Duke may be starting over Fowler
High Mark replied to bills_fan_in_raleigh's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Either way, once Butler is back, I second the motion to keep Preston at Center. He has proven to be better than Fowler. Best case scenerio Preston meshes well and center becomes a non-need this offeseason. We can all wish -
F that, everyone knows that Pirates would kick the sh*t out of ninjas

Ok, when will our D-line consistantly pressure the QB We didnt vrs Miami and Arizona, and we lost. Schobel has been terrible after he wanted to lose wieght to be faster. He didnt get any faster, just a lot weaker. He was never a speed rusher but and effort technique guy. Now he is too small (last I heard he was at or under 260lbs) to do either as tackles jsut push him around. I feel he maxed our a few years back when he abused the then rookie tackle D. Ferguson for 4 or 5 sacks in 2 games. I vote go after Suggs and let him rush the passer from teh DE spot every play

The reason why we lost...
High Mark replied to BillnutinHouston's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Expand How? The pick was not his problem as the rushing d-lineman hit Trent's arm while he was trying to throw. The only reason he was there is because of the "O Sh*t" block by whoever was playign RG at that point. The Safety fumble is on Peters/Dockery. Those 2 didnt block Porter at all. Royal Fumble- Def not Trent. Which one's do you blame on him??? I'll assume you watched the game EDIT: On a side note, maybe we can invent an offense that completely eliminates the tight end position, as we will seemingly never get one worth their weight in fecal mater. -
Parrish---why is he not a better WR??
High Mark replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
its hard to see 5'7" running a crossing route out of the slot. Thats why we need a big TE. Parrish is a perimter player that needs open space to be good. If he starts in the slot he is not effective going over the middle, and that eliminates 60% of the field from him to utilize. -
I need to change your guys ways of thinking
High Mark replied to cantstopbeastmode's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bob Sanders seems to make a lot of big plays from his safety spot. They run the same defense, and title aside they play the same position as free and strong are not much different. So he doesn't get many picks, ok I can deal with it, but he misses too many tackles. He missed 2 or 3 on 3rd down situations that would have forced punts vrs. Miami.... -
WHEN WILL DONTE GIVE UP A BIG PLAY???
High Mark replied to YOOOOOO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When was the last time people threw at Palamalu?? He still makes plays on the ball. Whitner is good, now we need him to be great. Jump rountes of other recievers when your at free safety. Make tackles behind the line when your in the box. He needs to become an impact player who can win us a game, the same way Mitchell did 2 weeks ago. Being steady is one thing, being dominant is another. -
Its not Marshawn. He isnt going to make the perfect read every play just as the O-line isnt going to make perfect blocks every time. But you can't fault Marshawn for trying to make something out of nothing by dancing. I would say that There was one good hole for him to run through yesterday and he took it for 19. If we could get 50% of that hole more often we would see Jackson and Marshawn getting over 100. Personally I dont care if it takes 2 3 or 4 backs to get us over 100 yards as long as we can run the ball. Just as long as they give it to Marshawn gets the goal line carries
-
Bottm line... the Bills need a heavy dose of Marshawn to win games and we didnt get that this week for whatever reason. Jackson is good but really should only be used as a spell for Marshawn not a 50/50 carry situation.
-
AMEN As for Hardy, there is not a corner that remains on our schedule that will line up against Hardy and be able to defend that little stop-fade route we completed at about the 5 yesterday. I would love to see Turk force some 1-1 coverage on him with our formation and let him use his size to complete some 15-20 yard throws.
-
If McGee is healthy enough to cover.... well anyone I think we will be ok. O yea and Marshawn should carry the ball when you can see the endzone

anemic pass rush more anemic than I thought
High Mark replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The best pass rush I have seen out of our DE's this year was when they put Kyle Williams at Right End.... Im embarresedd. Food for thought.... Bills draft Chris Kelsay over Osi Umenyora. Rat farts. -
I dont believe this crap at all. Classic case of cantaminated samples or mis-handled testing. With testing so rampent these days, theres no way that all of these players would risk it, AND get caught at the same time. Not to mention Pat Willaims isnt built with muscle......
-
I think we win on Sunday if Lynch gets 4-5 of Jacksons critical carries.
-
Lynch is one of the best short yardage backs I can remeber watching. I dont recall him missing many, including when he breaks two takles before getting back to the line. Yet on that sneak, and on 3 straight runs from inside the 10 he doesn't carry the ball. If he gets those carries we get the first and the TD. 13 carries is not enough for his talent

The reason why we lost...
High Mark replied to BillnutinHouston's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Main reason, McGee should have been pulled. He wasnt even on the TV screen when the Wr was catching long, duck passes from P SHooter. Trents only bad turnover was on the Sneak. WHY was Marshawn ridin pine when we run the ball three straight times inside the 10??? He does not get stopped inside the redzone as further proved later in the game. He would have gotten in on 2nd and 3rd down. thats 4 points. 13 carriesis not enough for him. If Marshawn gets those carries, and Mckelvin replaced Mcgee in the 2nd after it was obvious McGee was not good to go we win the game. -
This team has needed a TE since Metzelars left. What makes you think we are ever going to upgrade the position. Face it, the Bills FO loves bad TE's and Royal is the perfect fit.

Players Suspended for Doping (Rumor)
High Mark replied to JimBob2232's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Noone has mentioned the fact that with such an increddibly high number of failures, the tests may have been contaminated. Travis Henry appealed and won his case of a mis-handled drug test last season, and that was a one case situation. When I saw this about the 4 Saints on the ESPN Bottom line, my first thought was the tests were contaminated and probably not legit. I bet the NFL throws out these tests results and retests. If they do not I see a lot of players appealing the results and there being a good chance of them winning. -
So what are all the men supposed to watch?

As a QB who does Edwards most remind you of
High Mark replied to JimmyPage's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Joe Montana= Trent Edwards -
You are correct, but one thing never made sense to me... Why didn't the 49ers draft Trent if they knew about him??? They are in desperate need of a QB, and he was a home grown kid. Thanks a lot Bill
-
Trent's Official nickname is Captain Clutch, as dubbed by me after he lead us back from a 9 point deficit in the forth quarter, twice, for the second straight 4th quarter comeback. He will soon has his own cereal, and most likely a copyright infringement lawsuit from Kelloggs

The end of the "we reached for Whitner" argument.
High Mark replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And every other analyist beside Mayock.... I love Whitner and am pleased with the selection at 8. I just want to say he was not a top 10 safety at the time of the draft, and to say otherwise requires hindsight. Mel Kiper also had McCargo as a 4th round selection, he was right on track that pick, maybe even a bit high. -
Some observations about Edwards' passing stats
High Mark replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Trent scores the BIlls touchdowns, which pleases me. I also feel that Trent could throw on 99% of the plays and we could still win games. Maybe if we played the Lions D more often we could pile up stats like Rodgers. The Bills also score using all of their assets, not just their QB. -
The end of the "we reached for Whitner" argument.
High Mark replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
OC, your arguement is not focused correctly. If you want to argue that the player Whitener is NOW, was worth the 8th overall pick, I dont think there is a bills fan here that will argue with you. However, you need to take into account the draft, Whitners percieved value in the draft, and the percieved value of the other players. For whatever reason, Whitner was seen as a late 1st, top of the 2nd round safety. Ngata was seen as a top 15 player. In the end, the bills got Whitner and a DT, McCargo (bust). I LOVE Whitner, but I am also a firm believer that we could have taken Ngata at 8, then traded up and taken Whitner in the same manner we did for McCargo. Hell he could have still been on the board at 26. That is the reason some fans will never feel that the Bills took the correct player. No fan thinks Whitner was not worth the 8th pick, just as no fan would take Whitner McCargo over Ngata Whitner...
