  1. Past hour
  2. Benefit of the soft schedule. Having everyone play hard. Anyone dealing with something be cautious.
  3. I think the demise of OTA has been inevitable for a while now. Ironically, I think the future state doesn't look at whole lot different than peak cable.
  4. Point is he wasn't a priority from the beginning, was he? For either the instigating J6 committee or the FBI scurrying around and dispatching agents across the planet to apprehend J6er's everywhere. For even the smallest of infractions. Given the lack of zeal to find this guy, and the pipe bomb guy while we're at it, its well within the realm of possibilities the gallows guy had (or has) some direct or indirect connection to some government agency that worked to amplify the event. Some might even go so far as to suggest they staged the event and facilitated violence for political aims. You should refer questions to the Biden crew that chased after everyone but gave the task of finding this guy the Sgt. Schultz treatment... I know nothing, I see nothing, I hear nothing.
  5. I am with you. My wife watches both Matlock and Elsbeth, and they are indeed terrible.
  6. I wish they would let the honorees change up what they say to the crowd, but other than that I’m a fan. No different than, for example, the Vikings getting an ex-player or other Minnesota legend to blow the “SKOL” horn at the start of every game.
  7. If only the game wasn’t on a Sunday… 🤔
  8. Didn't feel this warranted a new topic but Tua's press conferences are becoming funnier and funnier. After talking about how Josh Allen is an all-round better human being than he is last week, he's now taking shots at fans and Cam Newton. Can't blame him really, anyone who dresses like Cam deserves what they get. Go get em Tua!!!
  9. A word can evoke different meanings to different people. That's up to the interpreter in much the same way as a piece of art or music can. However, in this case we have a well accepted definition (from Websters): ban 1 of 3 verb ˈban banned; banning; bans Synonyms of ban transitive verb 1 : to prohibit especially by legal means ban discrimination Is smoking banned in all public buildings? also : to prohibit the use, performance, or distribution of ban a book ban a pesticide The fact hat Websters chose to include an example about all public buildings illustrates that a ban is possible only in some. Schools are public buildings. Therefore there can be bans in some schools. additionally, some schools prohibit certain books by legal means. Therefore they ban them. The only pertinent premise that you present towards your conclusion is the logos part. and it is invalid. The rest are semantic red herrings. It's a much simpler argument than you present. Perhaps you can diagram it for us.
  10. You want to know who the loser is in this? Nexstar and its merge partner (Scripps?). What are those stations going to broadcast without ABC? Old time shows like WBBZ in Buffalo? Other dreck? Good luck making your nut on that. In the meantime, ABC learned that it can spread this content to a wide audience via Hulu and YouTube. So maybe OTA TV is in trouble. But the content that these networks can broadcast online is not. I would be pissing bullets if I was at Nextstar, etc.
  11. ⬆️ Hoax
  12. Not necessarily. It just means there's legally sufficient evidence of a crime (whatever he was indicted for). Proving it is a different matter. I haven't read anything about this case other than this thread and a couple of reports about the AG's skepticism with respect to the case. The skepticism is natural b/c perjury cases are tough to prove. So we'll see. Try the case and let's find out. Except J6ers. They're all above the law.
  13. You mean that you can build a stadium that works for multiple events as a year round venue? Who knew? 😂
  14. J6 choir. Hoax. There is some cool stuff on here, though. Karma Police is a great song. If you're not thinking about anuses, then you're posting about balls. Gross.
  15. All true, with relative health, this schedule and this team COULD threaten to go undefeated and that’s no hyperbole. They won the toughest game of the year. There are only 3 games where is should be even close, Bucs, KC, and Philly are all dangerous, but in my view, as it stands today, the only team that looks the part is Philly right now. Of course, the Bills will theoretically be dealing with KC with their weapons back at WR when they play and that makes things more interesting. The other part of that equation is KC might already find themselves in a do or die scenario if things keep going south for them. It’s WAAAAAY too early to read a lot into what’s happened thus far. If they get past the Bucs and KC the talk of undefeated is going to heat up. All that said, nothing is a given in this league and it could all unravel for the Bills too. In one sense, this team has been so good with no real stars, that injury should be less scary, on the other hand, there’s one guy that has to be healthy or it all crashes down. Hopefully, the big names stay healthy and there isn’t the traditional 2 let down games this year or if they do come out with one, they can rally the troops and find a way to win. It could be a very special year.
  16. Great points! Other than Cook (this year anyway), I would say Allen's weapons are in the same "mediocre but Josh makes them better" category that Brady had for most of NE years, especially the WRs. The bar for a HOF type season for Cook was set by Barkley (and even Taylor) last season. He would have to average 122 YPG rushing for the rest of the season to get into that stratum. Same for Kincaid--he's off to a better start than last season, but still only 5 targets a game, so the opportunity for a massive impact (even for a TE) is limited. The Bills spread it around far more than, say, KC with Kelce who has averaged 8 targets a game over his entire career.
  17. The grand jury in heavily dem eastern VA seems to think so. We'll see.
  18. Yep, if the medical staff say any of those players are at greater risk of re-injury than normal they should sit this week. Next week get them out there.
  19. Yup and I don't think for a minute McDermott was the one that developed Allen, I believe it was all Daboll.
