  1. Great points @BillsFan619. There are roughly 1,500 men in the world capable of playing this sport any given year. When I started thinking about it that way, it really hit home why “any given Sunday” anyone can win/lose.
  2. If we have to worry about OBJ it means we are preparing for a SB…I’m ok with this.
  3. Wrong terminology by me. I apologize, after watching it on a larger screen I see the breakdown in large part due to Ike’s failure to engage long enough to allow Dion to get in position to take the block over. I am trying to remember, can Dion cut block there? It appears they are within a yard of the line of scrimmage, so this was a legal block at one point. If so, this could have been an option for Dion on the DT. Another option is to take the DT further down the line, using the DT’s momentum. Dion got caught trying to do what was diagramed while his guard did not. What this points out for me ultimately is just how critical it is to have a consistent line. You can get by with average talent on the line if they are all working together.
  4. This is exactly right as for why to run 11. What is concerning is the lack of points scored from it in the Jax game. Not sure bringing in an extra TE will do much at this point unless you can run multiple plays from it. This oline needs the benefit of the d not knowing what’s coming. It seems if the D can anticipate a run by the Bills, it gets stoped for little to no gain. This oline isn’t physical enough to maul and they appear to be struggling with assignments in zone.
  5. Stop me if you have heard this one before, Dawkins allows his man to get across his face and make the play. Colts LT held his block and forced his man outside. Come one Dion, we need you brother.
  6. Seems like every week those jokesters through something absurd out there.
  7. Hey, I want that for a ton of reasons. I hope you are right.
  8. Maybe Singletary isn’t great either.
  9. I never once said anything about the FO or Coaches being atrocious . You are assuming that and putting words in my mouth. I thought this is a board for fans to discuss ideas. It’s fun to discuss scenarios. Sometimes they end up happening.
  10. You might be right for running style. The oline was atrocious on Sunday. Need to stop moving people all over the place. Williams should stay at guard and give Tommy a shot at RT if Brown can’t go. Ford is a huge liability and he is going to get someone hurt.
  11. Well, let’s put it this way the same people who brought Beane in drafted Singletary.
  12. So why did Beane bring him in?
  13. While I agree Singletary is the more complete back than Breda, where I think Breda can provide a dimension Singletary doesn’t have is in the passing game. What Breda does have is speed, getting him the ball on some of those over the middle check downs might help get teams out of the D they are running.
  14. I’m not saying the Jets have a good D or predicting a loss for the Bills, but you described the Jax D when you wrote “D-line is solid but the secondary is garbage”. I think there were a ton of factors that went into the Bills poor offensive performance on Sunday In Jacksonville. 2 of the 3 losses this year have been due to a poor performance by the O. Both those losses came against teams with solid d lines, Pitt had a great dline that game. We have heard for 3 years that Daboll is good at scheming to his opponent, time to see it this weekend against the Jets. I have a feeling they will try to do what Miami and Jax did. There are reasons to be optimistic, I think if Breda is active and they use him right, he can help break up the cover 2 deep shell Jax and Miami used. Breda catching those same passes Singletary did, might turn into a couple of big YAC gains. Knox will also help in the dump off game. Sweeney isn’t in the same ball park as Knox.
  15. I think you are seeing some band wagon fans who jumped on this year being loud outspoken and uninformed critics. I saw it at the game on Sunday. I barely go on the game day thread because I make myself anxious enough. Ha End of day we are a great fan base. Sure we get a little caught up in the moment. We are a family. We will be critical of our own, but we also will be there to pick them up when down. We don’t tolerate others tearing down our team. Never forget we are the fan base who cheered on our field goal kicker at the parade after the Super Bowl loss. Perspective happens for most fans at some point and then they can relax more during the game/season and enjoy the ride.
  16. What if Baltimore and Vegas also win out?
  17. Seriously. It’s probably like a 60/40 split holding/punting.
  18. This is actually a decent Jags D line. They aren’t very good in the secondary. They play good teams tough. Look what happened last week with Miami, one score game in the fourth quarter.
  19. Where do you see Brown listed as out? McD said Brown, is expected to practice today. Poyer and Beasley will also practice today. Feliciano and Knox have been ruled out.
  20. Was just about to say him. Sounds like Jax struggles with TE. I think Daboll learned his lesson to stick with 11 personnel given the night and day results of the Miami game. Sweeney is no where close to as athletic as Knox but with Diggs, Beasley, and Sanders, he doesn’t have to be. Couple that with this might be his last start before Knox comes back from injury and I expect T Sweeney to get 6-8 targets and with a TD mixed in. Everyone loves Sweeney on the team.
  21. I am coming with a slew of family from Atlanta and Buffalo. We are staying near the stadium in a couple different hotels.
  22. Williams and Brown are by far the best RG and RT combo on the team.
  23. Maybe that’s why the Chiefs traded him?
  24. Why isn’t Jones playing there now if that’s where he should be playing? Is Ingram even an every down DE at this point? He seems like a Mario Addison type player. Does he make them better? How much? I’m with you, let’s see what their per game sack numbers look like before and after Ingram. That team last night looked like a 4-4 team. One decent DE doesn’t all of a sudden fix their problems.
  25. I don’t buy it. Sorry. That D is not good in the secondary or LB. Ingram isn’t that big of a difference maker. If he was, he wouldn’t be on his third team in less than a year. Fact.
