I don’t think Kincaid can be considered a starter. He’s our TE2, which is a role player/back up in this offense. Doesn’t mean that isn’t important, but he has a ways to go to supplant Knox as TE1.

Cook Agrees to deal with Bills

Outstanding news. Now give him 20+ runs a game in the playoffs. -
One thing I’ve learned about Beane is don’t bet against him. So if he can get a deal done with McGovern, it wouldn’t surprise me. The salary cap keeps going up so there’s another place for potential cash. I think Edwards is gone next year.
-
Yea like I said earlier I think McGovern is now the priority. Edwards and Torrence are the two based on historical philosophy that are going to be replaced. Good news is the Bills look like they have some young capable lineman to fill in the gaps or the draft capital to add to the interior OL in the next couple of drafts
-
The Bills had 6 picks in 2023 two being in the 7th round. If Kincaid rebounds to his rookie year form the team will have gotten two plug and play starters on the offense in Torrence and Kincaid and a starter on defense in Williams possibly. That’s 3 starters out of a draft that didn’t have a ton of capital. I agree that if Kincaid is a bust then it’s a lackluster draft class but not a tragic one.

I would imagine Beane will bring in a kicker especially when cuts around the league happen if this injury with Bass is more serious then what is being reported. -

Cook Agrees to deal with Bills

Glad this distraction is over and he can contribute to what will hopefully be a championship season! -
They extended Brown rather quietly last season about a week or so before the season started. I think given that Cook was in a holdout type situation they were probably more motivated on that front. I am hoping that they are quietly working on a 3-4 year extension for McGovern. I get that you can’t keep everyone but the Bills should be able to keep McGovern on a solid number to keep 4/5 offensive line spots intact. Let Edwards walk to save some money and cut Samuel and get Knox to take a cut if you need to find the money
-
Even LaPorta , while still solid last year, came back to reality some last year
-
The most baffling thing to me was the insistence to run the 1 yard psuedo lateral/screen to Samuel ... the one thats like a 20 yard lateral at or on the line of scrimmage that nets -.5 yards a play... like can we please stop that... like don't do that ever... and maybe re work the screen game bit... maybe..

It's for his glaucoma!! That's why he needed his shades. 😜

So the continued absence of Tyler Bass is beginning to get concerning. "Pelvic soreness" seems to me a masking of a much more serious injury. Shavers not practicing is too bad. Moore quietly and quickly working his way to a job as grocery bagger at Wegmans. -

this is a made up stat, as is yours unfortunately for example we lost to the bengals in the playoffs and ravens last year by more than one score -
2023 kind of lived up to its reputation as a poor draft class, yeah? You wish we would have traded up for Addison or drafted LaPorta over Kincaid, other than that there isn't anything that sticks out with our 1st pick. Looking through the 2nd and 3rd round not a lot of game changers in there. All things considered Torrence was a pretty solid pick as a good starting RG considering the other players drafted in his range. Day 3 was almost a complete bust for the entire NFL, at least based on early returns. Still too early to fully evaluate the class but looks like most teams came away with maybe 1 franchise player, 2 at the very most.

The next priority on this team is McGovern. I don’t understand why people don’t believe it can be done. Knox has a 17 mill cap hit. They aren’t going to stay at that number. Knox is getting released or taking a big pay cut. Like in the 6-7 million range or we save 9 on cutting him. Samuel is not going to be here next year and that’s another 6.5. That’s 13 million without any restructures or other cuts etc. There is money for McGovern if they want to get it done. It’s Edwards who I think is gone but one of the 2 will be back next year
-
It’s actually better for 4 years with 30M for cap purposes. I don’t love the deal, I don’t think he’s THAT good, but on a team with next to zero high end talent in the O, he’s valuable. I agree, shorter would be more ideal from a sense of being able to move on, but I’m going to guess that a lot of the money is in signing bonus so he gets paid now and the cap hit gets spread out over 4 years.

Cook always looks that way. That doesn't mean he is or ever has been stoned, but yes, it does look that way. I'm neutral on cannabis (have and still occasionally imbibe). It wouldn't work for me to go through life in that state constantly, but I know many true stoners that have absolutely excelled throughout their academic and professional careers (finance, law, engineering, etc.). At the end of the day, perform like 2024 James Cook and I really don't give a crap how high you are.

Burrow being in the "top 4" kind of reminds me of how Paul Pierce tried to get himself into the GOAT discussion with MJ, Kobe, and LeBron.
