  2. “There is a season to reap and a season to sow” There is an ebb and flow to every great team, every great career. Watching a bonafide first ballot HOF QB join your team, especially when it isn’t clear that the HOF status is a possibility, is gold. It is a time to be awestruck and giddy. Watching said QB come into his own before your own eyes and lead a team is gold. These are the seasons sports fans dream of. Watching a QB of that caliber be squandered and be saddled with a sub par team and/or coaching feels criminal. Not being overly enthusiastic is within the range of normal human reaction. I always remember the Seinfeld line, “ cockeyed optimist” when I read that people looked at this team, this offseason , and thought they were SB quality. The objective eye test pointed to a middling season. What we couldn’t know was Josh was going to regress/ have a down year( for whatever reason ….him or coaching) . That fact alone feels like a gut punch. Every year doesn’t start from square one. The expectations of each and every team in any sport, and league are based on the previous year(s) outcomes to some degree. That being a factor in the level of enjoyment felt seems perfectly logical.
  3. The sound of silence is stressing me for some reason- I know this org doesn’t really have leaks like it used to with upcoming moves but we gotta do something….right? sad part is we need a lot more then just something
  4. I’ve not read all 19 pages of this thread, but Thomas had 1282 yards last year so not sure why they would want to trade him. He could be a very valuable, cheap, and young talent so I say go for it. Most of these threads are guys over the hill, or not what we need. We need an X, and if Palmer comes back, we would have two outside threats to compliment Shakir and Kinkaid. I underestimated Cook this year, and now he looks like a steal at $12 mil.
  5. Yes, that front office could evaluate talent. Then Polian left to Indianapolis to win a SB. I'm naturally pessimistic, driven a lot by the 90s Bills. This could be the year, but I doubt it. We had a far better shot the 13 second year. Not enough difference makers and poor schemes. This team has a QB good enough to win it all. But the offense has a poor WR situation other than Shakir, who is a good slot guy. The offensive design / philosophy (which I think is as desired by McDermott) is fine if they can run, but lacks downfield explosiveness. That's a big problem when you can't run or get behind. The defense lacks size and difference makers, but honestly might be better now than they've been all year: 1) Teams can clearly run on Oliver and Jones / Milano and Bernard / Rapp and Bishop. I am perhaps irrationally hopeful that Hoecht, Oj-wan, and Walker will be as good or better. I think Thompson is our best LB right now. Heck, maybe Hancock and/or Poyer can work out next to Bishop. 2) The passing defense could also be trending up. Rousseau, Hoecht, Walker, and Bosa might be able to generate pressure (it's really unknown, Carolina's OL had major injury issues). Hairston can play man to man. We'll know more later Sunday, because that's how we can beat the Chiefs as Philly proved in the SB. Pressure and contain Mahomes and play tight / confusing coverage behind that.
  6. I also hate this. The fact that the Bills have beat them so many times in the regular season and then lost close games to them in the playoffs just means the teams have been really really close all these years and those playoff games could have gone either way. Sometimes close games are decided by a single play, luck, once in a century miracles that occur within 13 secs etc
  7. K.J. Hamler will be getting a call.
  8. Do you have a better video of this to back up this claim? I agree that he is not cutting it but I don't see your claim in this video. There is like one shot of him not clapping. Who else wasn't?
  9. Bad news - Chiefs will probably throw it 50 times. Good news - 70% chance of rain and pretty cold. Might slow them down a bit. If Bills control the clock, I think they have a chance
  10. It’s not only that about OJ, but in 1973 when he went for 2003 yards, it was the most all time on a per game average. The 2000 yard players besides him did it in 16 or 17 games. OJ did it in 14 games as the seasons were shorter. I even went back to Jim Brown in his 12 games as the seasons, and he didn’t run as much on a per game basis. I should add I’m aware Jim Brown didn't accomplish 2000+ yards, but I’m looking at a season divided by games for an entire season, and the most on avg. per game for a season so that is how I did the math.
  11. Shaheed! Shaheed! Shaheed! This is the obvious, plausible WR for the Bills to acquire. If we planned better, we wouldn’t be desperate for an outside WR. But Beane made his bed, it’s his problem to fix. Shaheed is on books for $1.2 million- so we don’t have to do advance salary gymnastics to get him on our roster. Yes we will overpay. But who’s fault is that Beane? Shaheed is an electric returner, which we certainly can use. Shaheed has the fastest recorded time on the NFL this season. We need speed! We need speed! We need speed! No more slot WRs! People say they dont want Ladd, because he’s a slot WR- but want to trade for Meyers- it’s insane and illogical. No more slow WRs!!!!!! We need speed! We need speed!!!! We need speed!
  12. Well he deserved it and should win OPOW.
  13. Bills will lose by more than a td.
  14. Every player is clapping 👏 and listening to the coach intently except Keon, who is spacing out. Not a good look. Was he spacing out when Josh threw the football and it hit Keon in side of his helmet? Get your head in the game and buckle up buttercup
  15. White trash pedo lovers.
  16. Big in Wichita Kansas. I have family in Wichita and visited a few times while BTK was loose. Wichita was freaked out and fearful
  17. Biscuit, 89, Talley, Odomes, Leonard Smith, Ballard, Lofton, Hull, etc man that team was loaded!
  18. THAT’S the spirit. Bruce Smith, Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas, Andre Reed, centurion Marv Levy couldn’t do it. But a California farm boy with one legit playmakers around him can do it all! …….
  19. have you seen the image of him training with kyler Murray in the offseason?
  20. If you have Josh you have a chance . Period.
  21. Today
  22. Honestly how do people with that sort of outlook live? I genuinely do not understand it. Saying "I'm not gonna judge this team until the post season" totally fair. But to say about any perennial play off team that you can't even enjoy regular season wins.... I mean if you can't enjoy wins then sports are not for you. Because any team. In any sport. Over a lifetime as a fan... there will be a lot of losing and a majority of non championship seasons. If that means you can't enjoy it then go do something else.
