  1. Fitz's agent is smarter then that. if they are 'close' in negotiations, has to be 4-5 year deal, no?
  2. Got to agree with WEO. Show me a full consecutive season of playing at his current level, then i say give him 12mil a year. I dont think any other teams would come steal him from you. Giving a guy a huge raise after 6 games into a season seems a little steep. Rather tell him, 'keep this up, and you will get paid'. Fitz and his agent know he puts up numbers for the rest of the seaosn like he has now, there will be a few teams willing to pay him $12mil a season. And the team with the first shot is Buffalo. He seems like a loyal guy, who would give Buffalo every opportuinity to show him the money first.
  3. We should have given them Harmon ... Maybe then we would have been in 5 straight Super Bowls ... Especially in light of the fact that Harmon owed some bookies some major bucks. Never will know if he really threw the game or not, but sure looked like it.
  4. Misleading? I know stats can be twisted to say anything, but Thurmans production almost got cut in half over night. Not sure if injuries were invloved, cant remember. But probably a reason his carries got cu tin half? Coaches are not stupid.
  5. I understand and agree with most of what you are saying. But i think the Bills have a golden opportunity to change the culture of the team, an opportunity they have earned by there play through 6 weeks. They need to seize the opportunity, not let it slip away. Win all your home games- very doable now. And win 2 road games. This should get you in the play offs
  6. My grandfather worked for the team in the 80's. i remember meeting Kent in 86 as a rookie. He was massive to me. But was very gracious to us kids. Later i went to Jim Kelly's first ever football camp. As an olineman myself Kent worked with us kids along with Jim Richter, two extremely nice guys. Very sad to see guys you looked up to and loved to watch play them game pass. Lots of good football men passing this month!
  7. Maybe the luckiest play ever in football. Give Eli credit fo rthe scramble and getting away from a couple tacklers, but he pretty much blindly threw the ball up. Great catch. But there is a reason that play has happened once in how many years playing Pro Football.- Lucky as sh*t. Oh and i hate Brady and actually like Eli. But even a broke clock is right twice a day.
  8. Only position i disagree with is RB. I pulled up some stats about month ago when everyone was talking about paying Jackson. Very very few RB play well into there 30's. Only a handfull have 1,000 yd+ seasons. And usually when they do decline it is a very quick drop off. Even Thurman dropped very quickly after 30. At 30y/o he rushed for 1033 at 31y/o he went for 643. and then down to 381 at 32y/o. And there are plenty of guys like this. Kickers, QBs, even offensive lineman can be very roductive into their mid 30's
  9. Really? I said GB made it to and won the SB with out many key players. Go back and look. So, sorry maybe you are the stupid one that likes to mire in the ghosts of seasons past. What if you and i are watching the emergence of good young players? This is their year to come onto the scene. Sorry bud, but if we want this team to become something for us to watch and enjoy for years, it starts this year. Like Chan says, he expects to win every game. And up till now, they have been right there with less then a minute left. They just need to learn how to do it on the road. You Guys say you are realists? I say you are pessimists.
  10. If this is true then take a page out of the Giants D playbook and stack a guy on either side of him? This worked and took Woods out of getting to the second level. I think the bills are very capable of beating both these teams twice. As well as the Skins and Broncos. The Titans at home should be another nail bitter. But the Bills can pull that one out.
  11. I think you are more of a pessimst or slow to change? Look at the GB Packers last year. How many starters did they end up losing by the time they played in and WON the SB. Now i am not asking for a SB victory-practicing a little realism- but a playoff birth isn't too much to ask. Not when you start 4-2 and already beaten a couple quality opponents at home- do this on the road, and they are in! Coaching and determination can overcome a lot deficencies. Remember this team 2 years ago. The talent and coaching wasn't anywhere near where it is, but they played with heart. And for the most part where in a lot of games. Now is the year to turn the corner. Its like a race where you look up and realize the other runners have given you a head start. What should you do? stop and wait for them to catch up? or run harder and try to win?
  12. That was before the season started. Winning is contagious, just like losing. If the Bills want to turn this franchise around, this is the year to do it. No excuses at this point...they have already beaten NE and Philly. The 2 teams the so called experts were picking as SB teams for this year. My point is they have shown they can beat good teams at home. They just need to go do it on the road and then they are 10-6 or 11-5 and in the playoffs. Find some more pieces in the off season and stay focused, maybe next year is the SB run!
  13. There were more then a few times yesterday the play calling reminded me of Dick jauron. The long feildgoal before halftime. Trying the same short yardage play over and over and it getting stuffed. Passing the ball when on the 25yd w 4 mins left, and not using more the clock. I said the Giants are a good team, but the entire team, including the coaches has to learn how to win on the road for this team to make a playoff run. That is my point. If the Bills go 8-8 or 9-7 and miss the playoffs it wont be a moral victory. It will be another set back. You can not come out 4-1 and then implode again and not make the playoffs. Therefore they wil need to learn to beat solid teams on the road, or we will be watching another promising start turn into a disappointing season.
  14. More upside on Dalton then Fitz, agree with that? Fitz is playing his best football after years in the league. And he has been a starter for multiple games at different times in his career. Not saying Fitz is a bad qb, but lets see him put that much touted Harvard Ed to use and learn from his mistakes from yesterday. At this point 7-9mil a year would seem very fair. Personally i would wait till en dof the season, may cost you a couple more mil, but lets see him put up these numbers for a solid continous season.
  15. Played two good pass rushing d lines. Knew his oline was beaten up and had to get the ball out quick?
  16. Looks like Levitre plays at LT against Washington. Urbik and Reinhardt at Gaurds. Levitre can handle it. And i like that Chan gets an extra week to scheme for the game knowing what he has. many qoutes in preseason about how Chan knows how to minimize a Olines defficencies. And we have seen that a lot so far.
  17. Wow, that is funny as hell. Reid's reaction is priceless. Look slik eit was more in fun though. I mean they killed Washington for most the game
  18. I understand what you are saying. But think it is a little aplles and oranges. I mean you are comparing Tom Brady and the NE O to Eli Manning and NYG O. Gailey played much more aggresive against NE for a reason. Dont think he necessarily needed to take that same aggresive approach playing NYG
  19. This is true. But also see a lot of five wide sets. How about 4 wides, TE chip blocks a DE and then is open underneath? This would have been a nicer play to watch then the interception in the fourth. Chan is great at schemeing routes where they confuse the DB's and then someone is left open underneath. Need to get back to that some.
  20. I will bet you anything they dont win all 8 of those games. This is NOT the Steelers team of last year or their SB winning year.
  21. I said it before the game, i wanted to see how Buffalo played on the road against a good team. They looked good in this game at times and others they looked bad. That goes for the entire team. Chan and Fitz looked suspect- to say it nicely. On the road you maybe wont get some of the quetsionable calls, and may have a few go against you. Also the crowd isn't there to help disrupt opposing teams chemistry. The Bills are 4-2. I am happy with that record, i think we all should be. And i by no means think this is the same type of team as 2008(The Washington Redskins of this year are that team). There is going to be some growing pains with a young team, one of the biggest ones is winning on the road. But the Bills played a good solid Giants team close. And if they can correct a few mental mistakes, they will start winning some of these.
  22. Not really, to me it says- we have been hit hard at WR with inijuries, we also think we have a team here that can make a run into the playoffs. Oh and by the way we haven't been to the playoffs in over a decade. Wouldn't it be nice to give our fans something to cheer about in January?
  23. Isn't Bells contract up after the year? Think they would keep Bell at LT and move Hairston to RT? Bell is a solid LT but by no means elite. Not sure what kind of money that commands, maybe 8-10mil a year? Play Hairston at RT for a few years under his rookie contract, then maybe you could trade Bell after 2 years for another high draft pick if he continues to play well. Maybe this all makes no sense, or i am off base.
  24. This was my thought. It seems at times the team loses focus or almost goes to sleep, especially on offense. I know they have great stats and are puttin gup a lot of points-save the Cincy game. But the entire 3rd qtr against the Eagles the whole O looked sluggish, even the play calling. It is easier to turn the momentum with 70,000 fans cheering you on. They need to show they can do it on the road by themselves. To take that next step into being a solid, good team, need to win some tough road games.
  25. This weekend is a big game for many reasons, but so far the Bills are 1 and 1 on the young year in road games. K.C. is one of the weaker teams in the league this year. Bottom third so far. Cincy is an average to good team. i see them as a middle of the pack team, with potential. To get to 10-12 wins, buffalo is going to have to show they can beat good teams on the road.
