Perhaps it’s different on other platforms for the app, but I’ve never been able to watch a show on the app when it was first showing on the HBO cable networks. Indeed, while I was watching it at 9 on Spectrum cable, my brother had to wait until that airing was over until he could watch it on the HBOMAX app. I wonder if others around here who couldn’t watch it on the app initially were able to at 10pm.

While I appreciate your perspective and your engagement with Evans’ work, the “scale” argument always misses the point. When Trump literally echoes Hitler’s rhetoric - from “vermin” to “enemy of the people” and floats imprisoning or executing political rivals, the historical parallels stop being academic. Hitler didn’t start with death camps; he started with propaganda, dehumanization, and institutional capture. If the shoe fits, it’s not about whether Trump is wearing it yet it’s that he’s lacing it up in full view.

She was already in a low security prison. Based on what she was convicted of how was she not in Sing Sing or a comparable place?

It's available on HBO Max in Australia as part of a Foxtel subscription. It has previously been aired on ESPN but not sure if that will be the case this year.

I am presently reading Richard J Evans trilogy on Hitler and the 3rd reich. Presently I'm in book 2 The Third Reich In Power. Hitler wouldn't muse about maybe arresting a political rival. He would have had the SS round them up and take them into the forest and shoot them. I know you and others like to compare "TRUMP" and Hitler. While they may have some traits in common like being great public speakers who can work a crowd. Or their high level of narcissism. You can say immigrants and Jews but it's really not the same. The scale of violence and ruling as a dictator is really not comparable.

So why are such images — clearly shaped by partisan and ideological interests — repeatedly published by Western newsrooms? Yeah, that’s a tough one:
