Indy spanking teams like the Titans doesn’t worry me. Beating the Chargers caught my eye, but they also lost to the Rams and squeaked one out against the Cardinals. Given their schedule the second half of the season, I’d be shocked if the Colts finish better than 13-4. I don’t know that they have an easy out in their final 9 games and I don’t see them going better than 6-3 in that stretch.

Plausible X/#1 receiver trade candidates — are there any?
Maine-iac replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
No draft capitol. Just sign Robbie Chosen off the Commanders practice squad. Guy ran a 4.36 40 coming out. He's had good production in the NFL and had 4 catches when the Commanders called him up just a week ago. Not my favorite WR but AJ Brown isn't available and Chosen has the speed and experience to maybe make a difference where the rest of the 4.6 guys we have do not. Worst case scenario it doesn't cost us a thing other than a roster spot. -
10/26/25 GAMEDAY Bills at Panthers post game thread

They sure shut the haters up. Not! - Vs. washed up QB Andy Dalton - Panthers is known that they couldn't stop the run. Just like us. Great to get the win though. Got to get the next one vs. Chiefs on Sunday to truly make up for our recent back to back losses. -

I also like that Hancock has 4.4 speed, we need more of that especially at safety and corner, seems like we’re finally getting it. -
But I'm not the general manager and those guys are under contract signed by beane You just want to cut our defensive captain and starting defensive end? Or trade them and try to get somebody to pick up their cap.. either of those would be tough to accomplish That's a front office miscalculation of cap space
-
Again- the Giants won because of their defense. They had more receiving talent than us currently, Eli Manning's offensive contributions notwithstanding. Top QB contracts do not preclude their teams from acquiring good wideouts. We just prioritize defense over offense

Some observations and questions regarding the Bills passing game.
Billz4ever replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
Probably exactly what you see from Spags next week combined with different blitz packages to put even more pressure on Josh. The Falcons' blitzes gave Josh and the oline problems. Expect that from KC in spades. -
I get where you’re coming from. Elite QBs would have to elevate the talent around them etc. But this group is truly awful. Keon has been such a disappointment. They were able to trade for a bonafide #1 guy in Diggs. Maybe it’ll happen again.

We spent $40M AAV on Rousseau, Bernard, and Palmer so it doesn't exactly take a lot of imagination to work out the rest.
-
Listen I want the best wide receivers possible I don't know how it's possible under our salary cap or drafting position I just don't see it an all pro walk-in the door.. unless we move a good player in the off season like Oliver and a pick We had John Brown and Cole Beasley be great pro personnel acquisitions.. like we need to work that magic again

Elite coaching can mask poor WR cores. Elite playmakers can mask poor coaching. Josh has middle tier coaching with poor playmakers (in the WR room, mainly outside). Of course it’s not going to look right. Allen is probably the best QB we’ll ever have in our lifetime, but he’s not a magician.

Brady had one of the greatest TEs of all time catching passes for him. And Edelman who for some reason still doesn't get the respect he deserves. Edelman was Brady's WR version of Travis Kelce in the sense that he could read defenses as well as a QB and methodically go to the exact spot Brady expected him to. Not an all time player but a great player and several tiers better than any pass catcher on our team this year. Anyways Brady was a better QB than Allen (or any other QB in history) so he shouldn't even be the point of reference. But I bring him up to say that yes even the GOAT needed some help. People thought his career was over when he was throwing to the likes of Phillip Dorsett and Mohammed Sanu and N'Keal Harry. Shockingly he revitalized his career when throwing to the likes of Mike Evans and Chris Godwin and Antonio Brown (pre-psychotic break). The answer is plainly obvious and some people still can't accept it. Luckily I don't think even Beane is THAT stubborn. His WGR rant notwithstanding he isn't stupid, he certainly isn't asking Josh how his marriage with Hailee is going, so I expect him to make a trade. Then the passing offense will miraculously look good just like it did after we added Cooper last year. I'm old enough to remember when threads like this one were created after the losing streak of Baltimore to Houston.

The Giants won a super bowl with 2,000 yards from their wide receivers We're going to get more than that .... Josh Allen is the most talented It doesn't mean he can't be better.. he can be the greatest ever... Now he has to finish that because he has the talent Listen I would love to all pro wide receivers but we don't have the draft position to draft those guys .. let alone the salary cap to really sign them in free agency.. Josh Allen knows that when he's signing his 350 million deal

Some observations and questions regarding the Bills passing game.
Billz4ever replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
Basically every receiver not named Shakir is a problem. We need a true X receiver and while Palmer is serviceable, he's still not the answer and with him injured it's moot anyway. Keon is a big slot guy and nobody will convince me otherwise. Trying to put him on the outside doesnt work and the proof is in the pudding. It's trying to put a square peg in a round hole. -
Agree It's simple Not nearly enough offensive talent on staff or on field Been saying it
-
Thank you! This idea that his wife telling him "he's more than a Football player" definitively means he's not putting in as much work and focus into Football is ridiculous. There's a million ways you can take that statement. Maybe she's saying he can help people more. Maybe that means he doesn't have to let his performance on the field dictate how he feels about himself. His performance on the field has nothing to do with who he goes home to at night. She has no effect on his work in the building during the week. And she was with him all last season when he was MVP.

I looked into QBR and how it was calculated a few weeks back. It’s nonsense.

Tom Brady won six super bowls with New England with three different wide receivers being named to the pro bowl A consistent line with pass catching running backs and the ability to move the chains was far more important to his team in January then just throwing for 5,000 yards Tom Brady had the ultimate power move of being one of the greatest ever and getting to go wherever he wanted.. even Peyton Manning won a super bowl with a dead arm because he got to choose his landing spot of the best roster Tom Brady got the same and parlayed it into another super bowl.. even though he had a live arm he still went to the best youngest fastest strongest most experienced roster available

Bills- Panthers Snap Counts
strive_for_five_guy replied to Sierra Foothills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well there were 61 snaps by my count. It appears Benford, Bishop, and Thompson didn’t play the last two series, in which there were 7 snaps. Looks like Ingram came in for Benford at that point. That said, maybe there were 7 plays where both White and Hairston needed to be on the field at the same time along with Benford/Ingram, due to whatever formation the Panthers were throwing at them. -
They def got banged up as the game went on (which is nothing new for them this year) but they def haven’t been one of the worst OLs in the league especially recently parity is strong in the nfl and it seems like people just assume teams that have been bad the last few years are just as bad at everything and it’s not always the case haha total season overall they’re average at worst I’d say…last few weeks they’ve been good though up front especially in run blocking
-
I just can't believe how many people in this thread are actually trying to say his marriage is somehow screwing up his mind. Come on with this crap. Did anybody on here watch the Chiefs the past couple years? Their WRs were awful and the great Pat Mahomes and Andy Reid led an offense that was outside the top 10 in PPG. It's not some big riddle. Tom Brady left the Pats because he was sick of his woeful supporting cast, he went to a great offense and immediately won another Super Bowl. Too many Bills fans and podcasters are trying to puzzle out any possible reason for the passing game issues other than the glaringly obvious one. You simply cannot function as a top tier passing offense with bottom tier pass catching talent.

He abused Trey Smith last year in the regular season game.

Wish they could of employed this with Ed today. Honestly I don’t think they have any clue and playing it week by week. I did use to trust the process but between the last few years in draft, beans WGR comments about a WR, constant crapping bed in playoffs, the process s just words and nothing more. The guys we put in for the guys we are supposedly resting looked better today.
