Should can be a very negative word because it invites comparison. Sounds like Josh isn’t progressing as fast Or the way you want. To say he isn’t progressing or showing growth is ignoring facts and ignoring what you are seeing with your eyes. Agreed. I was using this thread to point out the progress he is making. I don’t know if Josh can be MVP next year. I would settle for similar percentage improvements in the areas of ; completion percentage, TD/INT ratio, yards, and fumbles. I believe if Josh accomplishes those things the Bills will be back in the playoffs and competing for the AFC. That is honestly what is important for me, and I bet Josh.

What is the difference in value between a starting guard verses a right tackle? i would think the Bills give Ford another year at right tackle. The only exception I could see is if they can’t sign anyone to play left guard and they have a tackle prospect fall to them in the mid rounds of the draft that they had a higher value on. I for one would like the staff to pick a spot for Ford and allow him to focus on it, this could only facilitate his progress. I think Ford has shown he can play guard or tackle if needed during a game, flexibility value.

In time maybe that occurs too?

Talk about the crown jewel for the Pegulas. They have poured so much into the city already. Getting a new stadium built, actually in the city, would solidify them for generations as the people who rebuilt Buffalo. Not to mention it makes so much sense for a ton of reasons.

Not only negative people want to believe Josh isn’t the answer, it’s also the people who were vocal about him being the wrong pick. These people have maintained their position and instead of cheering for the QB of their team they would rather not be wrong and thus always play devil’s advocate. It’s fine to be a level headed fan. As you pointed out, even gamblers are realizing the progress and greater potential for Allen. To not see it is an axe to grind.

If it were anyone else besides the Bengals, I would say there is no way they trade the pick. Mike Brown has had some real head scratchers over the years.

Interesting rumor that the new CBA is looking to possibly discount the QB’s cap hit to say 70% of its actual value. my first thought is this would be great for the Bills with hopefully the potential franchise QB contract coming for Josh in a year or two. The complicated part is how it impacts QB’s already under contract? That not withstanding, I think the Bills are sitting pretty. I agree this is the FA to sign one or two superstars. It seems to me it can take more than one season for talent to gel. Signing the big ticket FA’s now gives them a couple years before some tougher decisions will need to be made.

Thanks for posting. Newest piece of information from that for me was Beane explaining how he and McDermott work together. I like Brandon’s approach and sounds very positive and non biased when it comes to player evaluation. It also sounds like Brandon values culture, but won’t let Sean get complacent with less talented players who know the system.

No, not really. Saying Wallace was inconsistent and you saying the Bills had a top 5 ranking doesn’t mean everything is ok at DB. The Bills have a serious need for another cornerback. I don’t think it’s a first round need, but it is high up there.
