What is it the Bills do at halftime that completely turns games around

seeing how much we suck to start and how much we pwn in the 2nd, i think jaraun gets a bag of kittens and puts a gun to their heads at the half saying they get it if the bills don't smarten up.

also i a big component of the bills recruiting is finding animal lovers.

IMHO, Jauron giving the players Monday AND Tuesday off has a lot to do with it...

he has done it the past 2 weeks and the first half the team has looked just pathetic before figuring it out and turning it on in the 2nd half...

This team cannot count on one good half to keep winning games...it will eventually catch up to them...I feel like I am ranting about the Sabres poor play for the first 2 periods before turning it on and winning it in the 3rd...it caught up to them, and it will catch up to the Bills....

That said...damn this team can dissect a team at halftime with adjustments...the Rams did just about NOTHING after the half before they hit that 60 yard screen pass to Jackson...

the run was completely shut down...Jackson gained about 8 or 10 yards the entire second half averaging like 1 yard a carry or less...

We faced two teams in the last two weeks with there backs to the wall with a win or heads will roll mentality and we beat them.

Coming out in the second half and taking control is mark of a championship caliber team.

Of course we can dissect the win and I'm sure we will, but 4-0 is pretty doggon good, no matter how you cut it

You are what your record says you are..

Good teams find ways to win games.. Let us not forget this QB is in his second year and still working out the kinks.

I am enjoying this 4-0 sounds great to me. And the O line has been shaky at times but dominate when it counts.

"It seems like the Bills are playing to the level of their competition this year...played very well against the Seahawks and Jags, 2 playoff teams from last year and very poorly against 2 supposed jokes of teams that we were supposed to blow out..."

You can't really make that assumption in the NFL anymore. It's too competitive. Teams that look mediocre or bad right now can turn it on in a heartbeat. IE: The Chiefs beat the Broncos today.

Last year the Giants were a play away from losing in the playoffs. The season is too long now and free agency has really leveled the playing field.

I'm not saying that Buffalo's slow starts aren't a little scary, but it's too early to tell whether that's a good sign because they're still gelling, or a bad sign because they're taking too long to get in sync.

Not when it mattered. You're expecting this team to blow out a bad team, and you should probably lower your expectations.

Imagine being a Denver fan today. Or a Dallas fan.

Enjoy the win.

I've mentioned several times that Denver is overrated...Don't even pick them to make the playoffs....altho with that underachieving SD team you never know. Dallas-well they r a bit overrated too. No one in the league looks that good so far.

I feel like I am ranting

So do I.

Winning on the road against ANY NFL team is not a game of Madden. This team doesn't look good to FF freaks, but they never panic, keep pulling the trigger and hitting the target when they have to rise to the occasion. That's pretty damn impressive, regardless of the competition....and they certainly have room to step up their game even more.

'Tis true.

People forget that the Bills during the Super Bowl years were much much better in the 2nd half. They would generally start off slow and pick it up throughout the game.

Really? I seem to remember them blowing teams out of the stadium in the 1st half then putting it on cruise control.

A shaky 4-0? No I don't think so. They crushed Seattle, beat a decent Jacksonville team at home in the heat coming from behind to do so. They came back against a Raiders team that is not as bad as everyone thinks and they just beat the Rams pretty handily and shut them out in the second half. If you want to win all games 35-3 it ain't gonna happen and it will make for a very boring season.

Your memmory is foggy. Team would give you WTF moments, make adjustments at 1/2time and then come out and run up the score.

On another tough, Jauron reminds me of droopy dog, "you know what folks, I'm happy"

You're right. To this day my wife still says. "Don't worry, they only play the fourth quarter." I remind her that was a long time ago...but I think she may be right.

They did have some of those game as well, but I also remember them playing some very close games and even losing a few headscratchers to teams they should have rolled on paper(New England and the Jets were always tough outs seemingly, and we usually lost to them at least once...)

I also remember them losing to a putrid TB team on the road as well...

9 times in three years where they were losing at halftime and went on to win the game. 26 times where they led at halftime and went on to win the game.

the point about letting them take monday and tuesday off is a valid concern, but i suspect it is just to mitigate the effects what is sure to be a brutal mid- and late-season stretch. the extra days off might just leave them a bit fresher later on

he is walking a fine line there, but luckily the players have pulled through every time. i still can't believe they keep pulling these wins out.

You posted everything and still missed the point. look at how much more they scored in the second half in relation to the first. More of the games, the Bills played much, much better in the second half.

When you play a 0-3 thats desperate it's always dangerous and in the first half they came out swinging but a good team will regroup at the half and take over the game so don't be like ESPN. I'm not saying were world beaters yet but were a a good team. The o-line didn't play well but were 4-0 nothing else matters. Just enjoy.

This thread really irritates me. The NFL is a league that prides itself on parity and competitiveness. SD almost lost to Oakland the same way we did, Dallas & Green Bay got beat, Denver lost to a terrible team, ect...TAKE THE WINS ANY WAY YOU CAN GET THEM! Are there things that we need to work on? Of course, but we got the job done. This "shaky team" stuff is bull sh--. We're 4-0, one of 3 teams (if Pitt beats Balt.) in the whole damn league. Enjoy the ride folks.
