A Few Thoughts about the Texans Game - Community Edition

Hoecht may have played only six quarters, but he was very impressive against the Chiefs. That was a huge loss....... -

Knox was wide open on the final play and right in Josh’s view. He chose Palmer instead and got picked. Likely Josh being jumpy because of all the hits he took all game but still, not anyone around Knox for ten yards. -
Forget Brady. I want them ALL gone. From the head coach down to the third string fullback. Nuke the whole franchise, salt the earth and move on
-
I don't think you can fire. As said, who is gonna replace him and revamp the offense this deep into the season? That said zif I'm McDermott, I have long talk with Brady and tell him during the extra time off, to figure something new out. This current offense is going nowhere. Granted, a big part of the problem is that they have no receivers. McDermott and Beane were incredibly stupid to think last year's offense was sustainable in any way. They bet on Coleman improving and lost

Is watching the Bills fun for you these days?
Pine Barrens Mafia replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall
I start by first being honest with myself about what this team is. It's a poverty franchise, and it will NEVER win a championship. Doesn't mean I don't sit my ass in front of the screen every week. Doesn't mean I won't go to games. Doesn't mean I don't wear a hat every day of the year pretty much. It just means that I'm intellectually honest. Unlike many Bills fans I try not to delude myself into thinking somehow that this team will ever overcome its inherent capacity for failure. Being a bills fan for most of us is something you're born into, like a genetic disorder. You're born with it, you'll die with it and it's painful. You just gotta learn to live with it -

I agree with some of the good things that you said about McDermott, but they really do need to get rid of him either now, or at the end of the season. If he is in town for the free agency period and the draft, we are destined for the same dumb decisions to be made. Also, I know he is under contract but at some point, Josh might ask for a trade. Tell me, how do you think Josh felt while watching the 2025 draft and seeing him draft defensive players with the first FIVE picks? It is that simple. -

My problem is, on the 1 pass to win the game, Knox was totally uncovered on the left sideline for a walk in TD. And Allen threw the ball to Palmer, double covered not even 5 yards of Knox. Whatever Brady had screwed up the rest of the game...that play was on Allen. -
It's not "can", it's "will" they? Bills fans keep talking about WRs, but this and other games like it are on the Buffalo offensive coordinator in my view.

I hate to say it, but I’m starting to think that it might be better for this organization for the team not to make the playoffs this year. Maybe that would get them to make some necessary changes and make some of the returning players hungry again. -

This team is mentally and physically weak. We are a soft, soft team. This iteration of our Bills is done. Too old, too slow, too predicatable, too injured, too inept. The team needs to be blown up from top to bottom while Josh still has the second half of his career. Complete house cleaning. It won’t happen. The best we will get is to fire both coordinators and go out and get some experienced coordinators instead of these asses we promote from within. It’s a complete abomination that you have a first ballot HOF QB and you can’t get to the Super Bowl McD and Beane can go rebuild the Panthers, time for a cleaning. -
Tyrell Shavers reminds me of John Stallworth....
Ray Stonada replied to Kelly to Allen's topic in The Stadium Wall
Did he have a target tonight? He wasn't even on the field as much as last week, which didn't make sense to me. -

After last week, I was disappointed to not see much of Gabe Davis. Also, did Shavers even have any snaps on offense? Instead we get worthless Elijah Moore. -

#4 is the most frustrating part. They were putting pressure on us all game so what does Brady keep calling?? 2nd level concept routes that take to long to develop. This man doesn't adjust for *****, instead he rather get Josh killed play after play after play -

From the mouth, McDermott added, “I believe in our offensive staff,” but it’s clear that the offensive scheme needs to get better. Right now, the whole Bills’ offense revolves around expecting Allen to make plays, even when he’s under relentless pressure. That’s not a winning formula. “They had 12 hits on Josh, eight sacks. That’s not a healthy formula right there,” McDermott said. “It’s not a healthy way to play or a healthy way to keep our quarterback healthy through the remainder of the season.” https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/sean-mcdermott-josh-allen-takes-too-many-hits-weve-got-to-figure-that-out You know, back in the day, QB Dan Marino was the guy that most other QBs envied because of his quick release and precision passes. Although the Buffalo Bills had his number because of his tendencies. Because of that, they knew if it was going to be a pass or run, and once they knew the signals, they also knew the play. A big reason why he didn't get past the Buffalo Bills very often. This season's Bills offense reminds me of that, and if crappy teams like Miami and Atlanta have figured it out. If Buffalo had an OC who knew what he was doing, the Buffalo Bills might be undefeated right now. Never did I think that an OC could turn our Superman back into Clark Kent. This jackass of an OC did just that in front of the world! -

THANK YOU for the sacrifices you are making for us. As for our Bills, what you saw is what it has been. There have been some bright spots, but it's been that kind of season. -

This years Patriots remind me of the 2020 Bills and this years Bills remind me of the 2020 Patriots, especially on defense. In 2020 I remember saying how slow and old the Pats defense was.
