McDermott’s Defense utilizes alot of undersized, speed/quickness players. Not saying that’s what happened here, but it’s likely a contributing factor to the point you made.

Jordan Schultz is as legit of an NFL Reporter source as it gets. He's not going to report something fake. But is this a good enough source for you?

I couldn't see him keeping a roster spot this season any ways. It's basically like telling him you can come back next year and try again without getting cut. Next season when he's only needed to be the 4th or 5th DT and he's still on a rookie contract maybe he has a chance.

Yeah there is. So long as he stayed in shape, he knows what he needs to do in this Defense like the back of his hand. That's why he keeps being brought back. That's why he was immediately put on the field when we signed him at the end of last season. That said, if Carter was thought of as more of a 1T this season than a 3T, it would likely be Logue over Phillips anyways.
