I do not remember Chan's offense in Pitt or Dallas having to depend on the quick passing game to move the ball. i may be wrong but IMHO if the Bills had a better LT and the line stays mostly healthy, then Gailey can open up his entire playbook. D Cords picked up on the Bills tendencies and were able to shut them down for the most part the second half of the year. Chan did the best he could with what he had to work with. When the line was healthy he had a bigger array of plays to chose from. This is why the Bills need to get a LT early this weekend

Tomcat's 6th annual "gimme five" draft contest

Why not? Kid played a lot against the spread during college, proved he can cover. he is also a hard hitter and good at the run. I could care less about his name, but he has all the atributes both on and off the field i believe to be a very solid player. He was a leader on the TCU team. Like i said why not?

Buddy Nix's all SEC Draft
atlbillsfan1975 replied to bisonbrigade's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gilmore in the first. And since Buddy said no TE in the draft sub Charles in the 4th for best LB? Then i think you got a winner! or one i would like a lot. I would like Charles in the fourth being a UGA fan, but Buddy hardly lies. -
Buddy Nix online chat recap
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The 'no brainer' one is kalil. There has been some talk that he may slide because of 'needs' of teams ahead of Buffalo. If this happens, highly doubt it, then Buddy wastes no time and takes him. I can actually see the t.v announcers having to say ' whats that? ok, we are not going to go to a commercial, Buffalo already has their man'. Hey we can all dream, it has been a great offseason so far, lets keep the momentum going! -
Deion says his wife beat him up

As someone who is divorced i would never have considered living with my ex. I know he travels a lot, but there is way too many emotions to live with an ex. having said that i applaud him for walking away. and yes i did laugh at some of the jokes. Why could he not run away? Where the hell did that sub 4.3 speed go? -
If K Williams is back to form of 2010, and everyone stays mostly healthy, this line is as good as any in the league. Great front line, and very strong depth. Should be able to rush the passer and stuff the run. Will not have to blitz much at all, which is what Wanny's version of the 4-3 is based on. Your line has to be dominate for his D to work. Buddy went out and got him the guys, now they have to perform.

Yes. And really the kid from PC is moving up to the fourth round?

PFT: Fred Jackson says 'contract not a concern'
atlbillsfan1975 replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree it is time to reward him, but also think the Bills should protect themselves from the over 30 rb curse. Give him a healthy signing bonus and a good base this year. The next two season the base is much less but has considerable incentives for staying healthy. He is a great guy, and it helps the team if the Bills show they appreciate him. This will only build comradery. -
Or Ravens and become the next Ray Lewis?

Dream Scenario...FIrst four rounds
atlbillsfan1975 replied to SRivRoc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yeah i just can not see them taking Jenkins. He is very stubborn in a negative way. It cost him his ride at UF and had to go to a smaller school to finish his career in college. Great physical attributes, but if his head is not right, the talent wont sustain him. -
Better then none. And they should win. Glad it is at home. Just may try to make that one, a Thursday night game in the Ralp will be awesome. Mid November could mean decent weather. Ha

Or he realizes tat 'experts' love saying ' i did not have him going this high, that is a reach'....'there is some great value on my board, (player x) is just sitting there and someone needs to grab him'?

Why Stephen Hill WILL be the pick at number 10.
atlbillsfan1975 replied to mob16151's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can remember watchign D Thomas make alot of big plays for Tech. Being a UGA fan i remember his 76yd TD to start the third quarter of the 2009 game. He was an all around player. Great blocker, good speed, and knew how to get open. Plus he was a very physical WR in college. I thought first round was a little high for him, but the Broncos disagreed. He has been decent in Denver, but by no means great. He played in the same system in 2008 and 2009 that Hill did and produced better numbers his senior year. I am not sold on taking a wr from an option offense. You have to wonder how many times they benefited from defenders being lulled to sleep by run, run, run, run, pass, run, run , run. run, pass etc... Hill could turn out to be a solid guy, but any team taking him in the first is basing it solely on potential over any kind of real production. -
Jets Antonio Cromartie doesn't want to be on TV

The interview with him during Hard Knocks was kinda fun/sad. he couldn't even keep the ages and names straight. I am sure someone here can put the video up for it. -
Why Stephen Hill WILL be the pick at number 10.
atlbillsfan1975 replied to mob16151's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you watched him play in college you knew he was going to be good. Can not say that for certain about Hill, because to be honest he really did not stand out in the Tech Games i watched this past year. -
I think you are correct in this to a degree. How long till the day that players sign a waiver for head injuries? How many guys do think would not sign it? and thus not be able to play? This is a question so dont jump my sh*t. But think about it, how many guys do you think legitimately would not sign it and thus not be able to play? You got guys like Manning, who have multiple procedures on their neck in order to come back and play.

Its because they dont want to draft them. People here like them, but we also have real Jobs. this is a hobby. Buddy, Whaley, and Chan do not think Floyd or Kuechly are the right fit, is what i take from it. Also given the fact that Buddy was not at ND pro day, is another huge indicator. You put those two facts together with Buddy's history of doing what he says and not posturing, i think you get your answer...Floyd is definatly not the pick.

First thank you as always for the breakdown. But to say Glenn is a poor mans hairston is a bit misguided i think. Give Glenn an entire mini camp and preseason, i bet he beats Hairston out. I just think he has way to much upside. No player coming out of college is compltely ready and with out struggles in the pro's. Personally, like you said Bill, if Buddy makes the pick i know its for good cause.

I agree with that whole heartedly. if you think Rodgers didn't learn anything from Favre your kidding yourself. I also do not really know much about Ostweiller, but just watching his interview with Gruden, i didn't like the kid. he seems to think a lot of himself, kinda screamed a Ryan Leaf to me. Like i said, do not know anything about him but what i saw in a five minute spot on ESPN.

New Draft Strategy
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bill Belicheck? But you also dont address the tackle until your sixth pick? No thanks on that idea -
Brady was a sixth rounder. I agree he has good numbers, once the Bills make the playoff's and SJ has these same numbers, everyone will get on board. I also think he is lacking that one defining play so far. It could have been the catch against the Steelers, but it was not to be.

Ryan Broyles works out for NFL scouts
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He a burner or a slot guy?- 5'10 and 190. 4.57 40 isn't great, but if he can get back to 4.3, then who knows. i know the name but not sure what he is best suited at, i know we got some OU fans on here and would like to hear what they have to say about him. -

Dude, it is a sign on a delivery vehicle for a restuarant and i can gaurantee it is not in as good of shape as it was before he knocked it off. If you want to argue symantics i can too. Having said that, we are both hoping he produces. I did read the story, being from Atlanta i was interested in where he grew up and where he was from. Sorry man, but your not the only person who can read on the board. Good luck and have a nice day trying to pick fights.
