  1. Past hour
  2. I know McD thinks it needs addressing on the coaching end. We brought in those new defensive coaches in moves that felt like “the coaching over there needs some help.”
  3. We're going to learn a lot this year about him I mean I'd like to think he has a lot of potential but he has to show he can call a big game... In essence we will find out
  4. I generally agree with you... Know draft rating boards they fo factor in system fit. Buffalo playing a 4-3 D they are downgrading players whk might only be a 3-4 fit. Similarly roster needs factor in. Buffalo having Allen isn't using a 1/3 day pick on a QB now. With Watkins it was injuries that did him jn. Others its just not doing well enough at the pro level. What's not there yet in scouting is the ability to measure the player alone vs teammate effects We've seen players drafted high that suck but then go to a new team and succeeed. Success in league is so heavily dependant on system fit.
  5. And again - this is nothing against McD as a head coach. He’s proven elite. But as DC - a lot of elite performances vs garbage offenses. I forgot one. He was great in that Miami game where Tre tore his Achilles. That was a top McD performance. Maybe what I’m wondering is this a Babbich question. Fine but that Chiefs offense stunk.
  6. I mean he just got whooped in the super bowl... His defense couldn't stop a nosebleed We saw them with seven defensive players on the injury report going into Arrowhead... and lost our best corner during the game And we barely lost When they lost two starters in the secondary Gabe looked like Jerry Rice... Our defense has never made one of their receivers look like Jerry Rice no matter how banged up 2 years ago we were playing them without Bernard and Christian Benford.. Taylor rapp hurt... We had AJ Klein out there The margins are way too thin to be winning with AJ Klein on the field.. and we lost by a missed kick
  7. It’s possible. Does it feel that way? Im talking solely against good to great offenses. The best D minds in the league slow them down or stop them. I don’t feel or haven’t felt that way about our D vs a great offense in I can’t even tell you.
  8. Meanwhile, the good guy has 23 TDs to 4 ints. Best TD-INT ration in nfl history. Passer rating of 101+
  9. Spagnola and McDermott have both been head coaches or defensive coordinators for 17 years McDermott basically outpaces him in every single statistic... Besides having a healthy defense in the playoffs which spagnola has He also gets the spotting of the refs lol I've never seen such bad spots in an NFL game like in AFC championship game... So when the Chiefs are not getting the calls they're getting the spots Spags also just got his ass beat in the super bowl.. give them access to all 32 teams... And let them coach all 32 defenses and see how they fare I'd be willing to put my entire bank account that Sean McDermott would have a better defense down the line McDermott absolutely is a better developer, and spagnola scheme is nothing unbeatable... Other coaches also praise McDermott for his scheme When they lost two players in their secondary gabe Davis looked like Jerry Rice... We're constantly seeing the Chiefs in the playoffs without two starters in the secondary... or a starting linebacker and a starting corner... And two other contributors.. we had seven defensive players on the injury report going in to our AFC championship game.. in a game of inches where the talent margin is very slim that's the difference I'd like to see spags playoffs down three or four defensive contributors... I guarantee you we will win by a lot more than what they have been beating us by
  10. That social guys segment was horrific. Sadly, I will never get those 8 min of my life back. Oooooh. I just hit CANCEL. thanks!! Now, I have to save for the Wildcard on Peacocky.
  11. I think maybe Coleman has come into this season with a much more business like mindset, at least that’s the impression I’ve gotten from his interviews during this preseason. That might explain his lack of involvement in the show.
  12. You’re on a Bills message board. There isn’t a fan base that understands this more than us. Lamar is an absolute superstar….but the narrative will remain until he proves them wrong. Josh’s narrative is different because everyone has seen him be the best player on earth on the biggest stage. Just do it Lamar. I think he’s capable and I believe he will get you guys another Lombardi before he’s done. He just has to do it and you (as fans) shouldn’t dwell on these narratives. Get over it- win a Super Bowl. Yes- I know it’s hard. No one cares
  13. Confession: I’ve never watched Hard Knocks. If it were any other team, I’d rather watch paint dry on a rainy day. Cinematography? Gorgeous. Production? Tops. Narrator? Sounds like God himself reading bedtime stories. And yet… it was still boring enough to sedate a caffeinated toddler. Blessings counted—I never have to sit through that again.
  14. Congrats @Billl. You're no longer the biggest homer on this board.
  15. Bosa, Benford, Milano. In that order. They have to play all 17 games or most of them. We can survive if Milano missed a few. A have a bad feeling we become a full fledged disaster without Benford. And to some extent Bosa. Players that will put us over the top if they hit: Bishop The rookie DTs Max Considering the PT they’ll get they have to be at least decent.
  16. Did this guy show up at a game to use his laptop? (lower right)
  17. Lamar Jackson has a much bigger body of work in the playoffs than just that game. He doesn't rise to the moment, in my opinion. He saves his worst ball for the postseason. He has a 3-5 record, with 1,753 passing yards, 10 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions, with an 84.6 passer rating (plus 6 lost fumbles). That's not good enough. Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes play their best ball in the postseason. And even if the Ravens would have scored, there was plenty of time for the Bills to go win it after that. A lot of people seem to forget that.
  18. You just happen to apply the degree of difficulty to the catches but not the actual passes. Lamar had a routine play, but he double clutched and it threw off the timings. Andrews should have caught it- definitely. But Lamar didn’t execute perfectly. Josh made an otherworldly throw that, imo, no other QB could make. He hit his TE in both hands. Given the circumstances. Just did a much better job on that play than Lamar did. I thought the degree of difficulty on Josh’s pass was close to one in a million. And my boy dropped it. 😞 😢 😭
  19. This right here is what I expect our defensive head coach to be doing to elite QBs to. We don’t. We just don’t. And it’s infuriating. I think of McD as a great head coach. But I never consider him or view him as the defensive coach that BB or Spags or The Ravens put out most seasons vs great offenses. Which we’re going to see a bunch this season. Even the Bengals said it. “They ain’t the Ravens.” You just knew BB was going to slow down everyone. Embarrass rookies. McD embarrasses rookies and destroys teams with below average QBs and Olines. I can list the games vs great offenses at the time he at least limited since let’s say 2022 post Leslie Frazier: KC twice - in KC. But they might have been missing Pacheco the 2nd game. First time was the Von sack pressure forced an INT game. KC at home 2025. I’m not sure we can call those offenses at the time elite but still. Mahomes. Detroit for 3 quarters in 2024 Baltimore in 2022 - pre Henry. The finale vs Miami in 2023. Bo Nix round 1 last year. I guess. That’s it. Choke job no show performances: Rams 2024 Bengals 2022 and the playoff game At New England 2023 Mac Jones beat us. At Jets Zach Wilson beat us. Twice? Ravens in 2024 regular season. Eagles in 2023 He needs to establish himself as a problem for any offense. That’s been our ultimate downfall.

  21. Can we trade WR 6,7,8+Gabe for Hollis? Throw in a mini might secondary. I’m no NFL scout or coach…but, seriously, Gabe?
  22. Milano and Bernard when healthy have proven to be a dynamic duo. Along with Johnson, that Bills 2025 2nd level could reach its All-Pro potential behind a more disruptive d-line (we hope). That is the (only?) way they can take the next step to beat the best. (I also have continuously harbored the contrary suspicion that they should just clearly be going ALL THE WAY IN ON OFFENSIVE WEAPONS to surround Allen with other game changers who demand defensive attention. The world deserves to watch Josh freaking Allen with another bona fide stud WR and other dangerous dudes.)
  23. Good thing Wilkins is a Raider. use Foxy Knoxy for more goal line gadgets.
