I mean does Lamar Jackson count? This is like saying well the Steelers Superbowl appearances have an asterisk because they didn't beat Brady.... Luck of the draw absolutely matters The eagles in 2022 beat Daniel Jones and then Christian McCaffrey playing quarterback to get to the super bowl.... Nobody cares

Game week thread - Bengals at Bills (flexed to 1pm ET)
Kelly to Allen replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
If beat the pats, they play Baltimore the next week. Then tyrod , then tua who has been really good vs the Patriots The pats aren't beating buffalo and the ravens. If they do beat us I'll be a little surprised but don't give it any weight unless they do something in the playoffs ahead of us or against us. You think the pats are good. I think they're basically the same version of the chargers with Herbert with the easiest schedule in NFL history -
yea, a lot of folks picturing sundays lineup and not 3rd quarter of the AFCCG when someone goes down also a lot of folks seem to think we only had 1 waiver claim and chose him over all those starting DEs and WRs that were cut and being passed on waivers today

Darius Slay claimed on waivers by Buffalo

It not like he got claimed by the Titans. He will show up and play -

This pic to me, is Josh saying Iād rather throw there then to the 2 guys up top (Keon and Knox). Not saying thatās right obviously, just the result of this WR room we were told to not question bc 30 points a game in 2024 or something. *WR room is now in its 5th iteration of the season*
-
I would still take Metcalf. He's only 28 and still a freak athlete. Pittsburgh just sucks. I think he would excel with Josh throwing him the football. I'd also take Patrick Queen. Let him play the inside and QB the defense. Move Bernard to one of the outside spots.

Less were appalled because the media didnt cover, one tenth to the degree they are covering this, Obama drone bombing the Middle East into oblivion. Maybe if Trump bombs a wedding flotilla off the coast of Venezuela, you can pretend itās no big deal. -
This changes everything. Browns readying Deshaun Watson's return.

Darius Slay claimed on waivers by Buffalo

Then, once again, gentlemen... Darius Slay will retire during half time. -
I think he has already stated he is retiring at the end of the season. He was probably counting on finishing in Philadelphia.

Watson is washed. His arm is weaker than Sanders' at this point. This would increase our chances of victory imo, because he is bound to be absolutely dreadful. -

I enjoy how their owner is like "We know he sucks and that he is wildly unpopular with the fans, but we're paying him a lot of money and, by God, he's going to work for it!" -
Great breakdown. I know folks like @HappyDays and @BADOLBILZ are quick to blame Gabe Davis, but man, on that INT vs Pitt, it was just a terrible read by Allen. Davis did nothing wrong. And I think itās a bit rich to blame Davis for ādroppingā a 70 mph bullet pass that probably traveled 7 yards in a fog-of-war scrum vs Tampa. Not one NFL receiver is catching that, and the blame for him not keeping his feet in bounds vs an elite boundary corner in Stingley, who had established sideline control on that play, seems way off too. That struck me as a no-chance play regardless of the receiver given how good the coverage was. And trust me, I am not a big defender of Davis.
