I also think the change in scheme could play a part. We're using 4-3 as base defense more. We seem willing to rush more guys. We drafted a couple of DBs with man coverage skills in Hairston and Strong. We drafted interior rushing talent in Sanders and Walker. Some of this is just growing pains, but if we're looking for signs of optimism for Jan, I'd say it's the fact that we're at least willing to try other defensive alignments rather than dying with a zone once we play a QB good enough to carve us up.

None of them seem to miss biceps day.

Sort of funny how: like the Bills love their undersized LBs, the chiefs love their undersized speedster receivers. They have about 5 guys that look identical.

Without Bishop's INT, we might've had to do a comeback second half. Speaking of Bishop, that got to be a huge confidence boost for his young career. Definitely his first biggest play in NFL. It showed why the Bills wanted him in the 2nd round and even looked to trade up for him, as he disgnosed the slowing develping play correctly. I just hope he gets to ID the faster developing plays faster.

I'm still going with my theory that his weird body has begun starting to fail him the last year and change.

The officiating in that game was concerning. That really felt like they were under a "Keep this one competitive" order.

I agree that Babich might be an issue. Their willingness to change things up this year and try different approaches has me hopeful though. He's always going to be exactly what you've sees, imo.
