  1. Would you trade/release Lee Evans in exchange for Vincent Jackson
  2. I would really like to see Luck in Buffalo this year, especially after seeing his performance against Jake Locker on Saturday. But I'm 99% sure that Heyward won't be avaliable in the 2nd round of the draft. I project him going top 10 to the mid 1st round. Why not go for that OT Matt Reynolds?
  3. ok, everyone seems to be crappin on the bills defense now, saying that the switch to the 3-4 was the worst move nix and gailey have made. take a look around this league, maybe 50% of the teams in the NFL are now using the 3-4 and it was only a matter of time before Buffalo switched to it. At least we have a defensive coordinator who knows how to run it in George Edwards. The reason it isnt working out so well is because most of the players we already have dont fit in the 3-4 defense. You have CHRIS KELSAY dropping in coverage, its awful. marcus stroud, a former pro bowl DT is getting pushed around on the outside at DE, Aaron Maybin SUCKS, and Kyle Williams, bless his heart, is somehow still making plays at NT, despite being around 50 lbs lighter than the average NT. and nobody, let me repeat, NO-BO-DY, has benefited more fromt the switch to the 3-4 than Donte Whitner. right now he's leading the team in tackles, just goes to show how pathetic the front 7 is. Whitner has stepped up his game and has shown flashes of why Levy selected him 8th overall. Here's my opinion, the 3-4 defense will work in a year or two when we find guys who know the system and eliminate the guys who just cant be in it. For example, looking at what we have now, i say the front 3 should be LDE: Dwan Edwards (solid end in Baltimore), NT: Torrell Troup (whyd they draft him if he wasnt gonna play), and RDE: Kyle Williams (still making plays, but I feel with his size, he'd make more at the end position). LOLB: Aaron Maybin (lets give him one last hurrah before we wish him well in his future endeavors), MLBs: Paul Posluszny (obviously the Bills best linebacker) and Andra Davis (former Pro Bowl LB in Cleveland), ROLB: Akin Ayodele (had great seasons with the Jaguars at OLB). obviously the secondary speaks for itself That, IMO, is a defense that can at the very least, give offenses alittle more trouble than what we've been giving them in the last 5 weeks. Then in the offseason, we try to upgrade at each position as much as possible and become competitive again. and for the last time, the 3-4 switch was the BEST THING to ever happen to Donte Whitner
  4. im not sure if your paying attention or anything, but donte whitner is without a DOUBT our best tackling defensive back on the team. he's leading all players in tackles right now and is proving why we took him 8th overall in 2006. i think we should keep whitner, but yes, kick mccargo to the curb
  5. honestly, if stevie j can develop into a solid #2 receiver, i wouldnt be upset if mallett goes to the bills. mallett reminds me of big ben ruthlessraper without the rape or the small school, and i feel if he plays with the same confidence as even ryan fitzpatrick, he can help with the development of the offensive line (of course we'd have to get rid of green). mallett with evans, stevie j, roscoe, shawn nelson, and cj spiller??? that could be the offense to bring the bills out of the basement and btw, i find it very funny that three months ago everyone was saying that the bills were going to have the top pick in the draft and have our pick at locker, luck, or mallett, now apparently if he does declare, he wont be avaliable...how the tide has turned...
  6. looks like scott learned a little bit about trash talking from his coach...the jets are all deusche bags
  7. i like it. orton threw for over 400 yards against the colts last week, and thats with brandon lloyd and that thomas guy as his receivers. imagine what he could do to the revis-less jets secondary, while throwing to lee evans. i will be as bold to even say that orton could make stevie j and roscoe look good too. i want the bills to draft a franchise qb in the draft next year, but orton would definitely be an upgrade over fitz and brohm, depite the magnificent game played by fitz against the pats
  8. fitz will come to play drity sanchez throws 5 picks byrd is still the word
  9. if bell develops and stays away from the penalties, he could be the next jason peters. he seems humble enough to not want as much money as peters did too. wood and levetrie are only in their second year in the nfl and have enormous potential to be above average guards. hangartner is a back up playing on a bad team, hes just another melvin fowler (remember him?) maybe if we get another good guard, we could shift wood over to center. right tackle is self explanatory, hopfully wang gets in the game soon.
  10. no doubt kelsay earned all 6 mil getting burned by finley in green bay
  11. he could break both of his arms and still play better than green or bell
  12. pshh, our drafts suck. whatever happened to us getting aj hawk? i still think he'd be a good addition to the team, so either lynch and a pick for hawk and a pick, or no dice
  13. Bills cut WRs James Hardy, Naaman Roosevelt, Chad Jackson. Seahawks cut WR TJ Houshmanzadeh. Housh may be in his early 30s (which is old for a WR) but he produced well in his 1 season with Seattle, having more receiving yards than our top two leading receivers (TO and Evans). I think this would be a smart move for the Bills to make to have Housh team up with Evans as the starters, have Housh be a role model for Stevie J until Housh retires and Stevie picks up the starting position. Stevie plays in the 3rd WR position and keep Roscoe to play the slot
  14. ill admit it, i was really pissed off when the bills to jairus byrd with their 2nd round draft choice last year. i wanted everette brown, the defensive end out of florida state or william beaty, the offensive tackle from uconn. now that the season is over, im glad that buffalo chose byrd over brown for obvious reasons. i almost broke my window when the bills selected aaron maybin (undersized linebacker) over brian orakpo (top rated defensive end and second best linebacker in the draft)
  15. ANDRA DAVIS HAS A VISIT A OBD ON MON AND TUES!!!!!! http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2010/03/15/r...davis-to-visit/ davis was with denver last year and performed very well in denver's new 3-4 system under coach mcdaniels he was the centerpiece of a somewhat good browns defense for 7 years hows this for an lb corps: olb-aaron maybin and kavika mitchell, mlb-paul posluzny and andra davis thats a good mix of both young and veteran talent and with the additon of a nose tackle, along with stroud and hopefully schobel converting to defensive end, our front 7 could be without a doubt, better than it was during the DJ era. maybe not as good as the gregg williams era, but still not bad. THOUGHTS?
