10/18/21 Gameday Bills @ Titans Pregame thread
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
This should be an absolute slaughter. The Tuesday Titans will look back on this game as the reality check to the fact they aren’t very good. Well, maybe losing to the Jets already did that. -
Rank The Buffalo Bills Starting QB’s Since Jim Kelly

Yep! I mentioned this last week in the Russell Wilson to miss starts and Geno Smith is his backup. When Todd came in and started for Washington after 10 years of never hearing a peep out of him, I almost gave myself whiplash. My head spun around to the TV and I was like no way that’s the same Todd Collins. Good for him. -

Poor Todd Collins, if he had just been a few years younger maybe he would have been drafted by the Pats in the 6th round and gone on to win Super Bowls. -
This has nothing to do with him getting Covid and I feel for the guy and wish him a speedy recovery and hopefully it’s a mild case. I do think he will ultimately screw it up this year and the team will go in a tail spin. I don’t trust him as a HC.

I want and expect a beat down on the Tuesday Titans. They benefited from a mentally and emotionally taxed Bills team dealing with two straight weeks of Covid related issues. Now give The Tuesday Titans credit for turning their own poor judgement into an “us vs the world” situation. This year it’s going to be fun to watch Vrabel look clueless on the sideline.
-
I think the issue with McKenzie is injury concerns due to amount of touches. I could be 100% wrong and probably am, but every time Isaiah has received more touches he gets injured. I do think Stevenson’s speed is enticing to the staff, especially since Josh is hitting the long throws more proficiently this season.

Anyone seen @Zerovoltz? Now I’m kinda getting worried, he usually lives on this board.
-
McD and Frazier are great at making a team one dimensional. I don’t respect Tennessee at all for the win last year. Covid was more of a factor than Tenn. I think we see another beat down this week. Our coaches and players are proving they don’t forget losses.

This explains why the game plan didn’t work. I think the Bills wanted to take away a big game by Henry. Last year the Bills were unable to get pressure or cover like they will this week with starters in. I want to see Tannehill struggle like he did every year while he was the Miami QB. Bills had a history before last years game of making Tannehill very ineffective.
-
Ryan Tannehill is not a good quarterback. By the end of this year the Titans will realize they signed another Marcus Mariota. I really expect the Bills to avenge last years loss to the Tuesday Titans in a big way.
-
I can’t imagine why he reminds you of Percy Harvin. Ha Exceptional physical skills as a wide receiver from the University of Florida, with what appears to be a lacking at times of some emotional expressive skills. Hope he gets that worked out and has a long prosperous career.

Was just about to mention Brown as well. If he had played and played well, he would have been a top 50 pick. Brown is a freak when you look at his Relative Athletic Score. Only player to score a 10.00. Brown playing at a non power 5 school and only a couple years at OT( played TE in 8 man football in Iowa), coupled with being forced not to play 2020 allowed him to slide to the Bills.

Yes! I had this thought today while listening to my Bills podcasts on a walk. I don’t buy the Cards though. More like I don’t buy their HC. Something thinks they come back to Earth and one loss turns into several more.
-
Exactly, they didn’t have a true number one corner, Gilmore had just left. You could make that argument each of the last two or so off seasons about needing a CB2 to be a priority in the draft. FWIW, I would like the other CB spot to be nailed down a little more than a year to year player. I think McD will roll will Wildoogse or Jackson if Levi wants more money than Beane has allowed for.
-
Going back to his time in Carolina, backfields he has coached have had one “elite” CB, a first round pick, and then on the other side was someone like Levi.
-
If you look at McD’s history this doesn’t seem like the approach the Bills will take.
-
As much as I’d like to do this, I think we are two more draft from seeing a high pick at DB.
-
As Rich Eisen said “the Bills settle all the family business next Monday in Tenn” I want to see that same look on Vrabel’s face that we saw on Kelce’s face last night in the fourth quarter.
-
I think the Bills had 54 offensive snaps total. I really don’t think the game plan was a product of anything other than doing what the coaches thought would work. If anyone is reading to much into things it’s us the fans, and the media, but hopefully not Bease.

Do we have our answer for how important a true active/run stopping 1 tech is for this D? -

Maybe Andy should spend more time with his DC on scheme than making up silly goal line plays that consist of pointless pre-snap shenanigans . -
Now that the KC game is over, which game scares you?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Haplo848's topic in The Stadium Wall
Then say that in your title… “what game besides the Bucs scares you?”
