  1. This gets me thinking about the Watkins trade again. I absolutely despised it at the time. Still hate it. But one interesting fact that gets overlooked about it is that our total wins line in Vegas didn't move at all after the trade. So the people who do this professionally think either: 1. Taylor isn't that good 2. Watkins isn't that good 3. The wide receiver position isn't that important I think they're both really good so it's probably #3.
  2. Hughes has my vote, but Hyde is right there. What a surprise he has been.
  3. This is honestly the weirdest Bills season I can remember. And that's saying something.
  4. Not to make excuses for him, but he was up against the best center in the NFL.
  5. He flies! Under the radar, that is. Solid player who I believe will have a really good game today with Lawson out.
  6. Get Tyrod a helmet microphone that keeps working after the snap along with a coaching staff that does all sorts of other shady stuff and you'll have that. In any case, I hope the Bills do win 8 of 9 so Tyrod becomes an adequate qb for you.
  7. Lol.. What a ridiculous post. I wonder what your criteria for him to become a tier one qb would be. Also, who do you consider tier one?
  8. How about that guy Dan Marino from Ace Ventura? Not sure if they won but he was good enough to get kidnapped. He must have been alright. Can't recall who played him. Seemed like a douche
  9. Haha...that majbob guy? He's been MIA all week
  10. Not really. You just need to be able to score. Who cares how they do it?
  11. Not true. I may be in the extreme minority, but I feel he is the long-term answer here. And I believe he'll prove it over the next 13 games. If and when he does, I hope the Bills FO is smart enough to look beyond the fact he isn't a few inches taller, slower and white. Which seems like a sticking point among many on this board. He's actually really good when you look at what he's done in context, and the fact that this is just his third year starting. Not sure why his detractors point to four years of sitting on the bench in Baltimore. He started as many games there as did everyone on this board. And a hearty LOL at the guy comparing him to Ryan f'n Fitzpatrick.
  12. So you need to throw for 300 yards to win a game around 10 times a season? By that rationale, we'd max out at 6 wins a year. I think you need to check your math. You forgot to carry the one somewhere.
  13. Look at Carr last week. Less than 120 yards and two interceptions. Not hard to play this week to week game. Taylor is good. I'd even say really good. Guess many are just too used to dog turb QB play here to recognize anything different.
  14. Great work, as usual. Man, this Taylor guy sucks, eh?
  15. Just not true. They're actually a pretty good road team.
  16. Nope. He's had a rough time in coverage, taken some bad angles on runs and missed a clear interception on Sunday. To be fair, I don't zero in on him for every play, and I don't think he's been awful, but he really has been the weak link so far on a surprisingly solid defense.
  17. Really? I think he's been the one weak link on the defense. That whiff on the Newton scramble is probably the worst play I've seen a LB make in a little while.
  18. To each his own, but I think watching a great defense that plays aggressive, hits hard and creates turnovers is more exciting than a prolific offense. Everyone has their own taste though. I bet you'd love the CFL.
  19. Fine, I'll say it. He is a top 10 qb. Look at what he's had to work with at receiver last year and this year. Look at how crappy the pass protection is with this o-line. They took away any deep threats, thereby negating one of his best weapons. He's had to work with a different coordinator every year he's been here. And this year, we've got another run, run, pass specialist. His scrambling ability is the best in the league. He rarely makes big mistakes in terms of turnovers. All of these things factored in, I'd place him as a top 10 qb. Fans who trash him just don't watch other QBs with the same critical eye.
  20. To those who opposes the OP's view, what are your thoughts on Tyrod? Not as a wall of fame candidate, but just whether you think he is good, with the potential to be great or whether you think he sucks with the potential to be average at best. Kind of a tbd litmus test.
  21. Kyle Orton looks like he could have been the ugly older brother of Pacho from Narcos
  22. If home field counts as 3 points, then on an even field, the oddsmakers think we'd have a better shot against the Falcons than the Broncos. Interesting.
  23. I wonder if the coaches will rub each other's head for good luck before kickoff.
