Not even close. Schottenheimer’s teams were tough and physical. They played great run defense and were physical on both sides of the ball. he was an excellent head coach who developed not only players but coaches too. its a shame he never made it to a Super Bowl, he was a much better coach than Dan reeves and Sam Wyche. Just had bad luck against Denver. schottenheimer would have Parcells legacy if he had Josh Allen for 8 years. if you want a more accurate coach to compare McDermott to it’s probably Jason Garrett. He is our Jason Garrett. Ironically it was McDermotts lousy defense in Philadelphia that broke the cowboys playoff winless streak to Garrett’s offense. after like a decade in Dallas the organization was taking away all his gameday duties and making sure he wasn’t calling plays. He never developed any coaches, just like McDermott. we are stuck with McDermott and his lousy defense jus like the cowboys were stuck with Garrett until the players basically revolted against him in 2019. That won’t happen here.

That's the only way any needed changes are even considered by Pegula, IMO. Unlike the Sabres, postseason football has become routine. Not making it should at least raise a Pegula eyebrow. At least I would hope.

They played an injured Joe Flacco with no Chase… I don’t care if they can beat the inferior oppponents.. Good for them, I wish we could.. but there aren’t any extremely flawed inferior opponents in the playoffs.

Do the Bills make the playoffs

Maybe missing the playoffs spurs the absentee landlord into action -
I don't believe Kansas City has found more gems than us They had Chris Jones who is a future Hall of famer and Travis Kelce future Hall of famer before mahomes McDuffie is really good.. and so is Creed Humphrey.. but they were both pretty highly touted prospects.. Not top 10 guys but guys who scouts all said had tons of talent .. Creed was the number one center basically on every scouts board I do not believe they consistently turn fourth fifth sixth round picks into better players than the bills do Our development rate is basically the same if not even a little bit higher towards the bills over the last 7 years What we don't have is three future Hall of famers... But two of them were already on their team

As long as Josh Allen is healthy we make the playoffs. It’s a double edged sword because we make the playoffs and McBeane stay but if Josh gets injured and we miss it McBeane stay. Pegula is the worst and won’t fire them for whatever reason

Better draft pick 😅😂😆🤣Might as well light those on fire

It’s entirely possible getting the 7 seed could work out better than the 5 or 6. It’s too early to tell for anyone.

Compared to the Bills right now, the definition of cream has been expanded.

Didn't keep them from beating an inferior opponent, unlike this bills, for whom every injury brings in catastrophic systemic failure -
The first line of the 2025 Bills’ season video will be…..

Hard disagree. Still have to see them do it in the playoffs and they likely just lost 2/5th of their OL today.

And literally the only reason why most people think the Jets GM is terrible is because they do not have someone like Josh Allen. They have talent sprayed everywhere around that team. obviously, we cannot ignore that Brandon drafted Josh, but imagine how freaking terrible this team would be without that one player. He no longer gets a hall pass seven years later. his last two drafts are beyond atrocious.

Who is that in the AFC though? Theres not really any cream to rise to the top.

Solomon is a bust and we need a DE who has played DE (i.e., not Sanders). No idea if this means Bosa will be out and needs surgery on his wrist, but a DE was needed whether or not this is the case.

KJ I respect your football acumen. What do you make of this Bills’ team? I am not impressed in the slightest. Josh seems to have lost his juice to a degree. Our receiver group is bottom 5 easily. Maybe bottom 3 w the Saints and some other scrub team like the Raiders and Browns. It’s really appalling w such a great QB and RB that we look overwhelmed in so many games. And the defense is a bunch of parts bought at the junk yard. You know how some people try and steal copper wire to sell for money. That fits Brandon Beane. Buying used players w no upside. I have been a fan since the 70’s when I moved to Buffalo New Years 1976. Haven’t lived there in many years. But all 3 of my kids are huge fans even though they have never lived in Buffalo. (They live in Miami and LA. But watch every game. And live and die w the team like their Dad.) Heck my ex wife is a big fan and she grew up in Texas. And my girlfriend is a big fan even though she is from the D and is a big Lions fan too. My mother is 84 and never misses a game. She used to drive down from Toronto w her boyfriend to every game. I bleed the Bills. And I am hurting. I hate McDermott. Don’t think he has the smarts, the moxie or the toughness to lead us to a Championship. My college team is the Michigan Wolverines. I love Sherrone Moore way better than McDermott. We aren’t great this year. But Sherrone has a presence, a plan and a confidence that we will be great again soon. And we will play Ohio State tough next Saturday if not best their ass. Because we have a pride and a toughness that is Michigan. And it should be the Bills too.

A lot of players who became starters, were decent in their role but have been unable to repeat or sustain what was putting the team at the top of the league or earning them a contract. Turnovers and unfortunate and sub par play calling on crucial downs and moments is the two biggest issues. At least to me.
