  1. Past hour
  2. Hey where’s that guy who has to say things for the fourth time about practice squad signing laws?
  3. The Saints purposely restructured his contract for him so he would clear waivers and become a free agent. Cooks turned 32 in September, for perspective Diggs turns 32 in four days. Cooks has been with a lot of teams, it appears to be money issues, or odd man out, not behavior. He has been traded for some pretty high draft picks, but that was a while ago. Had some good years when on good team with good quarterback. This site is more depressing than watching the games. Before the trade deadline they could have traded for him, now they got him for nothing. Either way it would have been the same reaction here,
  4. Disagree. Profoundly inept at scientific chart interpretation.
  5. I think he’s about 2M if I read correctly. Thats 2M we can’t roll over but I think we’re cutting a lot of dead weight next year anyway.
  6. The thing that makes it such a shame is that it’s the first time he’s ever been profound in any way. Dammit all!!
  7. Any contract details? I hope this doesn’t hurt our cap for next season. If I’m being honest I’ve lost all hope on this year.
  8. Wow. He's only 303 mesh routes away from 10,000.
  9. It seems to me that this season if a player has a breakout game where they dominate we have a very good chance to win, Coleman, Kincaid, Cook and Shavers have won games that they took over. We did lose in Shakir’s best game last week, alas the fumble. The problem is that is outside of Cook nobody can be consistent and constantly produce the goods. I’d be happy if Cooks has, say, 2x 85 yard games which we win for the rest of regular season. That would be a positive contribution and we can wish for more. Maybe I am too optimistic but Cooks is now playing with Josh Allen and he is no scrub with 60 touchdowns in his career and a former first round pick. Fingers crossed. It is noteworthy that in a players versus coaching debate, it looks like that coaching has “won”. Looks like Moore will be cut imminently and the only WR’s we would have had for 13 weeks are Tyrell Shavers and Shakir. Everyone else has either been injured or suspended at one point or another. Got to trust that the game planning in the passing game can evolve and improve somehow. Will we ever make in game offensive adjustments that a layman like me can appreciate?!
  10. Also middle school English teachers I hear... Careful Finding!
  11. It would be the ultimate troll job to have 8 WRs on the active roster. Everybody eats!
  12. Well said and I think we're on the same page.
  13. We gonna put Walter White to shame, ya dig? Dont test Chris Brown's gangsta, mane.
  14. The playoffs are headed towards life support. Can’t fritter away games waiting for Keon to “get it”. His 40 time isn’t the only thing about him that seems a bit slow.
  15. I have been cringing for an hour plus at Chris brown making these jokes and comments. We know they're coming.
  16. This won't end well. He'll either do nothing at all or do something detrimental. Just a feeling....based on repeated experience.
  17. Won't do anything, signing washed WRs every year.
  18. Gotcha - Well DK wasn't really pennies, it was not only high draft pick but as over pay and insane contract he isn't worth. No argument from me that he would be the best WR on the team on the outside, but I don't think that he is worth what he cost the Steelers. They would have been better off keeping Pickens actually. And yes, Pickens now looks like a value based on how he is playing now in Dallas, but a 3rd and 5th isn't really pennies when you are talking about a guy who had multiple disciplinary issues with the Steelers that included being late to games, missing meetings, lack of effort on the field when not getting the ball, unsportsmanlike penalties that cost the Steelers wins at end of games, etc. Lets be real, they needed Pickens as bas as anyone and still got rid of him. Would I personally have taken a chance on Pickens - yes...but I also get why a lot of teams shied away as his production had not been what it is now and he had a lot of issues, which Pickens himself admitted were a problem and lack of maturity. A 3rd and a 5th is not pennies for a player who had shown flashes but not been consistent and been a bad locker room guy and teammate. Its always easier to look back and reevaluate using hindsight though. I want to see the WR room improve as much as anyone, but lost in the context of that want is that there have not really been great opportunities to do so since we traded Diggs. Options to do so have been thin and Beane tried with Cooper last year and again at the trade deadline this year to get a real WR1 outside threat. Cooper didnt have the fire anymore and lost a step, and no one we went after at the deadline this year got moved. All that being said, I think the bigger issues are the OC, our defensive scheme, some of the decisions on other roster positions, etc. So as far as I am concerned, its win the SB this year or fire everyone.
  19. Maybe next year, for better or worse, when Mike McDaniel is the OC. I don't blame Brady to the degree that some here do. They've built a WR corps where the two most talented players are intellectually challenged at football and the rest are juiceless if not useless. But I think him being a dead scapegoat walking is one thing McDermott and Beane may still agree on.
  20. Anyone have links to these clips? I’d like to watch lol
  21. Cook and Cooks. We be cookin', ya dig?
  22. Joe hasn't posted here in many hours, and last we knew, he had an air of sadness around him that can only be described as profound. I'm concerned, not profoundly, but probably in the "moderately" category. I guess I would say that I'm moderately concerned that Fergie was profoundly sad and is now ostensibly absent. Prayers all around to everyone, even the ***** and the people who so-label them.
