The backbone of the right wing movement is to silence opposition. They are ALREADY silencing, academics, tv shows, news and anyone who holds a green card. The gaslighting is incredibly Kafkaesque. Just today Texas A&M fired a number of professors and staff because a student objected to talk about gender. The student said that Trump ordered what speech is no longer permitted. Yesterday, the State Department said they will deport anyone who talks ill of Charlie Kirk. Paramount/CBS is on mission to silence anyone who is critical of Trump. The Right is only for speech they like. After years of accusing the Democrats of curbing free speech, it was all a confession of their primary goal. Putin and China must be shaking with glee as Trump and al destroy the foundations you claim to protect.

A few Random Thoughts After the Ravens Game
BADOLBILZ replied to PoundingDog's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah they were.....until the last few drives. And I agree the Bernard extension was dumb. Made no sense. This is not a guy who is likely to start in the NFL for the length of his extension even.......he is almost inevitably going to get hurt enough times from bouncing around in that traffic and then the nose for the ball won't matter because he will become physically limited, IMO. Even if he repeated his historic splash play season from a couple years ago not many teams were going to sign up for a MLB that size with a history of being too banged up late in the season. The Bills weren't going to have to pay him more than they did, IMO so Beane just took a bad risk there like he did when he foolishly extended Eric Wood for 2018 back in summer of 2017 when there was basically ZERO chance he would leave Buffalo for numerous reasons..........and then ended up eating $10M when he failed a physical in January. -
I won’t argue with you. I too would like to know where we stand on yesterday’s calls to round up Democrats. I wonder if we’ll hear calls to round up gamers, or Mormons, or gun. culturalists knowing what we know now. Probably not. Not that we should. Point is that all of those frothy people, as you noted, need to chill.

Two or three people, fading in and out Like a radio station, I'm thinking about but I can't hear Who gets breakfast? Who gets the lunch? Who gets to be the boss of this bunch? Who will steer? Turning Turning To see your face alone I'm hoping there's someone home Dream Do you dream? Dreaming Do you?

Zion is built more like a defensive tackle. Jordan is 62 and his knees are shot. -

so, if you're wrong... what? does it matter? if they're wrong....what? does it matter? this was a fringe political group attacking the conservative party. something that has been done time and time again in recent history. only twice was it a democratic victim - Giffords, and then in Minnesota recently. and then one time some incel shot a church up in charleston. the conservatives had their churches shot up, their schools, their politicians playing baseball, their president speaking, one of their main media personalities... it's going to be hard to convince anyone that conservatives are not actually under attack.

Game Week thread - Bills at Jets
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
While fields is an athlete, and a threat to run in read-option plays, he doesn't have the same throwing ability as LJ. Fields has a good arm, but is a bit more scattershot in his throws, isn't as accurate on the move, and his release is slower. He (like a young josh) struggles to throw people open, and will sail some. His pocket presence has been a weakness as well. As for hall, he's not derrick henry. Which is a good thing. Same as us - when your teams banged up in camp you tend to have lighter practice loads for guys and lots of guys skip padded days. Week 1 happens and i feel like the game-to-game preparation and practices ramp up a bit. -
So where are you on yesterday’s calls to round up democrats?
-
It matters only insofar as there are a ton of republican politicians pinning this on the radical left, including our president. If we all agree that "it's gotta stop", and the "it" in question is political violence, then the president going on TV and blaming "the radical left" for Kirk's shooting BEFORE ANYONE WAS EVEN APPREHENDED" doesn't seem like the best move, does it? It doesn't scream "de-escalation and lowering tensions", does it? So I agree that a sick person is a sick person regardless of his political or ideological affiliation. But if repbulicans are gonna go on TV and make frothy-mouthed claims about the evil left, then well...yes, it does seem to be important to ascertain whether that's even true.

in his defense, AI is just a collective of the most popular information on the internet. AI, Gemini, which you used believes that Obama was the first endorsed candidate to get nominated to openly support gay marriage. he was not. after further discussions it admitted that he only approved same sex unions in 2012 and declined a position in 2008. it then said jessie jackson was the first in the 80's, but he was not a nomimee. then it said kamala harris was in 2012, but then admited she was not a nominee. then i kept pressing to have it say Biden was and came out in 2020 as in support of gay marriage, which was true. however, it took direct questioning that trump openly supported it from first announcing his candidacy through his election that he was the only one to have done that to that point. ai then refused to acknowledge he was pro gay marriage because trump does not believe in gay marriage. which it refuted itself on when saying that personal viewpoint is not a political viewpoint. so...yeah, AI needs work.
