How much did you pay for gas and groceries today?
Homelander replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
A 50% tariff on Brazil is steep. It’s unclear if this is just a negotiating tactic to pressure Brazil into easing up on Bolsonaro’s criminal prosecution, but if it goes through, expect coffee and steel prices to spike. -
Ranking NFL WR, TE, RB groups for 2025: Bills 28/32?
Kirby Jackson replied to Lionel Hutz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yep. Any weighting of WR isn’t going to help the Bills. They aren’t good at that position comparatively. -
PSL Pricing/Seat Selection Discussion
Kirby Jackson replied to Spiderweb's topic in The Stadium Wall
That’s probably true. They’ve certainly already cut the deals with the parties that they’ve worked with for a long time. They probably have 8-10 partners that they’re working with and have limited the number of total seats between them. I have a good friend that works for a company that’s the largest reseller on the college side. I’ll try to get some info from him as to how it’s being handled. On the college side they just make giant donations to the athletic department and then buy from there. It’s kind of PSLish -
Thunderstruck is a great intro song for the grid iron, That one will always be welcomed back The shout song is more for TD celbrations etc.. IMO

They knew about both before signing. In Hoecht’s case, he was notified earlier and it was disclosed and discussed with the Bills up front. In the other case, he found out prior to signing, disclosed it to the team, and the contract was renegotiated before signing. Agreed we do not know how either will perform and how big a deal this will ultimately be, but nobody was blindsided or lied to here.

PSL Pricing/Seat Selection Discussion
Kirby Jackson replied to Spiderweb's topic in The Stadium Wall
They monitor on ticket exchange as well as other popular sites. It’s really easy (if they care). It is rare that they would care if someone is selling 2 or 4 to a game. That’s why they have those platforms. I think that the reseller issue is a MUCH bigger issue for concerts and other 1 off events. They artificially change the market and limit demand so much. -
So, did you have a date last night? How did it go? .

Yeah, he does not have a “Dad bod”. He is out of shape for a world class athlete which is what he is supposed to be. He was out of shape last year and it showed in his play.

PSL Pricing/Seat Selection Discussion
Kirby Jackson replied to Spiderweb's topic in The Stadium Wall
They would already be season ticket holders. Resellers are more stable during a downswing. Lots of the current base going through are already resellers. Surely they won’t be kicked out. Now, they may limit them some but they won’t revoke their seats. Those people are stable during a downswing. If, and when, the Bills cool off, PSLs and tickets will be dumped. That happens all of the time. The resellers don’t dump in those times. In fact, they may add more. In exchange, you allow them to keep what they have when you’re hot. You can’t just go to them when the tickets have no demand. During the drought, the Bills had thousands and thousands of seats owned by resellers. My assumption is that they still own a lot. -
The whole “there’s a time and place” line always seems to show up when someone tells an uncomfortable truth too soon for the people who need to hear it most. The cartoon isn’t mocking the victims - it’s criticizing the leadership that failed them. That is the time and place. And if the goal is to prevent future tragedies, the worst thing we can do is stay silent out of deference to the feelings of those in power. Silence protects the status quo — just like the status quo is kids being gunned down in classrooms while nothing changes. Also, calling it a “cheap shot” ignores the fact that this administration and Republicans have a track record of undermining climate policy, emergency preparedness, and local infrastructure investment. If you want receipts, they exist - but I’m not sure you’re actually looking for policy analysis. You’re just mad someone pointed a finger. If a cartoon can spark that much outrage, maybe it hit a little too close to home.

There’s a time and a place. This was neither. Little kids died. If his point is that it was caused - or at least not mitigated - by the actions of the current administration that the families of the victims voted for (which is clearly his “point,”) an op ed piece in a few months would be somewhat more appropriate. But that would also require him to point to specific cuts that happened before the flood that added to the death toll, rather than a cheap shot in a cartoon. But oh boy did he get some clicks.

Asante Samuel (Sr) speaks out on the Dolphins...
FLFan replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Given his utter failure to find competent leadership for the Sabres, I would think Terry would be very reluctant to mess with success when it comes to the Bills. Both Beane and McDermott have a very long leash. Bills fans should be very reluctant as well. Change often goes badly in professional sports and this owner has experienced more failure than success. -
Ok so no one was at fault. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
