
  23. Anyone doubting that we have a leader at quarterback??? Heck, with him as the quarterback I would think any player would want to be out there on the field ... what a difference from the other collection of fools we have had since Kelly retired.
  24. Parked in front of my TV in NJ ... thank goodness last week I was sitting at THE RALPH with that beautiful sunshine in my face even though the two fans behind me starting attacking Fitz beginning with the first series ... it's funny how they shut their mouths in the second half although their constant calling of MCKELVIN MCKELVIN made me think that they were really Raiders' fans who had put on the wrong shirt and hat on the way to the stadium! I truly hope the 12th MAN starts shouting early and loud and keeps it up all game long. GO BILLS ...
  25. I do believe that this is evidence once again of the expertese that the experts on ESPN have. I was listening too when he started talking about Nelson as a TE and I just started to laugh .... I guess this says something about the Buddy Nix system as well as Chan Gailey's coaching abilities.
