  1. Past hour
  2. There are specific rules of what you can and can't do in this regard. As long as they aren't breaking the rules, it is smart football.
  3. I don’t necessarily disagree. I just don’t accept the idea that a player is being kept out because the game is deemed “less important” by McD or anyone else with the team.
  4. Heard some people calling this one of the the Bills “trap games”. I don’t believe it personally but would not be surprised if Kamara, Olave and Johnson cause problems Sunday.
  5. No problem from me as long as it isn't like the Patriots did it , I say get every advantage you could, If i was a coach I'd have a team of guys trying to get the edge on signs
  6. Mitch Morse resume for Legend of the Game: -5 years as the starting center of the Buffalo Bills -Made the Pro Bowl as Bills' center -Was Josh's center from year 2 to year 6 of Josh's career, helping to develop and protect our young franchise QB. Stability at the center position for a young QB is huge. A guy who can help with the protections, keep the huddle calm, keep the offense steady. As Artful Dodger posted, he was like the dad of the offense back then. -We made the playoffs all 5 years Mitch was here -Starting center for 10 playoff games, including an AFC Championship game -Put his body on the line for the team (the concussions) -Was with the team through some serious adversity (the AFC Champoionship game loss, the pandemic, 13 seconds, the Damar situation---heck, all of 2022). His stint with Buffalo wasn't that long, but he did a lot of Bills living in those 5 years. Definitely worthy of being a Legend of the game...and having long-term respect from Bills fans.
  7. I have a tough decision. I’m in an ATS Elim SURVIVOR Pool, having used TB, LAR, LAC in the first 3 weeks. I believe it’s Winner take all, so > $15k is on the line. If you think this is easy, there were only 13 of us left after the first 3 weeks out of > 150. One went out last night on Zona, 3 moved on having the yuuuge balls to take Seattle. My thoughts? Down to Packers, Lions & Bills. Generally, I want a Home team. So, it’s down to DETROIT OR 🦬! Aaaaaaand, I am going to the game! 😆 Is this the crush em by 40 game?
  8. I’ve always found it distasteful of the Davis family to let Tom Brady own them on and off the football field.
  9. Too soon for Perry Tuttle?
  10. Which do you find unimportant, winning or learning?
  11. McDermott in general seems very conservative about injuries during the regular season, which I think is a good thing. It is not black and white like you say (how often do we see guys playing in the playoffs with nagging injuries they would have sat out for in the regular season). A lot of the medical clearance depends on the players themselves reporting how they feel. A non-conference game against a bad team is about as low stakes as you'll get, and anybody who is borderline should sit.
  12. You have all week to prepare and a headset on game day for a reason Robert…
  13. Josh doesn’t get a fair shake? I think Josh is represented fairly. The shortcomings of making the superbowl have never been held against Josh but rather the team and coaching staff in general. Double that down with his MVP and I think he’s treated correctly. Never heard anyone say he’s anything less than one of the three best guys in the game. Who isn’t giving him fair evaluation?
  14. That's silly, and intentionally obtuse.
  15. Interesting accusation from Saleh yesterday, naming a lot of names. Liam Coen was asked about this at a press conference today and he didn't deny it, just said he didn't want to talk about it. How does this affect your opinion of NFL games knowing this might be a thing? Do the Bills do it? How much of what we blame on our team could just be the result of the other coaching staff knowing our plays ahead of time, rather than execution or effort or Xs and Os coaching prowess? Do the Chiefs do this in our playoff games? https://www.si.com/nfl/why-robert-saleh-accused-jaguars-sign-stealing
  16. They're both important. Do you cheer for the Bills to win or learn? Just for Orlando. Maybe you could just watch the movie. The Handmaid's Tale author, Margaret Atwood, published an article in The Atlanticin 2023, responding to the school board in Madison County, Virginia banning her book from high-school libraries on the grounds of having explicit sexual scenes. She argued that the official reasons for the ban are ridiculous, stating that her book "is much less sexually explicit than the Bible." Limiting what kids can read based on religious views is also a form of totalitarianism and flies against the separation of church and state that the US is founded on. The author stated that despite her book being misunderstood as anti-Christian, The Handmaid's Tale was partially inspired by biblical texts and argues "against totalitarian control and power hoarding cloaked in a supposed religiousness that is mostly based on the earlier scriptures in the Bible." Atwood does have a point. It makes little sense that her book is banned, while movie and TV adaptations that include more explicit scenes are not. Banning her book from libraries only affects those who can't afford to buy books. Atwood also raised the topic of book censorship in the age of social media and streaming platforms. The Handmaid's Tale depicts a dystopian society where the theocratic Christian authoritarian regime of Gilead has taken over the US. The penultimate fifth season of The Handmaid's Tale delves further into June's story. The provocative nature of the subjects discussed in the story may cause discomfort for certain people, especially on the subject of sex, birth control, and women's rights. However, contrary to what is claimed in the official statement on the book ban, sex exists only by mention. There's no direct, on-the-page description of explicit activities. AlthoughThe Handmaid's Tale was written for adults, the book often makes an appearance on high school reading lists. The author has since teamed up with Penguin Random House to create a fire-proofed version to ensure her book cannot be burned.
  17. And lets be real, he was one of the top 40 players in the world at his position for over a decade. He earned that
  18. If you were really interested in truth you'd actually understand that learning is what is important over winning.
  19. Tua won a national championship as well and was a top 5 pick in the draft. Cam did all that because of unrivaled athletic ability, not because he was smart with x's and o's. I mean, I'm sure he knows football. He was an NFL QB. But that was never what made him special. It is usually the less physically gifted QBs (like Tua) who know the game better because they have to.
  20. Not really, not in terms of the draft. Since McDermott arrived, the Bills have drafted a db three times in round one, as opposed to two for the DL. In this same time period, the Bills have drafted a total of 14 dbs and 11 defensive linemen. If you want to cite expenditures only at both positions you would be correct. Count me as one who believes that the draft is the most important way to build a football team. Yes, trades and free agency are both important but clicking on draft picks is the most vital aspect imo. https://www.drafthistory.com/index.php/teams/bills
