  1. We need LBs. why not? Has he ever played in a 3-4?
  2. IIRC Ellis was thought of more of a 3-4 backer than DE at draft time. This was an expected move, its not like he was going to stay at DE. I dont expect much from him or Maybin though.
  3. I would trade Maybin for McNabb wouldnt you? This is the Bills guys, we draft Whitners and McCargos and Maybins with our top picks, not Ed Reeds, Ngatas and Orakpos. Our first round picks are basically UDFA. We have the same personnel in the FO as last year, just without guy. Nix was in the draft room when they signed off on Maybin. What makes you think it will be any different this year? a top ten pick is worth squat in the hands of the Bills FO. We might as well get a sure fire PB QB out of it.
  4. SS: Wilson>Scott>Whitner FS: Byrd>Whitner I would hate to lose that valuable backup!
  5. We need as much help as we can get.
  6. Losman had the physical tools, but no one ever fixed his footwork, which resulted in his terrible accuracy issues. He also never learned the position, ie making reads, and thus sucked. Edwards came in and was teh anti Losman, ie he was very accurate and made reads quickly and was ver decisive with the ball. He ended up getting worse and worse and at the end of last season was a checkdown monster and sack taker. Seeing two QBs turn into basically the same player when at the beginning of their careers they couldnt have been more different makes me think it was all the terrible coaching. Who knows how good either could have been with adequate support/teaching. Football is 85% coaching.
  7. I wouldnt consider hiring Gailey and the ex GT staff "sound football moves" They were fired from GT - an average college program and GT instantly improved upon their departure. After circling the proverbial drain for a few years they were picked up by the Bills. This includes Gailey, his new OC (who was the running game C for a team that was near the bottom in rushing every year of his tenure. While I like Nix and all, hhis hire cannot be considered a sound move either when you dont interview anyone else. Who knows how many more qualified people there are out there. People hated these moves(not so much the Nix move though) and have now just warmed to them. The hiring of Gailey was not a good hire.
  8. How about our 2nd and third to break back into round one for Iupati
  9. A big +1 to you kind sir. Rome was not built in a day, and with our team as week as it is needs to focus and make ourselfs better. Drafting 2 OL early will put us in a great position moving forward. Next years QB class could be monumental with Luck/Locker/Mallet/some underclassmen who alwasy comes from nowhere. This year we need to find our needs, and match them to this drafts deepest positions. That is OL, DL, LB. QB is not one of the strengths of this class as much as we may want/need it to be. I feel like we are wasting our breath bc the two top guys will be gone anyways.
  10. I dont see half of the picks before us being tackles. Partially because its highly unlikely, and mainly because no one outside of Todd McShay thinkgs Trent Williams is an NFL LT. Other than that if Oher can fall into the 20s, there is no reason to think Davis wont too. I am hoping most teams see Bulaga as not a good enough pass blocker to be their franchise LT and pass on him... so the Bills can land him.
  11. That would be a OL to be proud of. Outside of the injured Butler/Wood questions, the only thing that worries me is Incognito. I liked his play and his nastyness (is that a word?) but I dont know if I would lean on him for 16 games. He takes penalties which kill drives and when you get cut from the worst team in the league I get worried. If this team could also add Iupati or Pouncy as potential G/C/T options then the OL would truely be solidified. OL first, everything else will follow. I bet they take Okung. Shanahan likes mobile QBs and I think he will do wonders with Campbell who is very talented.
  12. They guy is not good. He simply is not an NFL caliber QB. He made a living throwing screen passes and running the zone read option. Trade back into the 2nd round? I doubt he even gets drafted.
  13. Sadly mine is getting out of the stadium lots without sitting through 2 hours of traffic after the Miami game.
  14. They way we play rush D, and the way GT South can run it, they would have a shot at winning the rivalry!
  15. GT plays in the ACC, and I believe SCC is a typo for SEC.
  16. Thanks. thats the answer I was looking for. Good news for us.
  17. Good ole Webster Ny, known for their hot dumb chicks and guidos
  18. Id rather have Campbell than Fitz/Edwards/rookie draft pick.
  19. I like this site only because it lists them by position. http://footballsfuture.com/freeagents.html
  20. IIRC - from the interview I watched of Stallworth - It was around 7am when the man was hit, the man was just getting out of work working the night shift, and Stallworth was headed to early morning workouts AFTER sleeping it off. Also I dont think he was over the legal limmit for alcohol, but rather weed. If you know anything about the legal limit for weed, its incredibly low. If you are a regular user, then you could test positive up to two weeks after the last time you smoked. Yes two weeks. The more you hear about Stallworths incident the less and less he seems like a criminal. I would welcome him on the Bills.
  21. As far as LBers go, Ill take Brandon Graham thank you very much. (he is listed as a de). If its our second round pick Id take him over Cody thats for sure. Eric Norwood could be a late round steal too. Norwood is the type of player you could trade Schobel for, ie Schobel for 4th rounder, use that pick on Norwood. If I am the Bills I bet the farm on Wilfork and put the NT problem to bed.
  22. I have no idea but the notion of a 60 yard throw being a strong NFL arm is insane. Thats basically like say Chad Pennington has
  23. I have seen Qbs throw it 60 yards in the air on a frozen rope many times. McNabb does it very often. Tebow can do it on a rope as well. 60 yards is only considered good arm strength MAC, and even then its pushing it.
  24. My only question is who is going to play NT on the other 65% of the snaps?
