  1. The makings of a very good front seven ...Heard looked good in spots but I want to see Jasper in Week Four to be fair to him.
  2. If they get cut ... let's sign them ... have to be better than what we have plus they can give us info. about the double B!
  3. "Assistant Head Coach" Bobby April was not given the opportunity to truly compete for the Bills' Head Coach position and therefore choose to leave the organization with a bad taste in his mouth. I do not believe he would have chosen to work for any Head Coach of the Bills no matter how nicely they begged him to stay because in essence he'd have been coaching for someone who had a job he had wanted to have a chance to get for himself. I do not think he would have been a good Head Coach but he gave us the only quality football during the first ten years of this century. He is missed as is his magical system. The Philadelphia Eagles now benefit from his outstanding work. Bruce still needs to sell me on his 2011 Special Teams' coaching abilities and with the new kick off rules he will be tested as well all other ST coaches.
  4. And,Kelsay looked good playing DE. He was not meant to be an OLB but as a DE he puts decent pressure on the QB and gives us a solid player who is smart and respected by teammates and coaches.
  5. Pears didn't look out of place last night, not a stud superstar but for a first preseason game he didn't do anything to embarass himself. Urbik on the other hand was like a deer in the head lights. On the screen pass to Spiller all he had to do was put his body on the defender who was a couple of feet away and CJ would have had a chance to break it. Instead Urbik stood there ... Again, it's the first preseason game but if the reports out of camp are correct we may see last year's center at RG and last year's RG at center. Geoff would at least is a smart player and at guard he wouldn't be blown away by NT's any more.
  6. Does anyone know when the first cuts have to be made? In his case, I think it's time to set the boy free ... the dollars frankly don't matter because what he will be paid he will be paid but keeping him is just a sign of failure.
  7. The lack of effort makes one wonder if Drayton will be one of those players who signs their 'BIG CONTRACT' and then just stops working. All I ask is a little effort but his lack of showing any interest in making the tackle is a concern especially since the coaches do not have him as one of the starting two DB's and there's a guy named Aaron Williams who once he gets over some rookie issues is going to be a really good DB in the future.
  8. Let's start looking for CFL cuts from their preseason too ... if there's one guarantee about this board it is that someone will get all excited about any team's first cuts as if the other team was so stupid as to cut a player in the first round of cuts who can be an NFL starters. This is not to say that we don't need some reserves on the OL because other then 4 out of 5 who looked good (LT, LG, C, and RT)... I didn't see any performance worthy of a starter in the NFL.
  9. Things can still develop when you hold on ... you would hope he's not the first to be let go of ...
  10. First, I am a Lee fan! He has been a good soldier for the Bills even though he would have had greater success with any team that had a decent passing offense. I truly believe he can compete and is an asset to the Bills. That being said, Stevie is clearly Fitz's 'go to guy' and Fitz is not going to be throwing many streak pattern passes that Lee excels in. Also, we have a strong cast of young players who look really good in the wings but until they get their shot it's impossible to know for sure if they can be long range starters. Lee's salary has absoultely no negative impact on the structure of the Bills. He is underpaid if anything so discussion of his pay is irrelevent. What really is interesting is that the Cardinals may not be the only team in need of a receiver with Evan's skill set. The Philadelphia Eagles' Jeremy Macklin is a mystery non-player right now and the discussion in Philly is that his 'illness' may be much more serious than first diagnosed as mono back in March. If we can get two teams into a bidding war ... well then we might get more value for Lee than he is worth and if that's the case I say make the trade Buddy and let's let the young players prove themselves on the playing field.
  11. WECK sadly met its demise and is now elevator music but I was thrilled yesterday when I switched from SCHLEP and his BULL to John Ditullio on WHTK because he actually was at the BILLS camp and he actually had a LIVE on the FIELD INTERVIEW with Fitz! It gave some insight into Fitz and isn't that what SPORTS TALK is about to give us sports insight? Ditullio also had INTERVIEWS with others about sports and I didn't hear a single list and at no point in the interview did he state or imply that he didn't know what's going on. I know where I'll tune on my computer ... just a shame that some Buffalo station doesn't simulcast him because when I am in Buffalo and driving about I am limited to SCHLEP and BULL in the afternoons unless I switch to national stuff on my XM such as ESPN. If you are in Buffalo write the GM or Program Director of GR and ask them why they aren't out at Bills camp. At the same time let the advertisers know that you aren't happy.
  12. Well worth our investment in him ... Buddy saw a quality player available and brought him in and then signed him up. Not just for the sake of making a splash with the headline writers by overpaying for a player like Jacksonville did with a certain MLB but carefully examining what the team needs are (He tried to get Clabo but Clabo wanted to stay home.).
  13. Agree ... White needs to prove himself on ST but I like this mix for our hybrid 3-4.
  14. I agree ... Bell will be starting in Kansas City, this is a minor tweak but ... somewhere out there we need to find a quality back-up LT because Wang sure does not seem to be the answer. If the line stays healthy then I am feel really good about the starting five and the depth at guard. Wood has the potential to be a pro-bowl center and Levitre might be joining him there.
  15. It seems that in the South Jersey Shore area there are not enough Bills' fans to create a Bills' Booster Club or we just don't know where we all are. Unfortunately, the Booster Clubs are all at least an hour or more from the shore. If anyone is near Atlantic City or Ocean City and interested in starting a Booster Club let me know.
  16. I am tuned in to WHTK from Rochester right now ... they are broadcasting from camp and Fitz is live on the air. Rochester Sports Talk can cover the BUFFALO Bills but Buffalo Sports Talk can't ... go figure.
  17. I should know better .. .I should know better but I wanted current Bills' news and had a break at work to go online ... and I tuned into Schlep and Bull ... they were talking football but the two of them were confused about who was on what team. They are so clueless ... they were avoiding talking about the Bills except for laughing at the preseason point spread for the KC game. I know this is a repeat category but won't someone please start a real sports talk station in Buffalo. By the way, does GR ever talk about the Bisons? UB football or basketball? Oh well .. back to WHTK online or ESPN online ... these guys are a total waste ... And, I hate starting another link about Schlep and Bull but they are AWFUL but my Buffalo sports addiction keeps me reaching back in hopes something good will be there for me .. but no no no no
  18. We get hung up on the population of the City of Buffalo but you are so right WNY's total population is over 1 million. I for one am thrilled we have a stadium with more seating because it allows non-season ticket holders, like many of us who live out of town, with an opportunity to see a game or two at a reasonable price. Plus, we sell it out ... Miami, Jacksonville, and other bigger cities can't sell out even smaller stadiums ... GO BILLS
  19. SAYS IT ALL ... thanks for the report, does ROME have access to interviews on web?
  20. As a UB alum, I was thrilled to hear Gailey say he looks forward to seeing what Namaan will do this year in GAMES! I think that unless he screws up, Namaan's roster spot is secure in Buffalo ... no speed but hands that catch them all! GO BILLS ... GO BULLS!!
  21. Will definitely try to catch a game with you guys ... a little bit of a drive for me! Anyone interested in jerseys?
  22. Looking around for SOUTH JERSEY/PHILLY Bills' fans who know of any Bills' Booster clubs and more importantly to see if we can go together to make a jersey purchase. I am going to order my new Bills' jersey because I want it on my back for the home opener with the RAIDERS when I will be up at THE RALPH and the price goes down when more of us join in the purchase so help me save some $$$ while you save some too. We might be in IGGLES Territory but it is definitely GO BILLS!!
