Will Aircraft Carries be obsolete in the near future for a major war? I know they are very useful projecting power into regions around the globe, but is we fought China, for instance, would they last very long? Ward Carrol was discussing this and he obviously thinks so, but I think they wouldn't last ten minutes in a real shooting war.

That should be funded as well. At the end of the day, it’s just another item on the list of stuff us Dems are going to have to reinstate once we’re back in power.

I love this so much...

Just trying to understand your position because it seems to change frequently. Maybe it’s just your general need to make extreme statements. If you were to rank THE BEST USE of tax dollars (which moments ago was arts and sciences), how would you stack: soft power politico pro arts and sciences
-
its a good thing we have a defensive guru as our Head Coach
-
Can Palmer play X? otherwise Keon at X1 with Shenault and Prather behind does not count as competition in my book. It actually looks like a gaping hole with a major question mark at X1

PPP notes that the Roundy-parrot keeps squawking "arts and sciences". Not one word about NPR News. He certainly did not read the President Trump announcement posted above.

THEY HAVE BEEN A DISASTER … FOR THE LEFT: No Wonder Why the Liberal Media Thinks Trump’s First 100 Days Are a Disaster. By Matt Vespa It’s no mystery why the media is out with their latest psyop about President Donald Trump’s first 100 days. They’re calling it a disaster of historic proportions or something. It’s another moment for the legacy media to debase and humiliate themselves, providing another window for more Americans to flock to alternate information ecosystems. When you boil down why the press is so mad, it’s simple: Trump is doing the opposite of what Biden would have done. It's almost comical. DEI initiatives are toast across federal agencies, the southern border is secure, illegal aliens are being deported, and businesses are investing here. American manufacturing is being rebuilt: MUCH more at the link: https://townhall.com/tipsheet/mattvespa/2025/05/01/theres-a-reason-why-the-liberal-media-says-trumps-first-100-days-are-disastrous-n2656372

Who is our worst match up in the AFC as of now?
Gregg replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
They have a good coach, and they have done well this offseason, but I would guess they are probably a year or two away from giving the Bills a real challenge. They will be improved this year but probably not enough to catch the Bills -

Why is the President “trolling” people? -
Politico Pro is a tool for government workers to do their job better. US soft power keeps us on top of the mountain. A healthy nation funds the fine arts. Not military parades.

If you have a couple mil I could tell you how to do it.

Elijah Moore Visiting the Bills today (Update: Signed!)
Doc Brown replied to bills742's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's probably likely. I don't know exactly how they factor in QB play into account in each WR's grade. Not paying their membership fee. -

I'm surprised nobody mentioned the Pats. They will be tough this season. Not an easy out anymore. -
We've got a decent amount of bodies going into camp. Heres the depth chart projections as of now: There will be serious competition for every WR Spot that isnt Shakir's. Like any FA/draft addition, starting spots won't be given to new comers. Keon, Palmer, Samuel, somewhat Moore, Shenault, Virgil, Shavers, Hamler, Prather will all be competing for the 2 outside WR jobs. Obviously there are some favorites to win those starting spots; but I expect it to be a real dog fight. Quite a few guys at the bottom of WR roster that were considered projects, who have been PS long enough they need to make a real push for the 53 man, or they might not get invited back to PS even. I expect those guys to get a legitimate shot to win a starting job. What they do with the opportunity will depend on them, and their development over the last few years. There are essentially 9 dudes competing for 2 spots: Keon and Palmer are the favorites to win, and I hope they ball out, and give Coach no choice but to start them! But Im especially hoping Moore, Samuel, Virgil, Shavers and Hamler help push them. Whoever ends up the #3 outside guy, will see tons of playing time too!

No more Veterans Day, Trump says

May Is Military Appreciation Month, and There’s Much to Celebrate Catherine Salgado The Department of Defense announced that May is Military Appreciation Month, and thanks to President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, our troops have something to celebrate. From the skyrocketing recruitment to ditching DEI to reinstating those fired over COVID-19 vaccination status, the Trump Department of Defense (DOD) has much to promote in terms of achievements going into Military Appreciation Month. And hopefully, we will continue to see more victories in the future, such as successfully separating “transgender” troops, as Hegseth’s DOD announced it would do before activist courts intervened. Make sure to thank any active duty military and veterans you know this month! They sacrifice so we can live free. I personally would like to thank my parents, my uncles, and my brother who have served or are serving currently in the military. https://pjmedia.com/catherinesalgado/2025/05/01/may-is-military-appreciation-month-and-theres-much-to-celebrate-n4939411#google_vignette Hmmmmm. I wonder why Roundabout didn't start a thread about this, instead of falling for President Trump's latest troll. . -

All your NFC games are at 1 PM. I am pretty sure Fox will want one of those games (Tampa) at a 4:25 PM start -
Perhaps you would prefer to visit the great states of Greenland or Canada? It's the Golden Age of America, lots of choices!

Sounds hyperbolic. Better use than for hundreds of subscriptions to Politico Pro? You were a strong advocate for that expenditure. Better use than supporting American soft power around the world? If you start a go fund me for your classical music needs, I will donate. Keep me posted.
