Is it just the rich getting tax breaks? -
Ben Johnson is a great new emerging HC. He may be the one to finally make the Bears relevant again in a couple of years. They have talent. I think it’s a great idea. Competitive practices help both teams.

Owners approve a change to the onside kick rule
First Round Bust replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
so 50 on-sides kicks last season with 3 recovered by the kicking team for 6 percent success rate. Given that...I quite dont understand why the rule still requires these to be announced before the play..with the element of surprise being key and thus removed Can't be safety issue as the teams are lined-up close to each other and players are not running all that fast into each other ? -
Is that why you have over 118K posts? Getting show material yo?

DOGE did not meet its goal of “trillions in waste.” Not even close. A complete failure.

This is great. Bears have a great prospect at MLB we can check out. 14 yr old Tremaine Edmunds has great potential to be a playmaker at such a young age and already 19 years in the league.

Then why are MAGAs celebrating this bill? -
were talking about the 30 year T bill. Its yield hasn't been this high since 2007. It's rise has serious implications Since bond prices move inversely to yields, rising yields indicate investors are selling bonds. This behavior runs counter to the typical flight-to-safety response during market turmoil and has fueled worries of a broader "sell America" trade. Wall Street analysts say the volatility reflects a shift in investor sentiment as recent optimism around trade developments gives way to renewed concern over the nation’s ballooning debt. And while markets initially shrugged off the credit downgrade, analysts caution the bond market isn’t out of the woods, pointing to rising fiscal uncertainty and stubborn inflation as key factors likely to keep long-term yields volatile in the short run.

New NFL Award, Thanks to Dion Dawkins. Protector of the Year.
Big Blitz replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
While we’re on the subject of best OT in the game (I bet this award goes to an OT as often as QB wins MVP maybe I’m wrong) but it is downright criminal that Dawkins hasn’t made an all pro team. He’s one of the 3 best OTs in the game. Underrated and disrespected. Yahoo sports referring to him as a Guard: ….Vincent credited Buffalo Bills Pro Bowl guard Dion Dawkins and retired Los Angeles Rams All-Pro tackle Andrew Whitworth for helping facilitate the award. *image* Buffalo Bills guard Dion Dawkins, 73, was instrumental in the creation of the Protector of the Year award, according to NFL executive Troy Vincent. 100% agree. And that the thought is that it's about safety when it is only about 5 or 6 plays a game is hog poop

Owners approve a change to the onside kick rule
transient replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Having to declare it before a trailing team uses it relegates it to nothing more than a desperation play, like a Hail Mary. They need to find a way of making it useable again without restriction, or eliminate it altogether. It used to be part of the game strategy, now it's a perfunctory thing to do in a 1 score game before the trailing team ultimately loses. -

The govt has been giving tax breaks to the wealthy since forever. They can buy influence unfortunately. Both dems and republican are guilty. -
https://bleacherreport.com/articles/25198150-nfl-reportedly-passes-onside-kick-rule-change-expands-opportunities-teams Last year teams could only use it when trailing in the 4th quarter. Now they can use it anytime when trailing.

I mean once he played, or practiced, or whatevered himself into the dog house, he never found the way out. His first year seemed promising, imo. I expected a nice step forward into year two. Then he ends up injured, then inactive, or barely seeing the field when he was active on game days. At that point, I think whatever it was had him completely and he just wasn't going to find his way onto the field consistently. I think a fresh start is good for him and he will be better in Dallas for that alone. I don't think he will all of a sudden turn into a superstar, but I think he fits better with what they do in their Secondary. For whatever reason, he fell out of favor quickly here.

Update the schedule? Ok. Early dinner followed by a long night of drinking and mischievousness. That oughta do it.

I can see us signing him for cheap during the summer with the expectation he may not get much playing time and just to help mentor the younger players -
🤔 maybe so. But it’s certainly true in my family. No history of heart attacks, cancer, Alzheimer’s etc. Every generation reach’s mid to late 90’s eventually succumbing to too many years on the ole mud ball.. Consequently, I’ve taken way too many risks… Car accidents, broke my neck playing football, fell off a roof, booze and drugs. Yet, here I am 🤷♂️

Its job is to find waste. And make/recommend the government - that will soon be staffed totally by AI in order to save the tax payer and do a better job than humans - more efficient. This can’t logically be opposed by anyone. Which is why libs have resorted to just mocking it and calling it a “failure.” DOGE is now a verb. It isn’t going anywhere.
