The smallish defense is neutralized in the playoffs because the whistles dont blow the same way, the defensive scheme is more reactive and not dictating the game, and the pass rush is many times ineffectual from the front 4. And here is the thing they are a few plays away but part of being the better team is to not have such slim margins and those most important plays are being lost on both sides of the ball, but the offense typically makes plays (minus Cincinnati) but the D is lacking the big plays to change the outcomes in those losses. So we are trying to beat the best QBs in the big moments without enough pressure on the QB.

Again, our D looks good in the regular season for the most part but can't make the big play against KC when it counts. This should not be a controversial take. Josh Allen can't play D too.

Good point. Just as important is no injuries. Although lately the starters play very little in these games. I doubt Allen plays in the first one. Maybe a series or two in the other games.

I don't know about you but it's really surprising to me that the same entrenched bureaucracy that was able to fabricate evidence and present it to a secret court in order to get permission to spy on a presidential campaign and administration might also be able to disappear evidence that it doesn't want out there. Yeah the SB was the perfect storm. The Eagles front played the game of their lives and Mahomes/Reid got completely flustered. It’s not really dissimilar to the Bills performance vs the Bengals in the playoffs. Just one of those days where nothing goes right.

I've said it here before. I'd rather see a less statistically dominant defense like we had last year than one that can make a big stop in a big moment. Please please please let one of the 193 DL that we drafted be a keeper
