I'm not looking at all 32 pages. I'm sure it's been said.. but it's not lost on me that against a great defense, if the Bills just kicked very makeable FG's on the final three drives, it's likely a win. I know most everyone had no issue going for 4th and 1, down 23-16 with like 9 mins left but not kicking the FG there ultimately doomed them.

Yeah, I don’t think McDermott is the worst coach. He’s average and the roster sucks. It’s tough to “coach them up.” For me, it’s always been as much about a new voice because I didn’t see much downside. This year has been worse than I thought possible with that schedule. I thought that in a horrible year 12-5 and a division title was the floor. 🤦🏻♂️

The state of the talent around Allen is indefensible. The defensive play has been average to well below that for years. I do think it's time for a coaching change. I doubt it will happen.

Yeah, I'm done. I've been done with the Sabres for years - don't care, don't watch don't follow (I said at the time that the tank wouldn't work because this is Buffalo - why would anyone think that would work?). I said after last year's AFCCG that i needed to step away. I am furious today. Furious that this regime (McBeane) will continue in perpetuity. Furious that even if Brady leaves, they'll bring in/promote some nobody to run the offense. Furious that we are wasting JA17 - He'll never win a championship here. Furious that I'm 61, and I will never see a person wearing a charging Buffalo raise the Lombardi. Furious that I fell for this BS again. Furious that after all of the investment in the defense - draft picks, FA signings, etc. that this pathetic group of losers who don't know (or maybe care) how to tackle show up week after week after week.... THAT defense in those ridiculous red helmets and bad pajamas is what you want - great talent evaluation on that side of the ball. Furious that our GM went on a local radio station and admonished the host for saying that a #1 wide receiver was a necessity. Furious that a crap team like Houston (and Atlanta and Miami for that matter) B word slapped us all night and NO ONE did a thing about it, except go the to blue tent to nurse their sore balls after repeated kicks. Furious that they're wasting how many millions of cap space on Curtis Samuel who apparently is made of very thin glass. Furious that once again, we're saying, "Wait 'til next year."

Full assimilation into William and Mary football complete -
I’ll decide after the season though the needle is pointing that way as it stands. You should only get so many kicks at the can with #17 as your QB.

Yes, same here. I didn't drink a lot last night and woke up feeling hungover. And like someone who slept only couple of hours -
He also let us all know in his previous post game presser that he embraces imperfection and cool with making mistakes here and there because hey it’s normal; it happens! Rather at least hear him say something like “I need to work on pre-snap penalties going forward” knowing he seems to be leading the OL in those flags this season. The irony of him calling out Coleman last week after saying that stuff wasn’t lost on me.

Haha. I still think Sean McDermott can coach. I don't buy that he couldn't coach a team to a Superbowl. But he can't coach this team, built this way, to a Superbowl and while I accept at least at the strategic level he has an input into the roster build he isn't the one responsible for the talent acquisition or for selecting the pieces for this roster. And the roster is not good enough. I don't see how it gets better with a GM who is very good at finding guys but very bad at finding THE guy.

I agree on Beane. I question whether Terry blows the whole thing (McD included) up unless Josh puts his foot down. What I can see happening, based on no inside knowledge, is Josh getting frustrated, and Terry making a simple, safe move (Belichick, proven winner [I suppose, if one discounts Brady and video] and new defensive staff; Daboll, keep some holdovers on the offensive staff) to placate Josh and to mitigate risk. If McD does stay, then one has to wonder who the sacrificial lamb will be. The bet here is Brady and the S/C staff, with some changes on the defensive side of the ball that might not include Babich.

Most of the time, the nervousness is that things could get worse. But with Allen as our QB, they really cannot get very bad at all. And the upside is that we can get a FO team that can draft better , focus resources in the correct areas and push us over the top.

That's the rumor in Twitter spaces was McDermott took the play calling over in the 2nd half but I can't confirm anything. Regardless tho it's on McDermott. It's his responsibility for the ridiculous 1st half defense vs a Texans offense that is basically trash -

Waking up this morning hasn’t been! -
The biggest miss is they have reloaded on defense this offseason, and it's gotten worse. Bad contracts, really bad drafting and aging vets. And the fundementals are just awful, it's a complete poo bag. And then it's what the heck they'll do on the offensive side of the ball. EDIT: I don't think Beane/McD deserve to solve those problems.
-
True, though Ray Davis gifted them 7 that they weren’t going to get so I guess it all evens out

The owner of this team owns the most pathetic NHL franchise that hasn’t made the playoffs in over a decade. What makes you think lack of playoffs moves the needle for pegs??? He got his stadium with PSL’s effectively selling out the stadium for years to come. No reason now to put a product in the field that is any good.

Even at the time, I felt that would come back to torment. Prater was perfect otherwise but that was a key miss. Could have just went for the game tying field goal on the last drive down 3 instead of 4. C’est la vie
