That’s cool, hometown boy makes good. Trying to tread lightly here, but the country exposed itself with the efforts/success to keep Adam Lambert from rightfully winning. Kid was a treat to watch, again, best performer on that show imo. Got to add, he did his best, just couldn’t buy into him fronting Queen. Glad the kid cashed in on his talent, though.

That has nothing to do with the added skill and athleticism of the players. The skill and athleticism is at an all time high. Old school fundamentals have been replaced with new fundamentals to match the new game that’s being played. If you can’t play D nowadays, you can’t play. Defense is being played…. Teams are a lot more difficult to defend due to the rules changing and the evolution of the 3 point shot. OKC plays great defense and they may win the title with one super star and 1 star (yes, Jalin Williams is a star in the making and he also plays great D) because of how they play team defense. you don’t like it. Totally acceptable. I don’t like it as much as I used to either, but I can still watch the game (I watch nba, college, BIG3 and G-league) and see how the skill level is much greater now than it was in the 80’s. These kids play WAY more ball nowadays and have much higher levels of training and coaching available to them. And it shows.

Putting Green in the HOF would be like putting Steve Kerr in as a player. Name the 6 HOFers playing Sunday night. The game has changed to where it's almost unrecognizable. No defense. Incessant flopping and begging. Fundamentals are gone---traveling and carries are allowed parts of the game now. Worst of all, the 3 point play is the basis of every offense. 20 years ago, 17% of teams shots were 3's. Now every team is over 30%--the average 34%! And they aren't better at it. This was perfectly displayed in Game 1 of the Knicks/Celtics game. Celts took 60 3's.....and hit 15 of them. It's unwatchable. I do like the special treat you left: using "AI" to make your point. I remember this very well. Exactly as you described it too. Apparently a lot of other fans remember the same thing. A lot of my memories from regular season games that long ago are pretty vague and yet we all remember the “CJ Mosley game”. Probably helped that it was the season opener.

I am not sure if the diminishing role of Knox in this offense is due to Knox or Brady. With the everybody eats, Knox's touches have significantly reduced. Knox has made several key plays when put on the field. The Bills moving forward with drafting of Kincaid IMHO was a head scratcher. The Bills already had that in Knox and needed a true WR..not a hybrid TE/WR I am not sure if the diminishing role of Knox in this offense is due to Knox or Brady. I think we can sweep all 3. Miami: Miami took a few steps back for all the steps forward. They have the second best roster in the AFCE new England: sneaky good roster, a chance to succeed with Maye but a sophomore slump is always expected with a NFL QB that isn't a pure blue chip. I could see them during it out with us but their defense can't stop cook and Josh NJ Jets: a team we could overlook that could be a disruptive underdog. If anyone is going to pull off the sweep of us it is them because they're as likely as anyone. The defense is what does it. I can't see a world where we lose both or lose the AFCE. I did last year but think we are better against the AFCE this year despite being stronger against the league last year.
