  1. There is no need to throw for that many yards unless you are down. Our D has never put us in a situation to need to throw for that many yards. Also our running game, if better, would help keep us on the field longer. Additionally we rarely take shots down field, probably because we cannot get an 8th man in the box with our lackluster run game. You need to complete a lot of 5 yard passes to throw for over 300...
  2. STOP CALLING IT THE WILDCAT. They stole it from Arkansas who called it the WILDHOG. Dolphins are neither wild nor cats. Lets agree to that right now. Maybe the Bills could run some CRAZYINDIAN formation....
  3. Quinn threw almost every one of his passes to checkdown recievers unless he found Edwards or Winslow singled up on the outside. He was also able to avoid being sacked while showing great pocket pressence and athletic ability. I predict them marching down field with 5-8 yard completion quite easily. Any pressure we may be able to get on him, he will be able to avoid and make good decisions. I also had a dream last night where Kelsay got a free shot at the Quinn, but when he tried to tackle said player, he had forgotten he had elbows and hands, and the result was him swinging his clubs of human flesh at Quinn before tripping and falling to the ground. Quinn then threw a TD to Winslow. The crowd, embarrassed by the play of our starting DE, then just started cheering, WINSLOW__WINSLOW (ala Takeo Spikes) in an effort to lure him to Buffalo....
  4. Did you guys watch the game last night? Yea he had that killer drop at the end, but all of his other catches were top 10 plays. 3 seperate times Quinn put the ball about half an inch off the ground but he was able to go down and get it. No RECIEVER on our team could have caught those JP esq passes. Then on his second touchdwon he was able to keep his balence after a hit and stay in bounds. Second, if you talk to any Cleveland fan, they will tell you he is a very hard working player and cares about the team. His only incident was calling the team out for well, giving him a potentially deadly disease...TWICE. Lets get him for the right price.
  5. Lets change the focus of this debate from signing Hall, to resigning Greer. I think everyone on this board would rather retain Greer, who will also be cheaper. I think with the depth we have it is in the Bills best interest to lock up Greer and let mcGee walk next year. I think Greer has played better over the past 2 seasons and will be cheaper than McGee. This will also give Youboty/Mckelvin/Corner another year to improve. In the meantime we can hopefully develope a pass rush
  6. Where did you hear rumors of Kelly and Walker being cut? Thats who I am interested in, mainly Kelly... Any Links?
  7. Absolutely no suprise there. I dont see how anyone could have seriously thought he was going to be any good ever. If you had ever seen him play you would have known that he wasn't going to. And dont give me that too early to tell crap, I knew before he signed his contract he would be a bust bigger than... well everyone
  8. Wont that cause one hell of a mess to the Raiders cap situation?
  9. Lets not forget, I think one of the main reasons for drafting 3 corners, along with signing the since departed Will James was an attempted to be able to macth up with numerous 4-5 WR sets the Pats were going to throw at us untill Brady's injury. Next season we will be seeing the SOB again. We will need McGee, Greer, McKelvin, and Youboty if we hope to slow their attack. PS -- Terrel Suggs
  10. I struggle to see how an admitted socialist taking over one of the msot successful Capitolist countries in the history of thw world is clearly the correct choice.... but who knows
  11. way to make my day even worse... I totally got a case of the Mondays.
  12. hopefully he can become more than just a reliable option, but rather a game breaker other teams will have to game plan around. I am tied of mediocrity from the Bills, lets get some dominant SOB's out there that wont take sh*t from anyone.
  13. The bills always use the excuse "he is a high character guy who gives a lot of effort" for resigning players to high dollar deals, cough cough kelsay cough cough. What about Greer? Never heard him say a negative thing, he is incredibly underated, and I think our best DB. This is not a bandwagon statement either, as last year after we got smoked by the Pats I said he covered Moss EXTREMLEY well on another board. (Dont throw your meaningless stats in my face, I know he allowed 2 TD catches, but look at his coverage on the best WR in the game at that point, and if he had one more inch on his wingspan he would ave made two incredible knockdowns.) It is about time the Bills reward some guys who PRODUCE on the field.... its not like we dont have the cap room to do so.
  14. I think stroud would look better than Jenkins if he was able to go against our o line all day. Williams and Johnson have been good, our DE's have been terrible. The only pressure we got yesterday came from our 3 DT's. I cannot remeber the last time a DE got enough pressure to even force a bad thrown... - John Adams is spot on, as terrible as the D is, we did not let in many points. Our O alone gave them 10, and credit the D for forceing it to 10 and not 14 with the fieldgoal.
  15. You know what? I think I could generate as much pressure as our DE's... that is I could apply none. I wish I made millions doing, well, nothing.
  16. Hardy clearly got behind the corner, and at his hieght, was WIDE open. The ball was underthrown about 5+ yards. He made the right read and was unaccurate with the throw. I belive he was also pressured on the play by jenkins. Those two aren't on the same page it seems...more reps in practice.
  17. Dudes its a seperated shoulder. I have had two, one of each shoulder. Unless its a bad class 3 seperation he will play this week. Players play with them all the time. These is a brace that the players wear that wraps the shoulder up and tighter to the body. All it really does is affect some range of motion, like you cant touch the top of your head. I notice players wearing them all the time, right aroudn the bicep/tricep. Its something you wouldn't really notice unless youve seen them before. But all it should affect is Whitners ability to jump up for the picks which he is so famous for....
  18. Offseason -- Sign Terrel Suggs, He can play with his hand in the dirt and get us the 10 sacks a year and constant pressure this team needs. Dont think he is a LB, he plays more DE for Baltimore these days. He could also play some LB as well if needed. Just what the doctor ordered Draft- alex mack, but if not him, then whoever is the best center
  19. The bills borrowed the "wildcat" who borrowed it from Miami, who borrowed it from oakland, who borrowed it from arkansas who called it the "wildhog", who got it from the 1940's when they called it the single wing. I liked it cause it got a first down. Trent's throw to Hardy was a perfect decision and a terrible ball. You can't underthrow it that severley when your recieve gets behind the corner. The two biggest problems, besides turnovers, was the play of our lines.. Our interior O line and pass rush will kill us. "Football is nothing but blocking and tackleing, and sometimes people forget that." -- Vince Lombardi Best two teams in foortball?? Titans and Giants Best two O lines and D lines if Football?? Titans and Giants enough said.
  20. Everyone is hard on Hardy. Of the three He has proven the most to me. He has shown flashes of what he can do but hasnt come around yet. Wr is tough and he was not in an NFL type system in college. He would have easily scored a TD this week if the ball was thrown 5-8 yards further like it should have been. He got behing the corner and would have easily connected. Secondly on 4-5 plays that I saw, the jets were doubling Hardy on his routes, presumably because of his size/presence. This allowed Parrish and Evans to get open easily on a few routes. I think he will come around just fine. remeber Plaxico had a big "bust" of a rookie season. Mckelvin scares me. He was the 11th player taken, so I expect more. But last game when Whitner was out for a few plays, the coaches but Corner over Mckelvin. Whitner had been moving up to play the nickle corner up untill that point in the game as Youboty was out with injury. This makes me believe that our depth chart at corner is Mcgee, Greer, Youboty, Whitner (with Scott and Simpson at saftey), Corner, Mckelvin. Is Mcelvin that bad? He was not in good position on the handful of TD's he has allowed this year, and has looked even worse is his pursiut angles and tackling. Hardy will be fine, Mckelvin I dont have much hope.
  21. I liked the call of a pass because we should know that our line just cant make a hole. With Lynch out I would never run on short yardage in the red zone when the field is shortend for the D. Trent is noramally pretty good at realizing when to run, but he missed it completly on that play. I cant believe that the Bills line is as bad as it is with Whittle and Preston in there. Butler is out but what about chambers at gaurd..hell he was better at tackle than peters/walker.
  22. I dont understand the use of challenges. On TV I was 100% sure we got that first down on 2nd and 4th down...no challenge. Then liek 3 players later Dick throws the red flag on an obvious 100% catch??? What gives?
  23. Dude. Clearly sarcastic. He is pointing the Bills tendency to finally get a good player and then let them walk.
  24. Because the Pirates will have killed them before they arrived....
  25. Im just glad Miami didnt draft Chris Long after seeing him school peters so effortlessly earlier this season. That would be hard to stomach twice a year.
