  1. Past hour
  2. No. It would dilute the product way too much. Not even enough good players as there are, now we are going to add another 400+ players??
  3. That sucks. Keep the goofy football goofy.
  4. No need. The NFL has higher ratings in Canada than the CFL. They already chose the NFL. Imagine the Dallas Cowboys flying up to Regina for a Sunday Night game against the Roughriders. Not gonna happen.
  5. I doubt there would be any Canadian province that would be stupid enough to give public funds to an NFL owner with the CFL still around.
  6. I hear Bon Jovi wants the TOR franchise.
  7. Prohaska breaks down some of Hawes blocking. Great looks. This kid is a blocking machine. Couldn’t help but watch the OL function as a cohesive unit during the play breakdowns. Edwards is going to get 10-15M if he keeps playing like he is. What a massive dude. Makes cybo look small. Ant, if you’re reading- less breaks in between the plays. Gotta be tough to do a live show of breaking down plays and keeping a good flow, I’m sure
  8. McDermott doesn't have the balls to add a guy like this. It's unfortunate because he'd be a massive upgrade.
  9. Jalen Ramsey (please don't shoot the messenger). 3 time 1st team all-pro and won a Super Bowl. Like him or hate him, the peak for his career was excellent. Maybe not a 1st ballot guy, but certainly in the HOF conversation.
  10. NFL basically insists on new stadiums as that increases the NFLs valuation. Either an owner has deep enough pockets to build a new stadium on their own or they would need public funds. If they don’t get either I doubt they would get a team. I don’t think the NFL is worried about people choosing the CFL over them or the TV contract money going to the CFL over them haha. CFL is more likely to fold than to be merged into the NFL imo.
  11. Who revived you? Kudos to that person. EDIT: and how did you reach the gas pedal?
  12. Yep - the Colts COULD very well be 4-0 come 7 PM or so on Sunday, but they have a tough task ahead with the Rams.
  13. Maybe the CFL becomes an NFL minor league after merging with the spring football league (whatever it is called this year).
  14. For some reason this skit from the golden age of SNL seems apropos what with the scarfing down of all burgers in sight lol…
  15. I’m not sure I agree. 1) If you just add expansion teams, you would have to build all new stadiums. What new franchise owner wants to fork over a couple billion to do that? And no way the local governments will hand over money to compete against a Canadian league. 2) You will have people who feel they need to chose between CFL and NFL. Not to mention TV contracts. Merge the league and there is no other option.
  16. After that, it will be gratuitous calls for the Kansas City Chiefs.
  17. The only potential problem that I have with this Einstein is, would a team in Toronto take away fans from our fan base? Buffalo is pretty much Canada’s team..
  18. Hey, did anybody mention yet that this is a trap game? Anybody…?
  19. Thanks. I think a lot of people missed this news today. The theory is that they are slow-walking the changes to get Canadian fans acclimated and the 4th down will be next.
  20. The problem is, he’d be in for 3 quarters anyway, might as well just give him 4. There is NO way, Daboll could go in that locker room and say “Russ gives us the best chance to win” after the first 3 weeks and have any prayer of keeping the team playing for him. It was over for Wilson, now you had to choose between 1:1 TD to INT or the Rookie. He must believe Dart can do more than Jameo at this point or at least it’s what ownership wants to see and it’s his best chance to stay employed. I don’t put a lot of stake in the idea Daboll “developed” Josh, so much as it was Josh was on the rise, they added talent around him and gave him a relatively easy system to run for his skill set and it all worked.
  21. Come back to me when they add a 4th down.
  22. Doubt the NFL would be interested. Probably more profitable to grant an expansion team to Toronto and Vancouver and collect the associated fees. IMO they are trying to have it look more like American Football so more Americans will want to watch it on TV.
  23. That’s very interesting, thanks for posting. I wouldn’t be opposed to the idea, myself.
  24. The GNP of Canada isn’t enough to pay all the franchise fees they would charge those teams.
