Like the Rams gling out and getting DeVante Adams when they already had Nacua. I don't question Pickens's talent. I do question how he'd gel with McDermott.
-
I’m guessing Sanders can’t play LB, CB or even WR either, huh?
-
Jordan Poyer, Jordan Phillips, Tre White, Gabe Davis and now maybe Shaw Lawson have all been starters or played a significant amount snaps this year. 😂
-
If they bring back Shaq Lawson I think it says a lot about the leadership void they feel they have. He hasn't played football in over a year.

Beane/ McDermott should be ashamed of themselves

You mean like all the smart organizations do (GB, Philly, Baltimore)? What a novel I deal! -
He reinjured it against Tampa and then played with an open thumb cast against Houston. He’s essentially been one handed. His pressure rate has dropped 2/3rds since being a top pressure DE in the league pre-wrist injury.
-
He has to learn the scheme. He is good to go for September.

Around the NFL - Nov 23 - Week 12 (no Bills stuff in this thread please)

I took a flyer before the season on Baker to win MVP at 21:1. After a few weeks,I had the opportunity to cash out at 4X my original bet, but didn't do it. I don't think that one is going to come through for me. -
Beane/ McDermott should be ashamed of themselves

I mind...especially at his salary Beane overpaid for a guy who was a Chargers cast off that had one singular touchdown before the Bills decided to give him a fairly large deal Palmer could be fine if he was a third or fourth option making around 3-5 mil/year Neither of those things are true, and Beane brought him here to play opposite of Coleman as a starter -
It's not just that Beane ignored the WR position, it's the fact that he poured all his resources into the defensive side and the defense is still awful. Arguably worse than last season.
-
This is not necessarily true. The Bills can certainly get in at 10-7 but it will matter which games they win and require at least some decent fortune in other AFC results. For instance, if the Bills beat PHI/NYJ/CLE but lose to PIT/CIN/NE, they are completely screwed.

Here we go again. Just can’t help themselves. Can’t that one DE Fox play?

I mean, there’s a very simple way to keep cap spending down on WRs. Draft them early and often and don’t pay them. -

Or maybe instead of always trading UP for defensive players maybe for once you just trade UP for an offensive weapon not named Josh Allen. Luther Burden fell in the draft and went a couple picks before TJ Sanders. You get an extra 3rd for trading back for Coleman and take ANOTHER worthless D lineman in Carter instead of taking Troy Franklin. Heck you could’ve bypassed taking them both and traded up for BTJ. Beane is McDermotts puppet. Just watch the way McD pulled him to talk after the Bucs win or anytime McD is superglued to Beanes pocket in the draft room. They both need to go. oh and I’m sure this fun thread will be merged into some other obscure thread soon enough lol -
He hurt his wrist in the Carolina game and it does look like he's getting a little better. But he's obviously not 💯
-
This has to be some kind of a sick joke? It is, isn't it?
-
Is Bosa hurt or something? What did I miss? I thought his wrist thing was fine now?

Here's why they do what they do: https://nfllines.com/nfl-2024-team-positional-spending-win-correlation/ It's a long article, but if you run the data on the correlation between the percentage of the cap spent on position groups and winning percentage, the order goes like this. Quarterback & Offensive Line (0.288) TIE Cornerback (0.171) Interior Defensive Line (0.077) Wide Receiver (0.064) Edge (0.012) Running Back (-0.048) Tight End (-0.093) Linebacker (-0.123) Safety (-0.166) I don't agree with this because the eye test tells me that elite WRs and EDGE players make game winning plays. But the data says to invest in QB and OL above all else, but CB and DT are also key to winning. That's what Beane has done and I think his smugness comes from the fact that he has the data on his side.
