I dont see why so many fans think Stroud and WIlliams cannot play in this system. Their roles are not going to be much different than what they were last year. IMO Williams is going to be a stud if he get a real NT for him to play next to, just a hunch I have had for years.

We need 5 1st round picks, 8 2nd rounders, and another 5 third rounders. That might be enough picks to rebuild this team but 2013

If we wanted Foote we are a day and a half late. The only way to sign guys with options are to fly at them the minute that clock hits 12. Why would Foote come here when he could go many other places.

finding 4 starters in the draft would be best case scenario by a long shot. I mean yea it will prob happen because we simply dont have anyone else, but I doubt we are pleased with the rusults....

What I am worried about is finding 53 NFL caliber people to fill out the roster. I mean really, we have half of a team right now, and only 7 0r 8 draft picks. If we dont sign any FAs, who the heck is going to be on the team?

Well Ill agree with that minus maybe Schobel. Either way the point is people talk about over paying for FAs, when he have the most overpayed guys in the league already on the roster. Moving those guys and replacing them with some real players is a wash when the $$$ is factored in.

Now I am no cap expert, and I realise the dollar value of a concract is fluid in that there are incentives to be reached, but when they report the contracts, they report them to the max correct? IE if they maxed out the incentives thats how much they would make, with the guaranteed money being the min they will recieve. I never hated Whitner, I do wonder why I bought his jersey though. I hate the scouts who made that pick. However I hated them long before Whitner, and I have continued to hate them with good reason. He will always be associated with the pick though...

That is exactly why we need to be active in FAs. Yes teams are built through the draft, but when you whiff like that, you are left with half an NFL team like the one the Bills have right now. It would take 5 years of great drafts to fill our holes. We need LBs, there are LBs to be had. We need OL, there are OL to be had. Go out and make a play for some of these guys already./
