None. That won’t stop him.

In his 20 years as a NFL HC, Mike Shanahan only took 8 of his teams to the playoffs (7 with Denver) and only 3 of his playoff teams won playoff games. He made his reputation in his two SB runs, 1997 and 1998. After Elway retired, Shanahan coached Denver for 10 seasons. His teams made the playoffs only 4 times with a single win. Shanahan has been passed over for the HOF several times. Obviously, I'm not the only one who thinks he wasn't such a great HC. Yes, coaching and situational awareness IS a big thing, but so is knowing players' strengths and weaknesses. Cook's blocking was a liability in the passing game, which is why he didn't often play on third downs, both in the regular season and in the playoffs.

At the time I am writing this, a year and a half ago, I was on the operating table! Take vitals morning and night still. All fine except weight. Weight is up because of prednisone, which I have to take. Just got cataract surgery 3 and 2 weeks ago and my vision is crystal clear now! See primary doc and cardiologist every 6 months. See nephrologist every two months, get a blood test monthly and my 1 ½ year checkup at the Transplant center is Wednesday. After that if all is well, that one will be yearly.

More Dolphins Schadenfreude
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
They are soft. From the lines out. To the coach. Physical teams will give them problems. Playing on the road will give them problems because of snap count issues and their motion heavy offense. Playing in bad weather, problems. They aren't this like 4-13 team that people think, i think there's still a very good chance they end up ahead of the jets and patriots in the division. But they are not good, and they will continue to lose to playoff teams. -
How else would soup get packaged for soup kitchens? Your position is not very empathetic. Fingers crossed for John Deere’s survival. I think this news from them cancels out today’s consumer sales report. Darn.

In what alternate universe are the Saudis going to own the PGA?

But we do know how eager you are for it to fail. You started the night of by referencing Drudge, who was linking to Iranian state media. It’s a weird thing but it works for you. So be it.

patriots. you gonna cheer for the Arabs in the Presidents Cup? Ever go to the Porter Cup in Lewiston? Saw Ben Crenshaw and Lanny Wadkins there as a kid. -
When I was looking for my first car I took a test drive and the car died on me in the middle of a busy intersection. I had to walk back to the dealership. Before I left the salesperson asked me “If we fix it would you still be interested?” WTF do you mean “if” you fix it? Many years ago the wife and I walked into a Lexus dealer to look at an RX300. I asked what the stopping distance was since the wife had had issue with that in the past. The older sales rep said he didn’t know, then popped the hatch and told us that it easily fit two sets of golf cubs. We didn’t even play golf at the time.

Damn, that’s wild. Certainly John Deere is lying then. Why are you obsessed with working in tomato can factories?

We don’t know whether or succeeded. And, initial reports reflect that the enriched uranium was NOT destroyed.

Think he's going to get some snaps at QB? That's the kind of leadership they like in Cleveland, and lord knows they need another horse in that race.

Saw them in 1978 at the Aud (I was 21). Excellent show. Gene Simmons has never done drugs or drink. Nice Jewish boy. Came here from Isreal with nis mom, Real name is Chaim Witz. Paul Stanley wrote most of their hits. Due to a birth defect, he has a misshapen ear and is practically deaf in it. Ace Frehley was fired for his drinking and drug use, but cleaned himself up. Peter Criss quit or was fired (depending who you ask) from the band. I'm sure they will al show up. No one is that big of an a-hole to turn down an honor like that,

Wow, nobody? Fine I'll do it. I heard they signed him so Coleman would have someone on the roster with a slower 40 time.

Why would I care who owns it?

I get the conspiracy theories about Chiefs favoritism but that's really not what's happening here. The media has done a poor job of explaining the facts. Or worse, deliberately misconstruing the facts to get clicks. The NFL's personal conduct policy is a lot more nebulous than other polices that allow suspensions. The substance abuse policy for example is clearly written into the CBA and there is not much players can do to appeal those. In Rice's case however there is no set policy for what he did. So in his case his appeal must be heard by a neutral arbitrator and Sue Robinson is the federal judge the NFL has appointed to that job. Like any federal judge her schedule is booked out for months, so the first date she has available on her calendar is September 30. Under the rules of the current CBA there is simply nothing the NFL can do to expedite the process unless they agree to a settlement with Rice. The fact that the NFL is NOT reaching a settlement with Rice's side indicates to me they are actually trying to bring the hammer down and set an example. If it was just a 4 game suspension they were offering I believe he would have already accepted it. Dragging the suspension into the middle of the season may in fact be the worse outcome for Rice and the Chiefs. It likely will even help us since he will probably miss our game.
