  1. Past hour
  2. When people reference too many injuries on Defense, what exactly are we saying? Hoecht and Oliver are legit losses. Big pieces of what they want to do on the DL. Absolutely an issue. Landon Jackson couldn’t even get active for half the season. Taylor Rapp might have been a decent duo with how Bishop is playing, but would Bishop have become this player with Rapp? Terrel Bernard will be back and needed to sit anyway. Bosa honestly should follow the Bernard example and sit until the playoffs. Unless his wrist can heal while playing, he’s not helpful out there with that injury. But he’s playing or will be back. So im to believe the Defense with a lucrative extension to CB1 Benford, plus a RD1 CB next to him, plus a RD2 stud Safety in Bishop, plus a RD3 LB in Williams with recently extended TB coming back and a healthy Shaq Thompson to with Bosa, Rousseau, Epenesa, $14M in vet DT’s with Jones & Ogunjobi a high draft pick DT and early 4th DT is incapable of giving us adequate defensive play in the postseason? All because we’re down Hoecht and Oliver, plus a couple others that don’t move the needle. Thats not a MASH unit. A MASH unit is what Detroit had last year with over half their starters out including Aidan Hutchinson.
  3. Not sure if any NFL team is interested in Joe Brady besides Raiders and Cleveland Browns. They can have him.
  4. Please just let me be snarky. No need for real facts here.
  5. Pete Carrol is going to be one and done. They hired a 70 year old to win now, even traded for his old QB and they got blown out at home today by Cleveland. it was a hire that made no sense at the time and it’s impossible to run it back with how the season has gone. There is simply nothing to build on this season. Fee nice players, but that culture is rotten
  6. Lucy is the 1st person I think of and is my pick. She’s a Mt. Rushmore lock. Was the driving force for the boom of TV sales in the ‘50’s. I still often bust out, even after watching the entire “I Love Lucy” series every winter for decades. Only other sitcom I have made that kind of commitment to watch is Seinfeld, which of course I laugh at non stop most every time.
  7. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I'm finally relaxing about this season. I cranked the numbers on players lost to injury and am amazed that we are competing at all. I feel like if this team can sneak into the playoffs and get healthy it could be a very exciting playoffs. If not, Beane/McD and Co have a film room of video showing the holes in the team, specifically on defense and WR. I'm to the point where lets just see what happens. Maybe I feel this way a little because of my college teams (IU & UGA) are in the hunt to win in all.
  8. The Bills core is Allen, Oliver, Rousseau, Dawkins and Brown. The Chiefs comparable core is Mahomes, Jones, Kelce and Smith and McDuffie. Their edge has largely been that they still had superstars who were there before Mahomes arrived.........the Bills do not have superstars who preceded Allen. It's been harder for both teams to find those once they had the superstar QB putting them in SB contention every year. But as far as drafting in general their success since McBeane arrived has been pretty close.
  9. My problem with missing the playoffs, getting a better draft pick - it’s not going to force any necessary front office changes. It’s not worth debating bc Pegula isn’t firing anyone. Because of Josh we have a punchers chance in the playoffs, but we know bc of this roster we aren’t good enough. Good. But not good enough. Too many injuries on defense and the worst collection of weapons for Josh since 2018. We also might have coordinators not cut out for this. Good. But overmatched. I don’t know what the answer is. But I know if I’m the owner best solution might be - I waste zero time firing Beane and getting someone that has 3-5 years to figure it out. Then, if by Josh’s final act (age 34-39 seasons) that new regime hasn’t figured it out - I can hire another for one last chance to do so. Clock is ticking Terry.
  10. Watching Benford go down in the AFCCG and Elam coming in was like watching our SB chances go up in smoke. I had little faith we'd win that game with Elam playing. Funny how it took Dallas so long to figure out what we already knew.
  11. I don't really think he's the problem in that team filled to the brim with problems. I wonder if Brady had any say in it.
  12. He was plenty successful in Philly. The production he squeezed out of Nick Foles and March Sanchez at QB was insane in turning those Eagles into the best conditioned team the NFL has ever seen. That training set their "players coach" Pederson up to steal a SB from NE soon after Chip's departure(with Foles, no less). The team that should be interested are the Jets. Not so much for his offensive design but because they have done a roster cleansing of sorts and Aaron Glenn could have Kelly come in and implement his Oregon training tactics to help give them a physical edge in a division with Allen and Maye otherwise blocking them. They gotta' find their angle to make noise in the division because it's highly unlikely they find an Allen or Maye of their own. The only star left to appease is Garrett Wilson and he's an Ohio State guy so Kelly is likely to have his blessing.
  13. Stafford is going to have a big lead for MVP after this game (although I gotta say a certain QB doubled his TD production against this very team). I've been a very big fan of his since Detroit, so I'm cool with it. It should cement his gold jacket as well.
  14. Please don’t get creative Beane. Just burn it down
  15. If Kincaid can stay healthy, I think I’d rather have Benford, Rousseau, Shakir and Kincaid. Kincaid seemingly can’t do that though and it’s to the point where I’m not hopeful he ever will. The postseason difference between them and us has been coaching and injuries.
  16. You said KC and buffalo mirror each other in drafting That they had " a head start with hill, Kelce & Jones" That's not true as their new core is McDuffie, Rice, Worthy & Karlaftis. I think McDuffie, Worthy, Rice & Karlaftis are better than Shakir, Kincaid, Benford & Rousseau. I will grant it's not a massive gap. But the point stands that the Elam and Coleman picks are seriously hurting their ceiling as a team. Replace Coleman with Worthy, and Elam with a Kyle Gordon, maybe we are in the super bowl The margin is that thin because Allen and Mahomes cancel each other out I will be rooting for shaq because he is a very tough player. And we need it right now
  17. He’d be on a rookie deal for a year and a cheap 5th year. He’d have 2 years to prove he’s worth the money. I expect there to be some trade options. I only brought him up because I know the Bills really liked him coming out of USC/Pitt and he’s still only 23 if you can believe that
  18. Intense metaphysical perplexities keep popping up on this board lately. 🤔
  19. He's a WR2, so if we do sign him, the McBeane salary curve states we have to pay him like a WR1.
  20. I’m not convinced Beane is above average anymore. The rapid rate at which this roster has deteriorated is a shock to the system. His recent extensions, Cook aside, look awful. We have an insane amount of money tied up in aging/oft-injured players who are liabilities on the field. His Drafts have been mediocre at best. OL is his redeeming quality outside picking JA, but who knows if that’s even him.. might be 90% Aaron Kromer. We all knew Basham would bust. Fans didnt want Keon. Fans questioned Elam’s fit. We all knew Samuel would be hurt all the time. Landon Jackson has an extensive injury history. Same with Bosa. Hoecht coming off PED’s which historically lends itself to greater injury risk. It’s like they’re addicted to injury prone players. Josh likes to throw to separators at WR, so we will give almost none of that plus an insane amount of investment at TE. I feel like I’m describing self sabotage, not an above average GM. If Lamar gets healthy, maybe.. but I feel like people saying this haven’t watched them. Their Offense, and Lamar specifically, look terrible. Worse than ours.
  21. Like a tree falling in the forest, nobody will ever really know!
  22. Rams/Ravens
  23. Before McDuffie there was Tre White. Their career starts run pretty parallel. McDuffie finished tied in the NFL DPOY(22nd) voting with Christian Benford last season. McDuffie is now a slot CB..........which basically excuses him from any "best CB in the NFL" talk but he probably is the best slot CB in the NFL. Bills day 3 pick Taron Johnson once held that claim. You getting my drift about Bills CB draft pick success or are you still mad at Beane for not drafting McDuffie instead of Elam when McDuffie was already off of the board?
  24. He didn’t even “go cheaper” he just completely missed on Samuel and Palmer and his one draft pick, Coleman is a dud. He should’ve took multiple “cheap” shots in the draft instead of all the swings and misses on the defensive line (Carter over Troy Franklin, sanders over burden, even passing multiple times on late round picks like Horton and Tez Johnson)
  25. Yeah I've just about gotten there myself. I mean I'm still hoping they win every game, you'll never catch me rooting against the Bills. But if we lose enough games to miss the playoffs it's not gonna bother me as long as it forces the necessary changes. Mentally I have already written off this year.
