  1. Past hour
  2. You are entitled to do that. Spend your time as you wish. But you are in the minority. TV viewing numbers remain very strong. There was a very slight dip in 2024 from the record high in 2023 but well within the margin of normal variance.
  3. Good point. Although film schedules are generally slightly more flexible than the NFL calendar which is fixed.
  4. Today
  5. First, it's not the "psyche of the Bills fan base." It's just not. It's the psyche of a significant portion of them, yes. And it goes something like one of those scenes from the original Star Trek where the actors are all trying to synchronize throwing themselves from side to side on the set as if they're all being battered by huge explosions and Captain Kirk is spitting out, to nobody, his thoughts, "Must ... reach ... the phase shift ... dilithium ... button ... reverse the polarity ... find ... scapegoat ... blame Bills losses ... pitchforks ..." This is one of the most common, basic ways to handle loss and disappointment among human beings. And most of the time it doesn't make sense. It's just the comfortable response. It's not "everyone" who knows the defense is a "fraud." It's mostly a small group of very sad people. Who mistake the inability to stop one sensational offense with the greatest QB since Brady, a guy who's likely to enter the GOAT conversation, with being bad. They certainly weren't good enough last year. But overall, the past four years before that they were damn good. And again, they have actually been damned effective in the playoffs. Except against the Chiefs. You're right, it's not just you. But it's closer to "just you" than it is to "everyone."
  6. And the playoffs too. It's only against the Chiefs during the playoffs we've had consistent problems. Damn it. Oh, my God! Yes!!!!! This!!!! It's easy to forget. Thanks for the much-needed reminder.
  7. This is my best guess also, but if Hailee starts shooting a movie sometime soon ... Her schedule, like his, has dates where she absolutely must be there. And plenty of unscheduled time also. I'm sure her schedule will also have to be considered.
  8. Fair point. I think it depends on the seriousness of the accusation. I didn't expect OJ Simpson to have a press conference following the murder accusations saying "yeah, I take full responsibility for murdering my wife and that waiter. I'll learn from it." If it's something as minor as this though I'd have more respect for a player if he just said, "Yup. Got injured and wanted to get back on the field as quick as possible because I only have a short time to build potentially generational wealth." I'd respect him more. Plus, it would be easier for him to sleep at night.
  9. I feel like this is a thing parents tell their kids for some reason that has absolutely no evidence of being true in reality. From every example I've seen both those directly involving me directly and those involving others, admitting guilt almost never proves to be a beneficial choice. Not only do you guarantee punishment, but your public perception is damaged forever. Not once in my entire life have I ever heard a person say, well, he [did poorly perceived thing], but because he admitted it I'll stand in his corner. Deflect, Deny, Deflect to the bitter end unless you're getting a hell of a deal to do otherwise. When you refuse to admit guilt, you get several benefits. 1. You can potentially evade punishment. 2. some people will believe you or will be skeptical enough to not want you crucified for it, and related to that, your legacy is nowhere near as stained as if you admit it in the first place which can have sever implications both reputational and financial.
  10. I just hope you enjoyed the self-own I've further emphasized above.
  11. Too lazy to scroll, but figure this version wasn’t used. There’s so many great early career performances on Letterman:
  12. I think that's exactly it: risk tolerance and a certain degree of uncertainty regarding "randomized" testing schedules and results. Probably super common: limited offseason "training" regimens with targeted, incremental goals and conservative allowances. Seems like the infraction announcements happen largely during the offseason, but is there an NFL policy that defers such judgements once a season is officially underway? There must be in-season positives, given injury management and whatnot, so is there an NFL process for keeping a lid on those under a certain recurrence threshold? Or is my perception of this as a largely offseason phenomena inaccurate?
  13. There's also the "I take so much juice at once and so many masking agents I get confused so I just let my trainer take care of it and pray he doesn't screw up" approach. Either way, you look a hell of a lot better if you take full responsibility for it imo. Especially when there's no qualifiers in front of that statement.
  14. Peak off-season. Now I know what Larry Davis was obsessing about all week.
  15. I don't think anyone is making the argument they don't know that they're playing to the limit and a little past it with PEDs. That's not really the issue here. It's not about not taking banned substances, it's about not taking too much so you don't get popped. These guys aren't dosing out their own supplements. They have professionals for that, and I fully believe they're capable of screwing up, probably by misjudging what a player's test result will grade on a given day as a result of getting a little too risky with the program.
  16. I'd take Kelce in his prime over all of the other guys you mentioned except maybe Gronk. Plus, he CAN block. He just isn't asked to that much. He has blocked well on screen plays that I've seen. Coming out of College he was seen as a good blocking TE.
  17. The idea is to get him a gift not start a fight.
  18. Three senior DHS sources tell @FoxNews that the Boulder terror suspect is an Egyptian national in the U.S. illegally as a visa overstay who entered the U.S. during the Biden administration. I’m told Mohamed Sabry Soliman arrived at LAX on 8/27/22 on a B1/B2 nonimmigrant visa with an authorized stay through 2/26/23, but he overstayed & never left. I’m told on 9/29/22, he filed some sort of claim with USCIS, potentially an asylum claim, and on 3/29/23, USCIS under the Biden admin gave him work authorization, which expired on 3/28/25.
  19. Literally buying into the wedding industrial complex is insane and old fashioned and decadent behavior; while a night before dinner and drinks meetup is super helpful overall, and just plain awesome when the goal is to share things with people you love, but having some kind of intricate/pedantic ceremony that requires actual rehearsal is so oddly obedient to a consumerist and ridiculous event economy that I will never (again LOL) align with.
