This was my thought. It seems at times the team loses focus or almost goes to sleep, especially on offense. I know they have great stats and are puttin gup a lot of points-save the Cincy game. But the entire 3rd qtr against the Eagles the whole O looked sluggish, even the play calling. It is easier to turn the momentum with 70,000 fans cheering you on. They need to show they can do it on the road by themselves. To take that next step into being a solid, good team, need to win some tough road games.

This weekend is a big game for many reasons, but so far the Bills are 1 and 1 on the young year in road games. K.C. is one of the weaker teams in the league this year. Bottom third so far. Cincy is an average to good team. i see them as a middle of the pack team, with potential. To get to 10-12 wins, buffalo is going to have to show they can beat good teams on the road.

Got to say, pitt, texans, and jets dont really scare me much. Not syaing wouldnt be a tough game at all, but Bills have shown they can beat better caliber teams. Balt is the best team i think, or more complete team, good O and good D. The other teams all have weakness' and it will be up to Chan and his staff to exploit them.

Not sure how avaiable he is, but Bernard Berrian was a healthy scratch last game for Minny. Seems he and Frazier are butting heads.

I almost thought the end of the world was here, Crayonz posting a real thread?!? Then i realized, like the Bills, he has stepped up his game.

This team reminds me of the Chicago bears 13-3 year for some reason. When all the bounces and plays in the final seconds went there way. Could be 13-3 who knows really? For me, just focus on NY Giants. If this team takes it one week at a time and plays four solid quarters of Football, then they can win on any given Sunday.

Amen. I have said it before on here, Ralph Wilson noticed that the SEC has won or played for the National Chamnpionship the last 6 years. He went out and got a guy that knows the south inside and out. He also got a coach with a lot of Southern ties. Sorry to my northern friends, but football is king in the South. Give me guys from the SEC all day long, and i cant fault you. They see the best competition week in and week out. If you can be a stud in the SEC you will more likely be a solid player in the pro's then a guy from Big Ten or Pac Ten

Steelers dont scare me nearly as much as Pats or Ravens. For some reason the Steelers this year look average. Maybe as the season will go on the guys will get more focused. Butfor some reason right now they don't seem like the team from just a season ago. Not saying the Bills shouldn't be hungry or over confident against any team

it is a very old saying around football. i fyou rsafeties are leading the team in tackling it usually isn't a good sign. Not saying it means that buffalo's d is bad or that the safeties aren't making those tackles near the LOS or in the O backfield. Think about it, safeties are the deepest guys usually on the field ie why they are called safeties...last guy you have to beat to score. I am totally not argueing whether the Bills safeties are making touchdown saving tackles, just pointing out that it is a very old saying. Ask any coach or player the question, "what does it say about a defense if the safety is leading the team in tackles?" and see what they respond with.

Fitz Stevie Jackson Levitre All these guys have been getting a lot of pub from national media guys. Have heard Levitre being called out on more then a few occasions for good blocking during broadcasts. The D has no one on it besides maybe Barnett that anyone really knows. Byrd went 2 years ago but that took a sh*t load of interceptions.

I was watching NFL network last night and Steve Mariucci brought up a point. The lock out has hurt defenses more then offenses. I think you could arguee this especially for the Bills. A lot of new faces and the leader of the D is new-Barnett. Hopefully we will see this unit gel as the season goes on.

No question Barnett is a huge upgrade over Poz. Wilson is playing great ball as well. I think Vick had nightmares about #37 last night. And for the Merriman haters, he isn't making crazy money this year. He is being held every single play and never getting called. He is doing a decent job, no where near his 'lights Out' days. and He doesnt even play the same position as Poz

I watched those same games. Big UGA fan. But there is a reason guys like Eric Zeir, or Mike Bobo, or etc... didn't go on to become good solid pro's. It is a different game. Tebow is a great guy, have nothing but respect for him, but he is a gimmick. If Denver was smart they would work him in some. Use his legs more so then his arm. Goal line and short yardage situations...like Brad Smith. Exactly!! Goes to what i said up top.

What about Bernard Berrian? Tried looking up what he is getting a year. He signed a 6 year 42mil deal in 08. Seems like he is having trouble with Frazier in Minny. That was the tip to me that they weren't going to run a play. I have seen this done a few times, Think Chan has done it while HC at Tech. If they had not jumped, you call a t.o. with one second left if you are going to go for it. Olineman sitting in their stance for 20 seconds isnt too good. Those big boys get tired quick. Just speaking from an old olinemans perspective.

This is not a playoff WINNINIG D. I thought this today after the game. Lucky as all hell, and i get luck is often the result of preperation and oportunity, but cant count on it forever. Best thing for us is the playoffs are 3 months away. Get better please D.

Spiller is still somewhat unknown. He is showing signs this year of progress. And Smith was not used enough against Cincy. he has gotten every short yardage first down he has been asked to- even jackson can't say that.

I agree with this. say what you will about Ray Ray, but the guy is like having a coach on the field. He brings everyone around him up a notch. I dont necessarily like all his hoopla, but the guy backs it up. He brings 100% on game day, and demands the same out of the other 10 guys on the field with him. The Bills may have a guy or two like that on the team now in Fitz and Johnson. maybe Marcell can develope into a dominate player/leader on D for us too

San Frans running back said the Eagles quit last week in the second half, and didn't want to play anymore. Gore made the coment on ESPN's show 'First Take', Thanks Frank, the Eagles have a crap load of talent, and looks like you can add they will be more motivated then ever. This is already a must win type of game for them. I like Buffalo's chances to beat Philly and understand that what someone says doesn't really matter, but why couldn't Gore just shut up? This is the week someone has to call out the Eagles!?

Last time Vick was in Buffalo was 2005. The year after they went to the NFC championship game and finished the season 8-8 for the Falcons. Falcons won this game 24-16. His stats were Passing- Att comp yards t.d int lng pass 15 27 167 2 1 21 Rushing- att yards t.d lng. 9 64 0 27 If the Bills can hold him to these types of numbers, you got to think they have a shot to win. Side note, this was also the game Spikes tore his achilles and was done i think? correct me if i am wrong

The NFL is the biggest and best pro sports league in the US for a reason, marketing. I might be a total cynic here but they realize the biggest area of growth for them is in woman viewers. Think about it. How many times does the 'woman throwing the man jersey in her boyfriends face' come on? And yes i agree that breast cancer is a great cause, so not offended by it or care really that the guys wear pink. I think it is genius for the NFL to take it up as much as they have. Win/Win really.
