Start of the season really could not have gone better for the Bills…
billsfan89 replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
Also I would argue that even if KC's offensive issues are alleviated by Rice coming back and Worthy being healthy the larger issue for KC is that their defense while good might not be as elite as it once was thanks to Chris Jones declining slightly and an erosion of talent elsewhere. KC's offense can improve but if they are not gonna have an elite defense it's gonna be an issue. -

You're doing it on purpose. Just like you're avoiding my capital murder question on purpose. You don't grow when you are this stubborn. Anyone with reasonable intelligence understands this but won't if you put a narrative above logical thinking. -
Crazy that he is already on the verge of being labeled a bust after his college career. But this is just horrendous...

Teams seem more willing to go for it on 4th and short from anywhere on the field really...Vrabel went for it on 4th and short from the Pats like 25 in the 1st quarter just randomly and they made it. I think there is a big push to maintain control of the ball with the decisions being made now far more than it ever was before. Haven seen numerous cases of teams going for it on 4th and short from their own side of the field in situations where years prior would have been 100% punts since it was either early in the game or a close game...not a situation where a team is trying to get back in it late, etc.. Seems more and more in these situations teams are going for it rather than handing the ball over via punt.

My guess is there will be no noticeable effect at all. People tend to be able to compartmentalize when it comes to sports, particularly when their favorite team is involved.

Jimmy Kimmel Canceled
B-Man replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
LIBERALS WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND THIS AS MARKETS ARE AN INCOMPREHENSIBLE MYSTERY TO THEM: The real reason Jimmy Kimmel was sacked. I AM not in the least surprised to see the US media and Democratic Party go into meltdown mode over the ‘indefinite suspension’ of Jimmy Kimmel Live, with talk of Trump firing comedians, destroying freedom of expression and taking away democracy. I am surprised and disappointed to see many in the British media, who I thought were slightly more sane, falling for the same hogwash. Jimmy Kimmel, one of that new breed of unfunny comedians, has hosted a daily late-night show on ABC for the last ten years, during which time his ratings have dropped by a third, hardly surprising as he has insulted half of his audience night after night. His suspension was imposed after three days of mocking and making sick jokes on air about the assassination of Charlie Kirk. According to the commentariat over here, this is dangerous censorship, an attack on free speech, state control of the media, blah, blah. Such claims expose a total ignorance of what has been going on in the US. Kimmel’s ‘sacking’ was a business decision, pure and simple. Anybody who has watched the output from the left-wing US media such as ABC, CNN and MSNBC, will know that they still devote every hour of the day to virulent anti-Trump propaganda and lies. The idea that their bosses now want to suck up to the President is beyond ludicrous. The reality is that Kimmel’s sickening rants over the last week led to many of ABC’s affiliates pulling Kimmel Live from their channels – in the US, large TV companies such as ABC rely on these affiliates to carry broadcasts to local cable viewers. Large affiliates, including Nextstar, Sinclair, Gray and Tegna all pulled the programme. Nextstar’s CEO cited a ‘breach of journalistic standards’, while Sinclair’s executive chairman David Smith called the remarks ‘divisive and irresponsible’. With this wholesale loss of syndication, coupled with advertisers also pulling ads, ABC had little choice but to dump Kimmel. https://www.conservativewoman.co.uk/the-real-reason-jimmy-kimmel-was-sacked/ . -
I really wanted to go this game. Still hoping to find some seats for the bucs game. I have not been home to experience a real fall since 2006 and I miss it. We do not have fall in North Texas.

This right here. I know we would all love to see us hand a 50 burger up and thrash them. But a conservative gameplan playing mistake free will work. They only chance the Saints have is if we beat ourselves with stupid mistakes. Run the ball, keep the clock moving and GET OUT OF THE GAME HEALTHY!!!

Do The Bills Have A Passing Game Problem?
Rochesterfan replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall
They could, but it would drive people crazy. Just look at NE’s draft from 2003 to 2012 a period of 10 years of hefty dominance. 2003: 4 of the top 5 picks on defense including their 1st pick 2004: 4 of the top 5 picks on defense including their 1st pick 2005: 3 Defense and 2 offense in first 5 - both offense on OL including 1st 2006: offensive draft RB, WR, TE, FB, and K in first 4 rounds - all failures except K 2007: 4 of top 5 defense including 1st round 2008: 4 of top 5 defense including 1st round - only offense a failed QB in 3rd 2009: 3 of top 4 defense including 1st 2010: 3 of top 4 defense including 1st 2011: offensive draft OT in 1st, DB in 2nd then 2 RB and a QB 2012: 6 of 7 were defense including 1st. So for a 10 year run 8 of the 10 years the defense was drafted 1st and mostly and when they did go offense it was mostly OL or TE (Gronk in 2010 2nd round). They drafted few skill players mostly RBs that failed out. Many of those highly drafted defensive players paired nicely - many left and came back later on cheap contracts to guide the next group. The majority were DL and DBs especially early. Why were they successful- they let Brady handle making the offense work and drafted the defensive side over and over and over filling new players in, resigning those they could and cutting and trading those that wanted out, but that is where they drafts went and that is why they were successful. People here lose their minds that we are not picking offensive weapons for Josh all the time. -
Did anyone happen to catch the story on the Sunday Night NBC Nightly News? Basically a quick blurb about how the current political climate between the US and Canada could impact the Bills as it relates to Canadian fans being willing to cross the border and spend money in the US. Not much meat to the story. They interviewed 3 fans from Canada (One who didn't care, one who did care but came anyways, and one who cared and stayed home. Although it seemed like that last person never came to games anyways). TBD favorite Tim G. was interviewed as well, noting that 15% of the season ticket holder base was from Canada. Although at no point in the story did they mention how much of that 15% they thought may actually change their spending or game attendance habits. Anyway thought I'd share to see if anyone here had any thoughts on how Canadian attendance may be impacted (but please keep it as non-political as possible).

Agreed. I can appreciate some elements of Trump, but tbh.. I watched a lot of the Memorial and Rubio, Vance & Erika Kirk were incredible .. and then Trump came out and I just lost interest. He seemed almost out of place.. and it was very clear we were seeing the vision for the right after he leaves office. -

Big Turk replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
Really is insane that people think Rice will just walk back on the field after a year, coming off a serious knee injury and just be like it's Madden where he is right back to exactly the same player. Typically the first year back for a player after an ACL is not great and they look like a shell of their former self, whether that is due to explosiveness not fully back yet, them still being afraid to push it as hard as normal because they still hear and feel "weird" things like pops from scar tissue being broken up, or that they haven't had a training camp to get back in the flow of things and get on the same page with the QB, etc. Coming back in the 2nd year after a full off-season and training camp to get back in shape where they aren't focused more on rehab instead of actual training is when things typically get back to normal. Have seen this time and time again, this should not be a surprise to anyone when it happens. It would be more of a surprise if he came back and looked like the same player this year. -

Are you really saying this is conclusive, 100% of scientists and doctors would agree with your opinion? This is a UNIVERSAL truth and any doctor or scientist that believes there are only 2 genders is incorrect? Is this what you are saying? -

Bills are 3-0 with a 2 game lead in the division and they just got a "mini-bye" to help with their injury issues. They head into a home game against one of the worst teams in the league on extra rest. They gotta get Ed and Milano healthy and get the PED Twins and Mad Max back. The few extra days off and the semi-early bye in week 7 should help with that. The Bills for now gotta just keep piling up the wins and knock on wood not get any major injuries. One week at a time... -

Yes, but when every member of the cabinet is proclaiming Jesus and the entire ethos of the right for millennials and Gen Z is to reject the world and embrace Jesus, family, having children.. Yesterday was the beginning of the new right, post-Trump. He was almost a sidenote yesterday. Overshadowed by the movement. And that movement is a rejection of the world and an embrace of God and purpose. So, while not explicitly political, it was the birth of the post-Trump right - driven by a new generation of leaders.
