How do we feel about Higgins playing most of the game concussed?
Jerome007 replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
I mean, he obviously hit his head twice, and one time, clearly showed he had issues, yet he did the protocols, and he played well till the end. His one hand TD catch, you can't do that with your brains scrambled. He had adjusted smartly to the ball too. IMO he was fine. But yeah, if not for that play, I too would think it's suspect. -

I thought of the Denver game immediately after the 2nd interception. -
There's no sneaking about it, imo. He's carrying this entire circus on his back.

This is why I try not to post during games anymore. Games are stressful enough, but when you watch the D get chewed up & see yet another turnover, I begin sharpening my "fire McDermott" pitchfork. But I took a deep breath, waited it out, then watched them pull off a miracle. Whew! I can't stress enough just how annoyed I've been seeing the INTs creep back into Allen's game recently, so to get a win AND see a clean game from Allen? Amazing! -

I can't tolerate that place. I think I stopped going there about 6 weeks ago and my life is much better for it. I kinda understand going there to laugh at the idiocy. Other than that it's intolerable. It's one thing to watch great quarterbacking. It's another thing when the great quarterback plays for your favorite team. It's at another level when the quarterback is your favorite player of all time. The difference between Allen and Burrow in the area of athleticism is rather huge. Is there any doubt in anyone's mind that if Allen had to tackle Benford that he would have? Burrow didn't even come close to muddying his frosted tips. Especially early on Burrow was throwing perfect passes beating excellent coverage. It was an impressive display of accuracy and ball placement. But our defense showed that he's human. And, there's no analyst I'd rather listen to than Greg Olsen. He's just superb AND likable. And Hawes was again dominating in blocking and caught the TD. Bernard. And he was holding his head while laying on the ground. It's incomprehensible that the league misses these things. -
If New England wins, they officially win the East.

Same here. The line I hear is that the team is ahead of schedule with their franchise QB, organizational alignment, a very good coach, and a ton of cap space. Their future is bright. -
Superman puts the cape on again today in the 2nd half, and now he is 6 TD's away from 40. If he stays hot, and the Bills keep winning, he could sneak a 2nd consecutive MVP as well.

It had to be flexed by last week I believe. Not gonna move at this point. 1pm it is
-
Yes, and there already 3 good games at 4pm. Packers/Broncos, Rams/Lions, and Seahawks/Colts. Now since Daniel Jones just tore his Achilles so maybe that can be flexed. The night games maybe, but honestly, I love 1pm games. For the Buffalo people, you’ll get the game, and for the out of towners, there are other options. Besides I don’t want to wait all damn day for a night game that makes me nervous.
-
What's funny too is the colts collapse. I had a feeling when I saw them winning early, I was like this could be a Trent Edwards type collapse year. What was it 2007? 5-1 then choked. Sure enough it's tracking that way.

I never want to hear again how the Bengals were going to boat race the Bills in the Hamlin game that was cancelled. In that game they went right down field and scored a TD to go up 7-0…just like this game. The following Bills drive stalled inside the 10 yard line and the Bills got a FG…just like this game. The Bengals appeared like they were going to march down and score another TD in the Hamlin game…they actually did do that this game. Bills down 14-3 after a near identical start to this game the Bills won. Don’t want to hear it again. What happens in the 1st quarter doesn’t decide the game. -

Just saw Josh in the locker room talking about not riding the wave and staying even/lower emotion… it reminded me of low positive Josh. -

I get that. But if a player is mentally compromised, it is not fair to expect him to make rational decisions about his health. -
Nope. Not gonna do it. I just can’t root for the Chiefs. True.

Yeah, well even if they lose they likely win the division as well. We would need the Dolphins to upset them in New England or the Jets to beat em. It's probably not happening. Just win and control what we can at this point. -
Pretty sure I said they need two WRs. They have Kincaid next year and then you draft WR in rounds 1 and 3. Bring back Shakir and Palmer. Let Samuel go. Trade Coleman for a 7th. Shavers is #5. I am an unabashed Knox guy. He was my second favorite player on the team after Allen. Now its Cook but Knox is still top 5 fav. Beane for all his cap mismanagement has gotten a couple guys to take home town discounts to stay (Morse and Von come to mind). Hopefully Knox knows how good he has it and takes a reasonable pay cut on a new 3 year deal. Use the rest of the draft on Edge, Safety, IOL, and LB.

I said earlier in this thread that there was no way I could ever bring myself to root for the Chiefs. That's still the case and I want them dead and buried. That said, it's going to be a "hate watch" tonight as I can't stand either team for very different reasons. I guess the only redeeming thing about this game tonight is that no matter who wins, there will be a bright side to it in some way shape or form. But man, I wish they could both lose.....

3 for his career. -
How old is Kincaid next year? Don’t worry, I’ll help you out: he’s the opposite of Edmunds. How much more upside does a 27-year-old have? He is what he is. No one can argue he’s not above average when available. He was a questionable first-round pick, and it looks even worse now when you see the production from younger, more talented TEs. There are players hitting free agency every year who can match his output. DK still hasn’t had a single season that tops what Gesicki has done multiple times. I’m using Gesicki as an example, not necessarily pounding the table to sign him, though I wouldn’t be against it if a player like him was available. What’s wrong with short-term deals for guys who actually produce? How can you look at the Knox contract and be ready to run that sequel again? If you’re cool paying top-five money to a tweener who struggles to stay on the field, I don’t know what to tell you. For your reference. If DK had similar production (19,20,21 & 24) we'd be thrilled. Gesicki has an AAV of 8.5 million. Goedert will be available in the off-season for likely much less than DK.
