I went through it about a year and a half ago. It's one of the hardest things in life you end up having to do. I had a similar situation where we brought our dog in for surgery to remove a few bad teeth and remove an abscess on his gum. He took a nose dive during recovery a few days after the surgery. Turns out the abscess that the vet dismissed as a concern months earlier and again at the time of surgery as anything to worry about, was indeed cancerous. It triggered a response that fast forwarded other tumors he had internally on his liver and his kidneys shut down. He wouldn't eat, could barely walk, and couldn't make it outside. Even when we brought him back to the vet when his was struggling to eat, it was dismissed as just an older dog being tired from the stress of surgery. We brought him to the Orchard Park emergency hospital for a second opinion, got a full examination (scans and whatnot) and an overnight stay. Once we learned there was nothing we could do to help him and he would die in a few days anyways, we made the choice to do it right then. The choice to put him down wasn't that hard because we wanted to end his suffering. But I was second guessing our choices and not getting other opinions months back when we might have been able to do more for him. I was deeply depressed over it for weeks, drinking heavily, not sleeping. My other dog who was a rescue and together with him for years was at a complete loss, just pacing the house, not knowing what to do. After awhile it gets easier, but never really goes away. They are family after all. We were fortunate to have another rescue fall into our laps about two months later, which brought a lot of happiness back into the house. The other dog started acting like himself again, so we have that as a silver lining... Also switched vets to the OP clinic and have been happy with them.

Yes … I agree … he has been restructured so many years though that he is here another 12 months at least

When Aaron Rodgers runs for a first down on 3rd and 11 is when I will cuss.

i think 'empowering' a QB by having him avoid free rushers is akin to saying everybody eats is 'empowering' him via his WR corps...doesn't wash for me i fully admit to bias because ive been frustrated by the lack of real talent on the offensive staff for Allen's entire tenure. but i cant help but feel these guys just want to cut corners at every turn on offense and leave Allen to pick up the pieces so they can dedicate resources elsewhere

We're Heading to Pittsburgh... The Stadium is Haunted

Exactly. If you only think you may have had the flu, you have not had it. A full blown flu is AWFUL. Flus kill a lot of people every year, and for a reason. -
was he wearing these in any of our first 4 games? I don't think so. Losing root cause discovered
-
I also think it's time to start planning for Dawkins replacement. Not saying it needs to be next year but his play is starting to fall off
-
The OL won’t return in full… MCGovern and Edwards are free agents and both are likely gone
-
it needs to be traded in a package for a higher caliber WR or else it's a failure
-
dumb question maybe....does anyone on our staff have experience calling offensive plays?
-
Well our 1st rounder will forever be compared to Waddle so can't wait to see how that plays out
-
My biggest issue with Brady is that he can make good gameplans (stick with me here...), but they're designed in a vacuum. Nothing is geared *around* the personal we actually have, nor are any adjustments made. He tries hammering pegs into holes they don't fit, and if it doesn't work he just hammers harder. I would love to see a plan designed around who we actually have, and fluid enough to be changed mid-game.
-
Very much agree with this, however, the thing is, every team has trouble stopping these guys. If it was easy to stop them they wouldn't be premier players! The real problem is, we don't have any of these players our self and our GM/Coach are almost adverse to this type of player. Almost every contender has a few... we have zero outside of Josh (maybe cook but without an outside threat he's not going to beat a team by himself).

Brady sucks, he's terrible. Go back to fundmentals. Start schemeing some plays for Elijah Moore or something. He's fast, run him on some easy plays over the middle when the space gets cleared out. He's in a problem solving industry and Brady has no answers for anything! Any wrinkle the opponent sends his way, he can't counter it.

Game week thread - Bills at Steelers

that doesn't bode well for us IMO. Hope I'm wrong -
There needs to be multiple blockbuster type trades. But it's more likely Beane will draft undersized Defensive players instead

the Brady haters (not I-me) may also get their wish if he leaves for the LSU HC postion which is a top 5 NCAA D1 job and pays megabucks...more than one non-Bills fan mentioned that to me on my recent flight to-fro the 716... So...then...what...last two (2) Bills OC have been the in-house QB coach...so is the next man up....Ronald Curry...who has no-zero OC experience !?!?!?! Playing Oakland Raiders (2002–2008) Detroit Lions (2009)* St. Louis Rams (2009)* * Offseason and/or practice squad member only Coaching San Francisco 49ers (2014–2015) Offensive assistant New Orleans Saints (2016–2017) Offensive assistant New Orleans Saints (2018–2020) Wide receivers coach New Orleans Saints (2021) Quarterbacks coach New Orleans Saints (2022–2023) Quarterbacks coach & passing game coordinator Buffalo Bills (2024–present) Quarterbacks coach

I don't disagree and I expect the biggest splash to be at WR to address that. BUT the offense realistically needs two guys and with the right guys it can really go. The defense on the other hand is a full blown mess. The investments made to help the d-line are either hurt or failed, the LB corp sucks and doesn't fit todays NFL. The secondary thank god looks like it could be quite good if they get the right safety in and another decent good CB for reserve. But in general a lot more talent and a new scheme is needed if you want the D to be decent.

Game week thread - Bills at Steelers

I’m not sure how the Bills are favorites in this one. Steelers will run all over this defense, Rodgers will be able to keep the chains moving when they’re not, and TJ Watt will probably have 6 sacks. Steelers 27 Bills 24 -
Wonder if Jordan Addison will be available this offseason
Warriorspikes51 replied to gonzo1105's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is what needs to happen. Brown would likely be much cheaper to acquire. JJ is 2 1sts and maybe more -
Penix actually improves the team even if he isn’t getting the job done. London is a more productive guy. Bijan more productive in the passing game also. Disagree but that’s down to personal preference. I can see someone making the argument for Seattle and it not being wrong. I will say, it is a divisional game and for some reason when LA went up 14-3 then 14-6 they barely ran the football from that 2nd quarter onward. In fact, all their drives from the 2nd quarter onward were all 5 plays or less… Bear in mind too their first drive was inside the opponents 10 yard line and the failed to convert a 4th & 1.

WR is one position where "culture" should be mostly overlooked

I've been drained of any optimism that Beane is going to fill any roster holes after many seasons of failing to do it. In fact, I'm not sure that's the best approach to restocking the roster. I'd rather see them going BPA at whatever position that might be. Getting some playmakers and serious talent at any position will do more to raise the level of play on either offense and defense rather than reaching for need which has failed as evidenced by spending so much on the D line for no big improvements year after year or drafting the 7th best corner vs. for example the best center or safety. I think that's more how teams like the Eagles, Ravens, and Chiefs approach it.

Read tha damn original post. No one is asking for Matt Canada to be hired at Bills' OC. The thread is asking if we agree that the number of fired OCs is a QB stat.
