Is there anything you learned in school you still apply in daily life?
muppy replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall
I took the OP very literally. YES I still apply things I learned in school to my daily life. 1. Be on Time 2. Wait your turn 3. I still put on my listening ears and thinking cap. don't you? 4. RESPECT AUTHORITY 5. Be nice to bus drivers 6. Don' Cheat. and finally 7. do your homework! -
"They should just give Cook a decent offer ..." What makes you think they didn't? And yeah, I do remember all the mediocre backs since Thurman we've trotted out with no playoff appearances. Devin Singletary, for instance. Zack Moss. Oh, wait.

Beane is good at drafting after all -- A look at 2022
DrDawkinstein replied to boater's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's almost impossible to really compare with the 12 round drafts, little free agency, and no cap of the old days. -
My first favorite season is summer. It hasn't always been the case. It used to be Autumn- Fall- FOOTBALL SEASON - Indian Summer. All of that. But where I live Autumn kind of blends into winter with not much in the change of colors like you get in NY Summer in socal is sun and fun and Pool season. Backyard swim parties with potlucks and watching kids swim in my pool it's a great season. I Love it but football season is coming and Im stoked not gonna lie 🙂

This is a whack take lol Milano avoids some bad luck this season and I expect him to dominate for 15'ish games. He isn't injury prone in the typical fashion. Dude gets banged up and misses starts 2-3xs a year, but he hasn't had recurring serious injury problems. Snapped a bone? Hes not geriatric lol his bones are as healthy as anybody else on the roster. Biceps tear (or chest i forget?)? More concerning, but not some bug creeping up behind him like we have to worry if hes going to rip a pec off the bone at any moment again. 14-15 games + playoffs is not earth shattering absenteeism for a player at his position. Dorian should not beat him out this year, and that's just fine with me. Hell be ready when called upon year 3. Next year? All bets off Helluva write up, thanks! You sold me on it!! -
That’s the kind of 4D chess that McD is playing. When Keon is running against the flow of the coverage team, it will actually look like he is running with the flow and confuse everybody.

I love Brandon Beane. He is every bit as good as Bill Polian if not better. I have no doubt that he will bring a Super Bowl home to Buffalo. -

Nielsen started as DL coach for saints in 2017. Had 42 sacks that year. Peaked with 50 a couple years later (we only got 37 last year with an extra game). Got the best out of cam Jordan and developed Trey Hendrickson to get his first 10+ sack season. He did flame out as a DC (though jags last year were a mess) but has demonstrated an ability as a DL coach (ATL doubled sacks too). Happy to see him cook up some new rush packages (stunts have been a focus of his I saw reported). Yeah I’m hoping they didn’t want to demote west after one year and that’s why the titles stayed the same. Joe Marino was the one mentioning that he’s teach technique from all the OTA videos. Will be a thing to watch for on hard knocks. God I love that we get that look inside this year. -
The only thing incorrect is you accusing me of claiming when the clips happened. I literally never said they were from anytime in my OP. You went on some mission about “when” they were, all I said was for those concerned about today there are some a couple nice catches in the trailer. You then you went on and asked about when the clips are from in the Hard Knocks trailer and I just said probably OTA’s or from Bills Embedded footage. Also, I literally told you “when” was even irrelevant, point was there were a couple nice grabs on the trailer for encouragement amongst all the negativity a few of you were focused on about today. This whole tangent is a bit ridiculous lmao

What’s the outlook for Hardy? Was surprised he didn’t make the 53 after a strong camp last year. He’s small but has speed and was great covering the slot in college. might just be a bad scheme fit with McDermott basically wanting big slow DBs who come up and make sure tackles after giving up an easy 9 on 3rd and 7. hopefully drafting Hairston means he evolves from his 1996 cover 3 shell.

I'll say this. I'm far from an espn defender, that daytime s*** is terribleeeeee. Sportscenter is garbage except for during baseball season, when their is high enough game volume to give them highlights. I have a firestick the last year and theres a decent amount of games on there, and the night programming is pretty damn good. 30 for 30s rule. "Espn U" is great, theres no click bait hosts shows. Their college coverage shows, is like a time machine back to when espn ran my childhood. "College today" has been awesome for Conference Media Weeks. Last night I caught a mini doc following SC Gamecocks, (there there were tons of tj Sanders highlights clips). Was like an hour, maybe 90mins.... sure enough tonight theres another SEC team on. Honestly theres not much espn cant offer that NFLN already doesn't. I like Sunday Night Gameday with MJD and the other guy, a throwback to nfl primetime. I'll be pissed if they ruin that. Overall, id prefer it stay as is now, but im always like that. If I want to watch some actual in depth NFL coverage, I'm going to YouTube anyways -
Your fears are unfounded. Keon Coleman was an excellent punt returner in college. He had 25 returns for 300 yards... 12.0 yards per return which is elite. Punt returners don't actually have to be fast because most of the time, they're running against the flow of the coverage team.
