Over the last few years, it has appeared to me to be more apparent then ever that Mass Media can dish it out when it comes to being negative on folks (maybe even to the point of attacking), but is very thin skinned when someone pushes back negatively on them. This applies to all mass media, but the recent round of negative items about Brandon Bean (the one on WGR about wide receivers and the more recent about PFF grading) and the ongoing rant on WGR about the Saber GM's comments are what inspired me to start this post. I see what the mass media is saying about this and it really points out this situation to me. Is is just me or do you see this as well?

I have a fun story related to this movie. I was a rotary club foreign exchange student in Oruro Bolivia from 7-75 to 7-76. While there this movie was in the theater and I went to see it. it was titled "Tiburon" which means Shark in spanish. all Spanish subtitles. They did NOT translate well all thee English verbage correctly. Some things do get lost in translation lol so wow I love this memory thank you. m

Selective Justice: The Hypocrisy of MAGA
nedboy7 replied to Homelander's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
You came to some absurd conclusions from my post cause you have the brain of a wooden post. Where did I say I look down on painters. Where did I say I don’t talk to this guy. Get a grip and stop trying to create angles that have nothing to do with reality. Maybe try to make a real argument and you can get started on your journey of talking to people you don’t agree with. I read your garbage. You think you try to understand the other side? -

UPDATE: ISRAEL v IRAN - Ceasefire reached?
muppy replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Greetings. I needed to cut away all the links of support for your position. I am here to challenge your thinking just a wee bit. I don't think that the people outside of PPP chatrooms (most of the time that would be me) really care about laptops as compared to BOMBIMG OF IRAN come on now. You get stuck in the position of defending Everything and cannot accept that maybe Just MAYBE there are people who will scoff at CNN for screwing up this HUGELY IMPORTANT WORLD EVENT laptop? gimme a break Joe general American doesn't give many fuqs about a laptop aren't ALL politicians sleazy? YES a Bombing of Iran and they screw the pooch on the story? That's BAD for them trust me. laptop *raspberries* come on now u catch my drift. I think on this one you are wrong thats' what I think -
It’s just that you were so enthusiastic about buying the dip during the Biden era and then you had no interest because of how Trump was treating our allies. Don’t believe me? Just search your own posts. It’s ok. You effed yourself. Try not to do it again because of politicians. Are you the one that started a thread about “stagflation being the best case scenario”? Any update on that?

Learn to write a bill in the proper way. As Frankish said, they can also override the parliamentarian at any time. -

This is the first real warning bell that the economy is going to hit a downturn. A cooling economy and high inflation is no bueno -
Capitalism is theft! Everything is just so easy with other people's money. The people that voted for this guy just think its unfair that other people have money and they don't. This is real bad news for NYC, a place I really love. Hopefully the state has some say. There won't be any new apartments built if there are no profits to be made by the evil landlords. The public transit will be ruined if they charge nothing. This clown is going to have to face reality real fast. The market would of hit THAT record high much earlier had it not been for the stupid trade war. We are just making up lost ground here

Absolutely and though it doesn’t belong here, this has schadenfreude written all over it when looking back at those prone to hysteria and overreaction. Maybe you can relate. https://www.cnn.com/2025/06/27/investing/stock-market-record-dow-sandp On April 8, when stocks were on the verge of plunging into a bear market, few Wall Street experts were predicting that the market would hit a record high just 80 days later. That’s what the market appears to be set to do Friday. The S&P 500 is on pace to open in record territory. If it closes there, the market will set its first all-time high since February 19. I feel awful for those that didn’t buy the dip because TRUMP.

This came up on my YouTube feed. Hearkens back to the days when the defense was so good that it was more fun to watch the Bills when the other team had the ball.
